Can't Let Go.

Luna's POV

"Are you really alright?" Dominick asked me for the hundredth time, running his fingers through my hair. "I'm fine, Dominick, I swear. I'm just a little bit shaken."

"Who the hell were those people?" He wondered aloud, throwing his head back in frustration. "I can't believe they had the effrontery to try and mess with my wife."

Did he just call me his wife? My stomach exploded with butterflies, but I remembered what Sol told me.

"What is it? Why are you frowning?" His curious gaze searched my face for an answer, but I masked it with a smile.

"It's nothing, I'm just a little tired."

He wasn't convinced, but he nodded. "Alright, I'll leave you to go rest, but I swear I'll get to the bottom of this."

"Thank you, Dominick," I tiptoed and pecked his lips softly before I could pull away; he pulled me closer to his chest.
