Brawl

A few minutes before the start of the fifth match, you and your team went over the abilities of Team B.

"So Shinso is with them, right?" Mineta said. He points at his head with both hands. "I'm kind of nervous now. Don't wanna get brainwashed, y'know?"

"That'll only happen if you respond to whatever he says." You informed your teammate. "And let's not forget about the other members in the opposing team. Yanagi's Poltergeist Quirk, Kodai's Size Quirk, Shoda's Twin Impact, and let's not forget about Monoma's ability to copy other Quirks by touching someone. We won't be able to see them with a naked eye when they attack."

"True." Ochaco nodded. "When it comes to long-range attacks, they have the advantage, but we can make things... float!" Ochaco uses her Quirk on her helmet.

"Melt!" Mina shoots acid from her hands.

"And stick!" Mineta juggles a few of his pop-off balls.

The optimism only lasted for a brief moment. Uravity and Pinky instantly became depressed as they thought about the sad power difference between the two teams.

"Aww! Now I feel bummed..." Mina whined.

"Maybe there's a way of luring them out of knowing when they're going to strike." Ochaco sighed discouragingly. 

"I guess this calls for my super sticky grape field battle strategy!" Mineta declared. 

"They're not gonna fall for that!" You dismissed Grape Juice's idea which made him disappointed. "We just need to lure them out and subdue them."

"I can act as the bait!" Deku hops off one of the surrounding pipes and lands in front of his team.

"Are you sure, Midoriya?" Mina asked. "You said your Quirk was acting strangely..."

"Yeah..." Deku checked his body to make sure his Quirk wasn't acting up again. "There doesn't seem to be anything different, just the same as usual. But... after watching the fourth round, I feel like the opposing team is wary of us. We need to be even more vigilant than ever!"

"I'll help you get the opposing team's attention." You said. "They won't be able to ignore both of us, and it'll be more efficient if you and I lure Shinso and the others together."

"Thanks, Himawari." Izuku gave you a grateful smile.

"Plus, it'll give me the opportunity to punch that obnoxious a-hole Monoma in the face!" You smiled maliciously, chuckling like a villian at the thought of punching Monoma with a firey fist.

Your teammates sweat-dropped once they heard your true intentions and sensed your hostile aura.

"H-Himawari is a really good person, but even she has her bad parts..." Izuku laughs nervously. 

He, along with several others who know you well enough, know that you're capable of losing your temper like your boyfriend's if a certain someone said or did something that will rub you the wrong way. Unsurprisingly, Neito Monoma is part of the majority of "a certain someone".

"I'm starting to understand her and Bakugou's relationship the more I learn about Himawari." Ochaco said.

"I don't blame her for wanting to punch Monoma, though." Mina added. "And I bet she's not the only one who wants to take a strike at Monoma."

"No way..." Mineta gasped with his eyes widened. "Is Yagi... actually a sadist!? She's giving off some serious Midnight vibes!"

"Um, anyway... it'll be fine." Izuku states with determination. "We'll definitely win this."

Deku's encouragement immediately boosted Ochaco and Mina's moral.

​​​​"The fifth round will be the last round for today!"

Hearing your mom announce the start of the last match got you all fired up! This is the fifth and last match of the joint training session and you aren't planning on letting your teammates, your boyfriend, your parents, your teachers and Class 1-A down

"Are you ready!? Don't lose your footing! Do your best until the very end!! Start!"

Because of Shinso's Quirk, you and your team decided not to speak if you encountered any opponent. The plan is to figure out where all of them are, then use that information to your advantage. You can tell that Deku is still worried about One For All just by looking at him, but you know that you needed to focus on the match. First, you and Izuku need to make yourselves stand out as targets. You two will let Team B try attacking both of you to reveal exactly where each one of them is located. Then Ochaco and the others can team up and capture all of them. While you and your green-haired teammate were hopping and flying around the pipes of Ground Gamma, a stell barrel came flying towards you! Judging by how fast it was moving, this has to be the work of Yanagi's Poltergeist Quirk. Suddenly, you and Izuku heard Uravity's scream and you quickly looked back at the direction where your teammates are. 

