Virginia thought that this ball came at the right time. It was an excellent opportunity for the girls to meet people, blend with them by chatting and have a wonderful time. And why not find the man they would like to spend the rest of their lives with. Of course, that needed to be reciprocal and from the other person involved in that kind of situation.

Yes, Virginia had decided. It would be great to participate in that event, but she had to clarify something with Harriet first. Fortunately, the two women had excellent friendly relations.

Adela took her out of her thoughts. "Aunt, why are you smiling? What are they writing to you?"

Virginia looked at Adela with a smile still on her lips. "If everything goes well you will find out soon. I have to sort something out first. I will be in the library for a while if you need me."

"Okay, aunt. Shall I tell to a maid to make us tea?"
