Scorpions vs Underdogs

***********************

After the acknowledgment of the guests, Teacher Solomon proceeded to announce the student's names. He stood in the middle of the field and called the contestants according to their ranks.

"Let's applaud young lady Emily to the Arena." Teacher Solomon said.

The audience applauded her while she gracefully walked to the arena. She stood in front of the Underdogs, her gaze remained solely on Xavier and so did his.

The intense stare between the two made some of the audience think she was going to call him out to the arena, but unexpectedly, she pointed at Zeke.

Her choice came as a shock to Zeke, he was not bad in martial arts, but he was also not great. But Emily trained like hell and she was very skilled compared to him. Her gaze was fixated on Xavier, yet she was pointing at him, Why did it have to be him, Did she plan to humiliate him in front of his parents, or was she punishing him for being lazy?

Ezekiel gulped and reluctantly stood up from his seat, he dragged his foot, taking a glance at his parents who were in the front row and grinning like cats. They expected him to win because he was going against a girl, if only they knew how strong and skilled she was.

"Young lady Emily has chosen young master Ezekiel of the gray mansion to spar with her." Teacher Solomon said.

"Let's applaud young master Ezekiel to the arena." He said again and just like before, the audience applauded Zeke to encourage him.

When Zeke reached the middle of the arena, he glared at Emily, shooting daggers with his gaze, but Emily stood unfazed, She nonchalantly walked towards the weapons shelf, picked up two swords, and went back to Zeke handing a sword to him.

"Teach her a lesson, son!" Ezekiel's Father, Sir Simon Gray yelled from the front row of the audience. Ezekiel took a deep breath.

"Hey, Emily, you're gonna let me win right, that's why you chose me, you know I didn't prepare or practice, right?" Zeke whispered to Emi as they both bowed to each other and took their fight stance.

"Death or Blood?" Teacher Solomon asked. it was only going to be decided when there was a mutual agreement between them.

Zeke's heart raced in his chest, he knew he was no match for Emily, What if she chose death, Was he going to die just like that, in the hands of a female? He didn't mind dying in the hands of a Female in bed, but he didn't expect to die in the hands of a female holding a sword.

He anxiously waited for her response and felt relieved when she chose blood, he didn't mind bleeding, it was a ton better than death.

"The fight started and Zeke was about to whisper something to Emi when she unsheated her sword and pointed it at Zeke's throat. He was fast to react using his left hand he swung his sword upright, hitting Emily's sword. He stepped back, skillfully throwing his sword from his left hand to his right hand and blocking another attack from Emi. She attacked while he defended, her attacks were strong but he was swift and also good in stunts.

Ezekiel flipped backward, opening his legs, Emi swung her sword, almost hitting his nuts. Zeke's eyes showed and he was confused as to why she was attacking him so fiercely and viciously.

She smirked as she charged in on Zeke, jumping and landing with full force, making a heavy clanging sound. Zeke was good in stunts but didn't have a good Stamina compared to Emily, even though she was a girl.

Her stamina was top notch and her attacks were also calculative, after hitting Zeke's sword with force, she found an opening. She kicked his chest, causing him to fall flat on the ground. She nearly pierced him to the ground but he was smart enough to roll away.

He stood up and swung his sword, switching to offense, but she was too quick to react, She dodged, squatting on the ground took a handful of sand, and sprinkled it on his face. He was distracted and since he was unable to see due to the sprinkled sand in his eyes, Emily had the upper hand.

She was expected to pierce him or injure him deeply, but she just sliced his arm slightly, leaving a small cut that dripped blood.

The crowd applauded her and she bowed slightly, Zeke was unbothered about the small cut and also unbothered about the fight, he knew Emily would win anyway so he was more focused on getting the sand out of his eyes while he cursed.

"A round of applause for our winner!!" Teacher Solomon said, raising Emily's hands in the air.

She collected some sort of medal and she went back to her seat while Teacher Solomon proceeded to announce the next contestants.

"The competition was going smoothly, with all of the students choosing blood and avoiding death. However, the teams were tied and just one more round, and whatever team that won that round won the competition.

"And now, please welcome our last contestant, Prince Carigan of Melech kingdom." Teacher Solomon announced and the crowd applauded their prince. but back to the Underdogs, they were all scared down to their wits, every one of them trying as hard as they could to hide their faces and not draw attention to themselves. Carigan was a wild dog, he chose death whenever it was his turn and successfully killed his opponent without breaking a sweat. So much for a temple filled with monk-like teachers. What kind of temple accepts death, they needed to change the name of this f*cking warriors school.
