A promise under the starry sky

The sun in the west is slowly setting into the endless mist forest, darkness slowly starts to envelope the village. Starry sky slowly comes into view, thousands of star now cover the whole sky, creating an eccentric view.

At the edge of the Nadi River two silhouette sitting beside each other on the grassy shore, One larger than the other. Both staring at the sky fascinated by the view of the sky.

"Little regal, what do you think those little lights up in the skies are?" asked A middle-aged man, his body was well defined giving off a strong aura.

"Mother said those were stars outside the great sahi planet" responded the small kid looking about 7 years old. His face was cute as a bunny no extra fat covered in body. His eyes were filled with the vigor of a youth, pure and clean.

"Haha what you said is correct, but some those stars are also planets like our sahi planet filled with various kinds of life forms. They maybe humans,half-humans,angels,fairies,demons,elfs,beasts and many more. Only those strong people who can flatten mountains and boil up oceans are able to travel to those planets."

The little kid who was excitedly hearing the words of his father asked, "Father have you seen anyone who could travel to those worlds, WAIT!! Have you traveled to those worlds!!!"

The little kid stared intently at his father, wondering if he could travel to those worlds with his mother and father.

Seeing his son stare at him so intently, he awkwardly coughed dryly and said, "I have never met someone who could travel to those worlds and the question of me traveling to such far out world is quite far-fetched. Simply say I am far too weak to travel to such worlds."

The light in the kids' eyes dimmed as if he was disappointed by the response of his father. Seeing the kid become sad, His father didn't understand how to respond and kept quiet for some time.

A quiet atmosphere continued for quite some time, the kid entered into a State of deep thought. After some more time he finally screamed on top of his lungs, "FATHER DON'T WORRY ONE DAY I WILL TAKE YOU TO SEE THOSE WORLDS"

Ash Vress was quite surprised by the response of the small kid who never had ventured out the house. He looked at his eyes which were filled excitement of creating a new goal for him and thought to himself, "How many kids have made this promise of which how many could actually accomplish it.Haizz, if you could really take me to those worlds, I don't know how I would even react. When I was kid, Travelling to those far out lands is one my biggest goals but haizz after entering the road of awakeners did I understand how big of a dream I had."

He shook his head to distract himself from those depressing facts and said, "I will be waiting for the day you to take me to such faraway place"

"You don't have to worry, that day will come soon" responded the youth unwavering determination.

He stood up the pointed his fist at his father and said "This is a promise I, Regal Vress have made. Even if sky collapses or the universe is destroyed I will never go back on my promise."

Seeing the unwavering determination burning in the eyes of the youth a snuffed off fire for adventure was ignited in his heart, He slowly stood up dusting off the mud and some other things which had been stuck to his clothes and stared into the eyes of small kid who still couldn't reach his shoulder.

The small kid lifted his head and stared right back at him, not flinching even a little. He again raised his fist towards his father.

Seeing the actions of his son, Ash laughed heartily and gave him a fist bump and said, "A man must keep his promises always, if can't keep it never make any promises"

"I AM THE GREATEST MAN IN THE WHOLE WORLD, if I could not keep my promises than no one can" responded the kid screaming as loud as he could to make sure that his father understand that he was indeed the greatest man in the whole world.

"If you are the greatest man in the world then who hell am I?" Seeing that his son fully fired up .He could not fell but tease him a little.

"You you… AAAH You are the second greatest man in the world"

Being asked such a difficult question the kid could not come up with any answers and finally blurted out that he was second while he, himself was Number 1.

"Hey, brat you know that I am your father. How heck could you mess up the seniority like this" Seeing his son struggling to find answers, yet Ash still kept on asking such questions.

"I really want to see how long can you keep up this, you little brat" Thought Ash Vress wanting to push his son to the limits.

Regal was confused beyond confusion and didn't understand how to respond. He tried to come with thousands statements to say but none was able to justify him messing up the seniority. He scratched his trying to figure out what to say.

Ash seeing him suffer made him weirdly happy. A grin slowly appeared on his .His eyes were slowly being filled with playfulness and determination to humiliate his son.

Few minutes passed like this, Regal scratching his head walking few feet up and down the shore shyly looking towards his father. His father still staring at him with deep interest as if he would not budge until he answered.

Regal finally came up with an plan to escape from this situation .He screamed towards the house situated quite some distance from where he was standing, "MOTHER,FATHER IS BULLYING ME,HELP ME"

Seeing that his son using such an unexpected trick stunned Ash for quite some time, he saw a playful look emerge on his son's face. "Sure enough this little devil is my son" was the only thought running through his mind.

