Chapter sixty nine

Arty was on his phone when they got to the living room. Vivienne placed the cups gently on the glass table in the middle of the room before flopping into the space beside Arty. She plucked his cell phone from his hand and slipped it into the pocket of her pants before giving him a mischievous smile and gesturing to the cups and bottle of wine they had just assembled on the table.

 Arty shut his eyes and groaned. "Vivienne, you—"

 But she shut him up with a finger on his lip. Luis was watching them both with an unreadable look. He said nothing but he took notice of what was going on between them both— how Arty had calmed under her touch.

 "So," Vivienne began and walked to the table. She popped the wine open with ease and poured a drink into every one of the cups. Arty was the first person she handed it over to and he smiled at her in appreciation.
