Second Day

Because if she was going to be in the Mafia, the kid has to know that killing targets is a minor thing in getting what you need in the Mafia. Murder shouldn't be a small thing, but in the eyes of such a corrupt group, it's minuscule.

Though... Would she even want to be in such a group? If she doesn't, Raven would have to shoot her on sight... The man screamed into his pillow as he went through his fourth call to establish connections with the people around for a more straightforward job in that country.

"We've got a scumbag we'd like you to eliminate... The fat thing has been racking up debt after debt amongst the bars and clubs in the city. Kill him, and you'd get awarded..." were the instructions given to Raven by a male, raspy voice.

Within an instant, the instructor had emailed the target's profile. A man nicknamed 'Mike,' a short, chubby statue with an unkempt black beard. The way he dressed was a rich man's outfit adorned with a Rolex watch and diamond earrings.

Raven flinched as looking at the picture of Mike in the attachments reminded him of Viper, a Prince of the Poison Clan under Venom's rule. The Mafian nearly broke his pen as he recalled his last altercation with that stupid clan.

The Mafia is further broken into a few clusters that help the High Kings run their countries. The clusters consist of Kings, Princes, and Lords. Raven's cluster was called Flock, and the group members were named after birds.

Viper was hurt in the crossfire when Falcon shot at the target without knowing that the target would move. Apparently, Snake tripped the alarm in the building, causing everyone to turn their heads. The bullet flew past the target's face and into Viper's arm.

Raven instantly sprang up from his hiding spot and behold the chaos. If it hadn't been for Wolf's Pack, none of them would have left that place alive. And if it hadn't been that damned Medusa's hair strand, the entire plan could've gone smoothly...

The Mafian High King slammed his fist onto the desk as he remembered that smirk on Lord Snake's face. Sabotage isn't uncommon amongst fellow peers, but it is best not to do so on a grand scale such as a Grade S mission.

The following day soon came, with poor Raven having to down expresso so he wouldn't fall asleep in the shower. Not only that, the High King had an extra errand to run.

The child would have to attend lessons during the day so that she wouldn't be free until half past two in the afternoon. This gives Raven a small gap in time for him to scout the other areas for potential danger zones.

Despite the country being quite advanced in education and technology, the streets aren't that different from what Raven grew up in. There were two sides: the nightlife in posh areas such as the Red Light District or Central Business District.

The other side would be neighborhoods, which Raven was particularly interested in as the young girl learned her skills there. The main difference between the two sides is the target audience.

The posh areas are usually for prostitutes, and the neighborhood's targets are young kids who want to try drugs or beat up other people. But the little girl isn't in any category... Which fascinated Raven to the nth degree.

At first glance, the child usually looks confused and sad. But once she held up those daggers or sensed an ounce of danger, the young girl turned into a lifeless killing machine. In those eyes, they hold no strand of mercy or care for life.

Raven shivered as he entered an alleyway but stopped once he saw a bunch of young teenagers smoking while glaring at him. Raven sighed and walked up towards one of them.

"Hello, may I know if you've seen or heard of this young girl?" asked Raven as he smiled at a male teenager.

"Huh?" replied the kid as he squinted at the picture and description given by Raven on a folder.

The teenager's eyes widened when he saw the face and dropped his cigarette. He then turned around and tapped on his friend's shoulders.

"Why do you want to know this girl? Because she ain't someone that someone of your kind should know of," asked his friend.

Raven sighed and smiled.

"My boss wants me to know everything about this girl and that she will join our group. Now then, do you know about her?"

The few friends looked at each other before producing some nice kitchenware from their backpacks. Raven laughed as he activated his claw. The first guy lunged forward with a knife, which Raven merely dodged by leaping backward and landing on a trashcan.
