Decisions

The three of us sat down and went over what we discovered on our scouting missions today, and the news was not good.

Dwayne: "We can assume that most if not all cities are destroyed, and I guess that's where the safe zone tokens come into play. Also, plant life is expanding rapidly, and it won't be too long before they become a massive threat. Sakura is a great example that there will be plants that will gain intelligence like that of humans. What is worst is that animals are also evolving faster than humans. It seems like we are slowly moving to the bottom of the food chain. Most of the population has turned into zombies, and the few left can barely get along while fighting for power."

Joe: "It is goi g to be a long and hard journey for us to rebuild what we lost, but I know that we can do it. I have seen your leadership from when we were young, so I know you are the right man for the job. You know the battlefield is my place, and I would happily lead our troops and beasts into battle for you."

Michelle: "You know I have your back in whatever you would like to do. Whether dominating this new world or recluse ourselves from it is fine with me; as long as I'm with you, it's ok."

Dwayne: "Thanks, guys, for sticking with me, but you know I'm already walking the path of domination. I choose to have someone above me longer or control me. This God that made this world like this will have his day when I reach his level of power one day. We will grow stronger and rebuild the world in our image until then. It is to follow and obey or get abandoned and die."

Joe: "Damn, Bro, that's badass. From when you were younger, I knew that there was a beast inside of you waiting to come out. About the time that you started to follow your instincts. Hahaha."

We laughed and joked around about our past, present, and future. While the scent of the food was intoxicating to smell, we would have to wait a little longer before we could dive in. We also talked about where would be the best place to set up the safety zone to get the best benefits out of it.

Soon, cooking the beast meat and the other foods was done, and everyone was eating their fill. Of course, Joe, Michelle, and I had the best parts of the magic beast meat. We were genuinely surprised to find out that eating magic beast meat can give a minor improvement to our stats. The stronger the magic beast, the better the stats they provide. This will be great for building up our soldiers' foundations and being citizens' bodies.

Thinking back to all the powerful magic beasts' bodies we left behind left a bad taste in my mouth. Also found out that our pets prefer to eat the magic beasts raw than cooked, and it also helps them improve their stats.

Now that dinner was made, it was time to find out what was on the minds of everyone here. It was good to know that more and more people were showing up and settling in throughout the day. There were also a few mages and warriors among them. You can also see that there were some bad apples among the survivors.

Dwayne: "Everyone can pay attention for a minute?"

Many people were still talking and not paying attention to what I was saying. Mainly the newcomers that didn't know my attitude too well. Looking at Joe and Michelle beside me, I sighed before telling all my beast to surround everyone and roar.

"Roar"

Random Man: "Are the animals finally going to attack us? I knew we shouldn't have trusted them."

Random Woman: "I'm scared; will I die here today?"

As the people were getting frantic, I saw some fighters preparing to attack my battle pets.

Dwayne: "I wouldn't attack them if I were you. Now that I have your attention, let me get straight to the point. I will be leaving tomorrow morning through the forest, heading west. If you choose to follow me, I expect complete obedience. Anything other than that, and I will kill you. Suppose anyone wishes to leave and be on their own, that is ok. You might think I am arrogant or full of myself, but my strength allows me to do so. If anyone of you feels that you are stronger than me and want to fight for control, you are welcome to try. But do you know the consequence of your action is death. For anyone following me, there are rules to follow. Breaking them, depending on the situation, may lead to your death. Are there any questions?"

The crowd was shocked and appalled by what I had just said. I can see rage and denial in some survivors, but I don't care because I will remove anyone who impedes my path. There were still some who were happy with this new structure in this ever-changing world.

Some of them stepped out of the crowd and pulled out their weapons, ready to fight. I couldn't help but laugh as I watched Joe and most of squad one getting up. I noticed that Bob was slowly moving away from the team and pointing toward me as he spoke to a group of people I didn't recognize. They also slowly walked out too, ready to fight. Everyone else stepped back, unsure of which side to choose. While Lisa, Elisabeth, and Stanley slowly moved behind Sam for protection.

Joe: "Bro, look at all the eager participants wanting to die so soon. Hahaha."

Dwayne: "Bob, I thought you would know better than cross me. What is giving you the confidence to betray me after I trained you and protected you through this?"

Bob: "Dwayne, don't act all high and might; if you weren't so lucky to get that necklace with all those beasts inside, I would be stronger than you. Without those beasts, you are nothing, ordering me around like I'm some slave to you. You don't even know how I wanted to kill you many times."

Dwayne: "Everyone is under the impression I'm weak. Joe and everyone else, stay out of it and leave this to me. This includes all magic beasts; stay on stand by, but if anyone tries to leave or cause trouble to, kill them. As for the beast I beat and tamed them my self not because of my space pendant. It is only an object to store stuff but too bad you have pissed me off so I will be killing you all."

Random Man: "When Bod told me how full of your self you are I couldn't believe it. But seeing you now I finally understand that ge wasn't doing you justice. You may belive you are all powerful because you have to power of space but you are not the only one with a supreme element. I too have to space element and believe that I will be a better leader than you as I'm not some dictator trying to rule over everyone. My name is Steve Armstrong and I will defeat you.

Joe: "Bro who is this clown and Bod you chose to betray us because he has the same element as Dwayne. Hahaha; I couldn't find anything funnier. Do you even know what level he is on. I feel sad for you all, no not really but it was nice knowing you. Hahaha."

Dwayne: "Well let's get started I don't have all nite to play with you fools."
