"What's up, Assistant James?" Jones' languid tone was a stark contrast to James' tense words.
"Boss is in trouble," James said, viewing Ruby from the rear mirror and hoping she wasn't listening in on him. Fortunately, she was on her phone, giggling.
Jones' demeanor shifted, his languor replaced by alertness. "What's the situation?"
"I don't know," James admitted. "He hung up before I could get details. Find out where he is."
Jones' fingers flew across his keyboard, screens, another window opening on his monitors. "I'm tracking his phone. Hold on."
The soft clicking of keys filled the silence. After a short moment, Jones' voice rang.
"Got him," Jones said, his voice firm, as he leaned back in his executive chair, the leather creaking softly. He pulled out another lollipop from his locker.