Ochaco!? Did they attack while Izuku and I were looking for them!?

"Oh my, I suppose you found me!"

You turned your body back towards the owner of that voice. Monoma stood on one of the pipes from a good distance with that arrogant smile on his face. He has three pocket watches in his hand with his arms crossed. The mere sight and sound of him gave you an ulcer.

"After seeing what Bakugou is capable of... I would obviously be wary of you two as well." Monoma said. "When faced with opponents as strong and agile as the both of you, being careful... is what any clever human would do!"

Izuku kicked the levitating steel drum away before it could hit one of you. You and Deku both suspect that Monoma might be copying Shinso's brainwashing, so neither of you didn't dare answer to whatever Monoma says to agitate you.

"Let's take a step back though. A clever person would also think: "Those two over there are strong, so we'll just let them move ahead of us three." "They'll probably want to get rid of the three of us first!" You're trying to distract us so we'd tell you where we're hiding. I'm pretty sure my other comrades have already found the other three on your team. So it's now three against four? Will they even be okay? Shinso's there as well! They won't be able to communicate with each other closely. It seems like either one of you or both of you need to rush to their aid now! Oh, but wait...!? What if that scream just now was Shinso's voice? That means the other three haven't been found yet. That's what one of you were thinking, right...!? Hahaha, it sounds like you both are stuck, right?"

Neither you nor Deku responded to his words. Instead, you both rushed towards Monoma to capture him.

"Oh, what's this?" Monoma places the pocket watches back on his belt and brings out several small items with Yanagi's Quirk. He fired the items at you and your teammate after enlarging them with Kodai's Size Quirk. "Neither of you are going to help your comrades? How heartless!"

You and Izuku dodged the flying objects. You used your Aqua Slicer to take a few of the objects out of commission while Deku tries to hit a dodging Phantom Thief with Air Force. No matter what, you had to keep the enemy in your line of sight, you can't speak and you can't get caught!

"You know, I talked with Shinso about this. "Those who are blessed in this world fall the hardest." So, tell me this, Hikari Yagi. How can you smile so brightly when you're the main reason why the villians attacked us during the training camp? Now that I think about it... you are also the reason why your beloved Bakugou was kidnapped with you. Oh, and let's not forget the fact that you're the reason for the demise of the Symbol of Peace, your very own father who you love and admire so dearly! Is that supposed to be your own way of showing love? By putting your loved ones in the worst situations!?"

What Monoma said did bother you, but not as much as before. You know that it's your fault that your dad had to hang up his cape and retire, that it's your fault the person you love so much was taken. There's nobody on this earth that'll make you think otherwise. However, unfortunately for you and everyone else who's participating in the last match, Izuku did react... and it was something you've never seen before. Black energy ribbon-like tendrils shot out of his hand, damaging one of his gloves.

His right arm is acting up! What the heck is going on!?

"What's this? Another development?" Monoma said. "So unfair!"

"Izuku! What's going on!?" You asked your friend with concern. "What's wrong!?"

Izuku's face contorted in pain as he struggles to get his arm under control. He tried kicking his arm to get it to behave, but it was no use. The black tendrils kept moving rapidly. 

"Run away!!" Izuku screamed.

The black energy tendrils started to flail around wildly in different directions. You quickly flew to your friend and tried to hold the right arm down. Despite the several lashings you were getting, you didn't let go. The black energy tendrils then sent you and Izuku crashing into a hidden spot where Shinso was hiding. The crash made you let go of your teammate and injured your shoulder. To top it all off, you're pretty sure you have a minor head injury. A member of the opposing team is close to you, but that's the least of your problems. Your main concern is your childhood friend who has these weird black things shooting out of his right arm.

"I-Izuku!" You hissed in pain as you staggered to his feet.

"Hima...wari...!"

The black energy things sparked and buzzed, moving rapidly without any signs of stopping or slowing down. 

