First Time Cultivating

"What the fuck?"

Aiden muttered in shock. Just from her previous words, he could tell with much certainty that cultivating either the body or the soul was difficult.

Even though she told Aiden that cultivating the body wasn't difficult and hence most people choose that path, he still felt that it wasn't so easy.

He personally felt that it was only because Ariel was comparing the cultivation of the body to the cultivation of the soul that she said the former was easier.

He was only planning to cultivate his soul since that was harder and will most likely bring him more benefits. Yet, Ariel was suggesting that he cultivated both together. What was wrong with her?

He never said he wanted to die!

"What you afraid?" Ariel asked with a mischecious smile on her face. Aiden could tell that she was just trying her best to trick into trying it. However, there was no way he was going to fall for such a simple trap.

"Of course, I am afraid. I am not doing something that dangerous. I could die if I do it!" Aiden said.

This wasn't the right to show his manliness! There was no way he was going to cultivate both his soul and body at the same time.

"Sigh, I know what you are thinking but that isn't true," Ariel suddenly said catching Aiden off guard.

"What do you mean?" Aiden asked.

"Listen, I am not trying to hurt or kill you like you are thinking. Instead, I am trying to help you grow stronger. You can tell from the link if I was lying or not!" Ariel said.

Aiden did as she said and realized that she was truly not lying. However there was still one thing that confused him.

"Why did you not tell me the truth about how dangerous it was to cultivate the body?"

When Ariel was talking about the cultivation of the soul, she heavily stressed on the fact that cultivating the soul was very difficult. Whilst this was true, she didn't say anything about cultivating the body. When Aiden tried to use the link to check if she was lying, he found out that she was trying to hide something from him about cultivating the body.

After thinking for a while, he realized that Ariel had most likely not talked about the cultivation of body due to its difficulty.

He became more certain after she tried to convince him to cultivate both. By downplaying one, making it seem weak, she would be able to convince him to cultivate it much easier.

"I didn't say anything about it," Ariel said. "I only talked about the soul cultivation. I haven't lied to you. After all, the soul cultivation is much difficult that body cultivation!"

"Sigh... Okay. What would cultivating both of them do for me?" Aiden asked after cooling down.

He decided to listen to her; to near what she would say nonetheless.

"Unlike you most people don't get the chance to cultivate their souls at all. An example of that would be Mr White," Ariel said.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Aiden asked in surprise.

"According to what I know, Phoenix city wasn't that huge and advanced as other cities out there. In other words, the technology that can be found here are lacklustre at best!"

Aiden nodded. He knew this and didn't even need an explanation to understand what Ariel was saying.

Ever since his childhood, he knew that the technology in Phoenix city wasn't the best. In fact, if one was to compare Phoenix City's technological advancement to other Cities like the Four Seasons City, they would only see a huge disparity.

In other words, Four Seasons City was like a true City and Phoenix City was nothing but a mere town; not even worth mentioning.

"Good! Since you know that, you must have realised that the magic techniques and Magic methods here were all weaker than that of other Cities above you guys."

"Because of this, the magic techniques you guys cultivate here would be far weaker. You have almost no access to high end techniques!" Ariel explained.

"Hmm, that is true. But what does that have to do with Mr White not cultivating his soul?" Aiden asked.

"It has everything to do with it. Mr White only cultivated his body because the technique for cultivation of the body was easily available. Body techniques are very easy to find. Most body cultivation techniques are in the Mortal level. There even alot of low Mortal level techniques to train the body.

However, to train the soul is much difficult. Soul cultivation manuals or techniques are at least in the Ascension Realm of techniques," Ariel said.

"They are that difficult to find?" Aiden asked his mouth agape. Just like anything in this world, spells and techniques also had their rankings.

The name of the rankings was highly tailored to their cultivation counter part ( with the exception of the Mortal realm which wasn't named after the elementary realm.) They were the Mortal realm, Ascension realm, and finally the Saint realm. Each realm had 3 tiers: 1, 2, 3, and under each tier was 3 levels: low, mid and peak.

From what Aiden knew before Andras arrived, the strongest spell that was ever found in Phoenix City was only at tier 2 peak Mortal realm. It was only after Andras arrived that he was able to see a tier 3 peak Mortal spell —the strongest spell in the Mortal realm.

Even though Andras was defeated in the end, the strength of his spell was nothing to scoff at.

However, unlike spells, techniques were far more difficult to find. Techniques could be a method to do something. That was why techniques were sometimes called Methods. Also, there was techniques that were an entire congregation of spells. This meant that if one could learn such a technique, they would learn many spells at once, essentially forming their own art.

This was why techniques were so rare. If the manuals for Cultivating the soul was always at least in the Ascension Realm of techniques, then they were extraordinarily expensive to someone like him who had never seen an Ascension Realm technique or spell before.

Did you guys forget about the ranks of Techniques and spells. At first, I was like, let me use the same name as the cultivation realms.

But I changed my mind later and was like who cares anyway?

Remember to vote guys.
