*Alarm clock sound*
Ugh, I say in my very groggy morning voice, I must go to work, every day I wake up hating the fact that I must go to my dead-end, sucking minimum wage job. I feel like I'm stuffing on a horrible train that doesn't have a destination.
Everything is a reminder of how much life sucks the couple shouting at each other all day, every day, the stain on the wall that won't come off, the creaky wood floors with slabs missing, the overall pee smell, and the milk that's a little sour.
The uncomfortable train ride and the dreadful job.
"Good morning, sir, what can I do for you today?" I say routinely with my practised professional smile here goes another day.
-end-
I open my eyes and slowly adjust to the change of scenery, is that how my life was? So monotone and sad, I still have the lingering feelings of dread, misery, and a little bit of grief from the flashback; maybe a shower will help that. These feelings have brought on a familiar feeling.

"So, are these the only clothes available here?" I ask, feeling uncomfortable in this very dressy top and skirt. I knew the clothes here were dressy, but I wanted something more comfortable.
"Yes, dear only the best for you" I am wearing a very bright pink satin top that is off the shoulder with the bow in the middle of the breast area it's very flowy and it's paired with a black skirt, probably the only simple thing here and lastly, glass-like pencil heels with white outlines.
I arrive at the office and I'm a bit intimidated by the tall building, but alas, I walk in anyway and I find out my job is basically to sort files out. Tory standing in front of me as soon as I get in. Tori is the receptionist I met yesterday
"so you're with the Grayson Lucero"
"Yeah, you could say that," I say shrugging,
"Well, I thought I should warn you; the Lucero's are not people anyone should associate with, they are very dangerous people," she says with concern, and walks away, again with the one-liners and leaving. I knew that Grayson's family was very important, but I didn't know about the dangerous part and what does she mean by dangerous? Could Grayson hurt me?
Anyway, I've decided to put this at the back of my mind and finish my work. I'll inquire about this with Gaia.
Once I've finished working and I'm about to go home Skaii walks in
"Hey dude what are you doing? I thought I'd come to check on you and see if anyone has been giving you some trouble?" I chuckled and
"No need to worry I'm a big girl," I say with a small smile; it's the only smile I could muster because of the worry and stress I feel
"That's not convincing. What's up?" I decided to ask Skaii about Grayson
"So, about Grayson, someone told me something concerning" Before I could continue the look on Skaii's face told me she already knew what I was talking about
"Uhm yeah about that, see the Lucero's don't have the best reputation. I have something to tell you. Remember that costume Grayson was wearing, the vampire one, it's not a costume" I felt confusion hit me
"What do you mean that he's actually a vampire I thought there was only magic here I didn't know there were supernatural beings," I say while holding my temples I felt even more confused than ever I thought I was figuring it all out
"I can't do this," I say and run out; I feel like just as I was getting the hang of things and finally getting things, it gets messed up again now I'm even more confused than ever.
I get home and the walk I took calms me down. I walk in the house and I'm about to head to my room when I'm stopped by Gaia
"Aria darling I'm sorry you had to find out this but if you have any questions ask me now. " I have a lot of questions, alright
"Gaia, heads-up vampires exist in this world or realm whatever and your boyfriend is one would've been nice."
"I know, but I didn't know how to tell you when I saw him, you looked so happy I didn't want to hurt your pretty little heart, I'm sorry" I can see she's sorry, so I soften up
"Okay Gaia, I forgive you, but I just need you to tell me everything”
"As you know, the Lucero's are part of the immemorial families of Atheria; the immemorial families play a very important part in Atheria they are the descendants of the forefathers of Atheria. The power goes to the extent that even the council cannot tell them what to do or punish them for what they do. The Lucero really uses the power they have to hurt people; they haven't done it in a long time, but I fear for you because we can't save or protect if they have you"
I must confront Grayson about this. I want to ask him what his intentions are with me. "Thank you, Gaia, for telling me all this. I think I'm going to take an early night" I say before walking to the bedroom and trying to sleep it off.