"Shin...so...! Run away...! I can't... control this power!!! It's overflowing...!!"

The black tendrils shot out again and you quickly moved yourself and Shinso out of the way. The whipping tendrils thrashed about so much that it almost hurt your friends and Team B. The black energy whips sent Deku flying across the ground Gamma battlefield. 

"Hey, Yagi, are you okay!?" Shinso asked you worriedly. He stared at the injuries you've obtained from trying to help your teammate. 

"Yeah... I'm okay...agh!" You winced when you tried to move your injured shoulder.

"But you have all those injuries all over you!"

Shinso's right. Your domino mask was torn in half, you had multiple lashings on your arms and upper body, your head's bleeding, you have bruises on your back, there's a huge bruise on your shoulder, and you were in a lot of pain. 

"I'm more worried about my friend than a few bruises." Without moving your busted arm, you got back on your feet. "Sorry, Shinso, but I think me and my team are going to need a time out."

Before Shinso could stop you, you chased after your troubled friend with your flames.

What the heck is going on with Izuku's arm? Is this some kind of new ability of One For All!? Why is it acting up like this!? And "now" of all times!?

As so many questions were running through your head, you saw Ochaco float towards Izuku and embraced him. The dark whip-like things smacked her helmet off her head, but she still held on. Then, she glanced at Shinso.

"Shinso!" Ochaco called out to the opposing team member. "Use your brainwashing to stop Deku!"

That's it! Maybe that new power will settle down if Deku gets brainwashed by Shinso. It'll be like he lost consciousness! 

Shinso heard what Uravity said and took off his artificial vocal cords. 

"Midoriyaaa!" Shinso shouted at Izuku. "Stop fooling around and fight me!"

You were worried that Deku wouldn't be able to respond to Shinso because of the pain his new ability was causing him, but luckily, Izuku answered his rival with a resounding "Okay!". His response caused him to be under Shinso's control, making the weird new power to disappear back inside his arm. You watched as Uravity literally slaps Deku out of his brainwashed state, floating him and herself down to solid footing. Seeing your two friends float down safely without that black thing made you breath a sigh of relief. As soon as your teammates landed on a stable surface, you flew to their side.

"Hey, are you guys okay?" You asked.

"Yep!" Ochaco gave you a smile and a thumbs up. "It's all under control, Himawari!"

You took a look at Ochaco and noticed that she also got hurt by the animated black energy. On the brightside, her injuries aren't as bad as your own.

"Oh my god!" Deku gasped in shock as soon as he noticed the injuries you received from him. "Himawari, those injuries... did I..."

"Oh, these? All of these are just flesh wounds! They don't even hurt!" You pointed to your bleeding head injury. "And this? I got distracted and crashed into several pipes. Then a couple pipes landed on me."

You tried to reasure Deku that you were alright, but the guilt didn't leave your green-haired friend. This new power of One For All awoken out of the blue and went crazy, hurting one of his childhood friends and his crush.

"It's not over yet!!" Monoma shouted as he flew towards Izuku on a giant metal nut.

Your teammate dodged before Monoma could touch a hair on his head.

"You couldn't wait five minutes?" You rhetorically asked Monoma. 

You and Ochaco charged to attack Monoma, but then the other three members of Team B showed up and used their Quirks to attack. You, Ochaco and Deku avoided the combined attack, allowing the tuxedo-wearing Monoma to retreat. 

"There they are!" Mineta called out, running towards you with Mina in front of him. Mina shoots acid at the enemy while Mineta threw his pop-off balls. "Take this!"

Team B blocked the two attacks.

"Midoriya! Yagi, Uraraka, everything okay?" Pinky called out.

"Yeah!" You answered her. "Thanks for the backup!"

"The gang's all here, now!" Ochaco said. "It's a brawl!!"

With every player on the battlefield, the fifth match between Class A and B continued. While Pinky and Grape Juice fought against the three members of Team B, Shinso attempted to use his binding cloth to capture Ochaco. Izuku caught it, but then Shinso yanked on the cloth, making your teammate fall off the surface he was standing on.

