CHAPTER SIXTEEN: Zhi Meng Yao, get me a mirror.

The young man had no answer for that, he could not dare report that they had been beaten by the weak Zhong Kexin. But before he could think of an answer, a jade green porcelain cup went flying into the air, he was lucky enough that he had fast reflexes. He immediately ducked the cup. The cup landed on the ground far away from him and broke into smaller pieces.

Zhong Kexin's eyes were burning with anger.

"Get lost!" She screamed angrily at the top of her lungs and immediately the young man ran out of the room. Zhong Guiying's chest heaved up and down due to her anger.

"It was just a simple task, yet you could not accomplish it?" Zhong Guiying said out aloud before she got up and walked out of the room with her bodyguards and maid servants trailing behind her. She went to her front yard for some fresh air.

The silvery moonlight spilled from the hands of the night sky, seeping into the shimmering, calm waters of the pond that had little fish happily swimming in the waters. Accompanied by a thin sheet of fog hovering over the pond, the dreamlike scenery was almost like an oil painting.

Chow Yi Nuo sat down on her bed and decided to look at her face and see how Zhong Kexin looked like.

"Zhi Meng Yao, get me a mirror." Zhi Meng Yao hesitated as she did not want to hurt her Miss.

After thinking it through, Zhi Meng Yao fetched Zhi Meng Yao the bronze mirror. When Chow Yi Nuo saw Zhong Kexin, she almost fainted. No wonder everyone looked at her in a disgusted manner.

Damn! She was indeed ugly.

Her face was round like that of a ball and her facial features were completely flat because of her dumpy cheeks. Her skin was extremely tanned as well. Although her dress was beautiful, the body was a contrast. She needed to do something about it. Lucky for her she had watched enough videos online showing how to use nature to correct your body problems. What she needed was just more time. Chow Yi Nuo became much calmer after thinking through the matters.

She spoke to Zhi Meng Yao in a gentler way. "Remember not to cry easily from now on. Do not let anyone bully you without informing me."

Zhi Meng Yao was completely dumbfounded after hearing that, how could such a weak miss of hers become that strong after a fall.

Zhi Meng Yao threw Chow Yi Nuo a subconscious look at her. Her eyes widened in surprise. Chow Yi Nuo had a pair of crystal clear eyes and at that moment, she looked calm, confident and rational. For some reason, Zhi Meng Yao was tempted to listen to her words for some reason.

"Come with me outside." Chow Yi Nuo said to Zhi Meng Yao as she stood up from her bed and walked to the front yard.

The atmosphere outside Zhong Kexin's abode was serene and peaceful. She could hear the crying of the crickets. The moon could be seen shining brightly. It also looked vibrant. Peals of laughter arose in the front yard, as if nothing untoward had happened in the Zhong Mansion. Maybe they did not care that the lineal daughter of the Zhong Mansion had almost died in the forest. The transmigrated Zhong Kexin was well versed in etiquette and discipline.

Plants and trees grew in the courtyard spaces, providing shade from summer sun. The courtyard was square, vast and of a suitable size. It contained flowers and was set up with rocks, providing an ideal space for outdoor life. Chow Yi Nuo breathed in the sweet scents of the flowers. The night breeze blew by her face making all her sleep to disappear.
