Night had fallen, and Byung was making the final rounds in terms of closing up but the weather out there was not so friendly, the wind blew aggressively and the thunderclouds sang as if welcoming the descent of Thor. Soon, the little bell by the door rang, implying someone had gained entry and upon looking up. It was the female police officer that he had encountered earlier that day. Come to think of it, he didn't even give the card given to him a look and stole a quick glance to see just what her name was. "Hayoon." He thought to himself but he noticed the patrol car outside, with her partner standing watch in a suspicious manner.

Hayoon had a slim face, black hair, and eyes matching her hair. She had smooth, even features with glistering pale skin. She was noticeably shorter than her partner, measuring 5'2 as opposed to his 5'7. She was definitely prettier than your average girl and of an average bust.

"Why does it feel like I'm in trouble, Officer Hayoon?" Byung asked with a smile to mask his nervousness and his suspicion was spot on as the lady pulled out a Glock 19 and aligned the barrel to his forehead. "Get on your knees!" She barked in which Byung complied, getting on his knees with his hands up. He was taken into custody.

Mrs. Han arrived around this time and would see a male police officer, standing watch, making a gesture for her to stay back. She watched in shock as Byung was taken away in handcuffs but when she asked what he did, the word that escaped the female officer's mouth was murder while she carted him away like stolen goods. Mrs. Han just stood there, trembling in shock.

Cho and Kwan had arrived home, it was unusual for Byung to be out this late but they thought perhaps the Manager was giving him extra hours as punishment for arriving late at work but the tension increased each passing minute. But one thing Byung never did regardless of how busy he was, ignored their calls as these were pretty much the only people that ever called him.

Kwan had a really bad feeling about this and he was right to. "Hey Kwan, shouldn't we go look for him?" Asked Cho in a worried tone but his voice was soon drowned out by Kwan's ringing phone, in which he quickly picked as he shouts and a conversation soon ensured.

"PRISON!?" Kwan shouted with Cho's face becoming suspenseful.

"Hey officer, I didn't know it was Illegal to be unattractive. isn't this discrimination?" Kwan tried his hardest to suppress his laughter as Cho giggled in the background but the officer soon hung up. They knew the seriousness of this but knowing Byung, they knew he was scared, this even is an understatement. Kwan knew the phone was on speaker and Byung was in the room. This was occasionally done so the suspect would know the call had been made, especially in this specific district. Unorthodox but effective in letting the suspect drop his guard but hearing Kwan and Cho make those stupid jokes made Byung smile in relief. This was just what he needed.

"You haven't told me what I'm here for, Officer Hayoon." Byung said, finally digging up some courage.

"You are being charged with the murder of Mr. Jin," Hayoon replied, tossing photos of Jin's dead body taken at the scene. It was traumatizing. Mangled in such a gruesome manner that made Byung almost throw upright on the table. The head looked like an erupted volcano, it was blown open and pieces of brain splattered everywhere.

"Get that sh*t out my face!" He shouted, knocking the pictures to the floor, putting his right hand across his mouth almost as if he was trying to hold his vomit in.

"What the f*ck is this stuff!? Stop messing with me!" Byung screamed, on the verge of losing his cool but Hayoon was pretty calm, gesturing the officer in the room to stand his ground. Due to him already reaching for his taser but Hayoon did not see this as necessary.

She retrieved the displaced pictures from the ground with a sigh escaping her soft barely parted lips and put them back on the table, but pointed to a specific message carved into his bloodied corpse. It was written in Latin and read Qui Gerit Daemon Fuerit Iudicatus Mark. This translates to "A Demon Who Wears A Mark Shall Be Judged", but what did this have to do with Byung? It all came down to the anonymous phone call received at the station and according to the call, it gave the description of Byung. Byung had opted not to exercise his right for a lawyer and the police officers attempted to take full advantage of this but something seemed off and Hayoon could sense it. This was sloppy but effective, it was a simple work that made investigators look for Byung regardless of if he was innocent or not and the CCTV footage across the road established he was the last person seen with this man. This was what led them to make the arrest.

Gesturing, the other officer left the room. Leaving just her and Byung as an awkward silence soon sets in but it was broken just as quickly.

"I know what you are." She said, looking him dead in the eyes with a grin.

"Huh? We in some sort of p*rno flick?" Byung asked, clearly confused as his head darts nervously around the room, as if checking for hidden cameras.

"I know you are not normal, Byung." She said, trying to maintain her composure.

"Now, you are bringing my looks into this? That's pretty f*cked up." Byung replied with a pissed off look and threatened to call for his lawyer but Hayoon did well do break the tension with a peal of heartfelt laughter.

It was obvious he wasn't the killer, even a child could tell but then, it was made to look like he was. Considering the body was found almost 24 hours after death, and in such a terrible state, identifying the cause of death proved an insurmountable task. But things weren't looking good for him. With all evidence pointing firmly that he did in fact commit the crime and he had no alibi to rescue him from this dilemma.

"I know you are an Abnormality, Byung." She said in a soft but absolute voice that could make even the gods doubt their own will.

"I know you are innocent, or at least, I believe that much. the spine was ruptured first, which induces complete paralysis. Which brings a single question, who wrote that message?" The cop said, even without an autopsy, how she could determine all this from a single examination of the crime scene was definitely something almost non-human and the surprised look from Byung tipped her off.

"That's right, I am an Abnormality. The Police Force has a division that specializes in such cases and who better to investigate than your fellow kind, am I right?" She spoke with such confidence that even Byung had no choice but to pay full attention, he felt drawn and couldn't take his eyes off of her. One word came to mind, and that is confidence.

"Well, this was our excuse to take you in, you will probably be fired from your job which I apologize for but you will remain in our custody till we figure out just what is going on but this is your choice." She said, getting up, she exited the room with Byung recalling the contents of the pictures but unlike the first time, he puked all over the table.

But everything was planned, like a chess player moving his pieces across the board, nothing was better when the bait was bitten and this was exactly the case. After identifying Byung, a bait was laid and the police bit. It all started from the anonymous call giving his description to the police. It was impossible to find him in such a busy city so they had used other tactics. They let the police do the hunting for them and now everything had played out exactly as Jin-Hyuk envisioned. He was truly a cunning individual, or should one say, a man of perfection. Jin-Hyuk was extremely skilled when it came to moving pieces across the board.

These individuals were seen on top of a building's rooftop, Jin-Hyuk and his yet to be identified partner. They observed the situation as a sickening smirk was plastered across his face and he muttered the word

"Checkmate."

The police station soon came into view with the lady finally letting down her hood to reveal her face. Her most prominent feature was her white hair which is kept in a loose, messy bun at the top of her head. She has yellow eyes and her body is toned and muscular, much more muscular than your average athlete. She measured 5'8 in height and looked like someone in her late twenties.

"What are you waiting for, why not just storm the building and kill them all?" The lady asked, tired of waiting. She was losing her patience but a calm Jin-Hyuk simply said.

"Innocent blood shall not be spilled, this is the principle I will never compromise, Chaewon." lighting a cigarette, he gazed at the moon and let out a puff.

"The moonlight sure is beautiful tonight." The hoarse-voiced man muttered to himself.