"ASH CAN'T YOU ATLEAST ACT AS A PROPER FATHER IN FRONT OF YOUR OWN CHILD, YOU GO DARE BULLY MY SON"A loud scream rang from the house filled with anger and hate.

DOOM~~~

Slammed open the door of the house, the poor door was broken out from his hinges. The gorgeous lady with a slender body wearing an exquisite dress carefully showing off her curves came walking out with heavy steps. Her beautiful pale face was now slightly red due anger, there was no extra fat on her face .Her eyes originally looked kind and gentle was now filled with anger and disappointment.

Large amounts of water started appearing out of nowhere behind the lady and were slowly transforming into several balls. Those water balls behind her were slowly boiling up.

Seeing the commotion created at house Ash rigidly turned around towards the house. His gaze first fell on the angry lady behind who water balls were starting to be formed and then towards the broken door. "Damn it, we had just refurbished the house few months ago. I will have up fix up that door again"

He then turned towards the small kid looking at him with his both hands behind his head whistling with a cheeky grin. It was as if he wanted to say that playing with him is like playing with fire.

"This brat I will definitely get you back for this" He stared at the kid but didn't say anything and turned to see the angry women who had come to beat him up without even asking for a explantion.He calculated the time required for her to fully launch her attack and turned his body towards the right side facing towards the fair bustling with people.

WOOSH~~`~

He made his escape before the water balls could be launched. He quickly ran towards the city square where the new year fair was being held.

He on his way towards the square screamed, "I will be at Star Hotel. Come only after you have calm down"

PUSSH~~PUSSH~~

Shot the water balls towards the figure running towards the city square. The beautiful lady cam beside the small kid and slowly bend down on her knees. Her slender pale hands gently stroked the forehead of the kid.

"Little Regal get ready for the fair, I will take care of that bully father when we reach the fair" her gentle voice quickly caused the intense atmosphere to break and created a loving and caring a scene of a mother and child. The starry sky gave it a more majestic look coupled with the beautiful maiden-like dress made this look like scene Queen caring for the prince under moon-light.

Trissa Vress mother of Regal vress and wife of Ash Vress sure had a bais towards her son than her husband. A single sentence of her son had caused her attack her husband who accompanied her for years. No one knows whether this kind of affection is normal.

Regal acted like an innocent and naïve child in front of her, he raised both his hand towards his mother and asked in childish manner, "Lift me up".

Seeing her 7 year old child asking to lift him, there was no hesitation her hands gentle grabbed waist and back of child. She gently raised him up and held on her right side of waist and quickly made their way to the house.

As they entered the house,

WAAH~~WAAH~~

Rang the crying voice of a baby girl from the up. The house was not quite big yet not soo small two. There were total of 5 rooms with 2 washrooms and a large courtyard. Hearing the voice of the crying baby Trissa quickly climbed up the stairs towards the room where the baby was placed.

She gently placed down Regal on bed beside the cradle. Regal stared intently at the baby in the cradle, his eyes filled with love and care. She was his younger sister Emy Vress.

The baby placed in the cradle was already a year old and was only 5 years younger than Regal, If one closely looked at her neck they could see a platinum pendent neatly tucked inside her clothing.

"Regal go to your room and get ready for the new year fair, I will take care of your sister for some time and come to down" gentle voice of trissa spread through the room.

Regal obediently nodded and made his way out the house towards his room beside his sister's room.

In Regal's room,

Regal opened the door of his room and jumped on the bed with his face down.

"AAaaa my nose" said regal in childish manner while rubbing his hut nose. He sat at the edge of the bed still rubbing his nose even though it was not paining much now.

"I want to really see who the new fair is going to be held this year, I will surely try out all the sweets I can eat, hehe be ready to be broke tonight my dear father" regal grinned evilly. Even if his father did not buy him the sweets he can use mother's help to force him into buying those.

Still thinking that regal opened up the cupboard and started wearing the neatly pressed cloths kept near the bottom of the cupboard.

As he slowly wearing his clothes, regal thought about the promise he made to his father. He smiled with confidence and decided even if it was as difficult as walking through hell barefoot even then He will keep his promise. No matter how difficult the road I have chosen is I will keep moving forward.

For 7 year old who has never left the protection of his parents, He was quite determined to keep his family happy.