"Deku, what's wrong?!" Ochaco said. "Did you lose your power!?"

"I might expose everyone to danger again." Izuku answered. "In my current state, I can't use my Quirk."

"If that's the case, then let's retreat for the moment and regroup!" You suggested.

"If we retreat, we'll lose." Deku got back up on his feet as you and Ochaco jumped down to his level. He stares up at the General Studies student. "While we have Shinso right in front of our eyes, now is our chance to win!"

"Then let me and Ochaco handle Shinso! You can--"

"No!" Deku cut you off. "I'll be the one to fight Shinso."

You and Ochaco stared at your teammate in disbelief. If he's too scared to use his Quirk, how is he going to fight?

"Deku, are you telling us... that you're gonna fight Quirkless!?" Ochaco questioned. 

"...Yes. Uraraka, I have a favor to ask of you."

"Sure. What is it?"

"I want you to use your Zero Gravity on me! I'll plunge down towards Shinso."

Ochaco agreed to Izuku's plan and used her Quirk on her crush. Monoma then comes back into the fight and sends an enlarged screw your way.

"Aqua Slicer!" ​Using your arm without an injured shoulder, you immediately used one of your ultimate moves to slice the large object into four pieces. "Is that all you got, Phantom Thief!?"

"Why, of course not, Yagi!" Monoma retorts back. His body begins to glow the same way as Izuku's when he uses OFA. "I've copied Midoriya's power!!"

What!? Your emerald eyes widened in shock at Monoma"s statement. I thought Izuku was able to avoid Monoma's touch!

"Wait, Monoma!" ​Izuku tries to warn Monoma about the danger of using his power. "It's danger--"

"You're too late!"

"You... Idiooot!!" You yelled, punching the copycat jerk right in the face before he got a chance to use the copied ability. Seeing the thorn on you and your classmates' side fall on his face because of your strike filled you with so much satisfaction. ​​​"Hahaha! I've been dying to do that for ages! That punch was long overdue, but it was totally worth the wait!!"

"Um, Hikari..." Ochaco, who's currently pinning down the opposing team member, sweat-dropped along with Deku. "You're acting like Bakugou..."

Back with the rest of the teams that have already battled, Katsuki Bakugou watches you punch the copycat bastard in the face. He proudly smirked at you for the puch you gave the enemy. With that out of the way, you tossed Deku up in the air and as soon as he reached Shinso, Ochaco released him from her Quirk. While Deku fought Shinso and Uravity carried Monoma to Team A's prison, you went to help Mina and Mineta. As soon as you found a blind spot, you karate chopped Yanagi at the back of her neck, knocking her out. Then, you pushed Kodai into a support beam that had several of Mineta's pop-off balls on it. Seeing his teammates in trouble, Shoda turned his attention to you and Mina used this as an opportunity to uppercut him, knocking him out in the process. 

"Are you guys okay?" You asked your two teammates. 

"We're awesome now that you're here!" Mineta said. "Where's Midoriya and Uraraka?"

"Deku is dealing with Shinso and Uravity is taking Monoma to our base. Let's meet her there and win this!"

"Yeah!" Mina and Mineta cheered in unison.

After Deku took down Shinso, he arrived soon after and locked him up with Monoma, Shoda and Yanagi.

"Match 5 is over! There were some pretty close calls... but with a perfect 4-0... Class A wins!!"

You gave Mina, Ochaco and Izuku each a high five as soon as you heard Miss Midnight announce your Team's victory. 

"With Round 5 complete, this concludes all of the matches! All participants did an excellent job reading not only their opponents, but also themselves. Round 1: Class A, Round 2: Class B, Round 3: Draw, Round 4: Class A, Round 5: Class A, Final Result: Class A's victory!!!"

The rest of your classmates rejoiced so loudly that you could faintly hear them from your Team's base. You're pretty sure you heard your boyfriend setting off his explosions with triumph because of your win.

"Hikari Yagi, now that the fifth match is over, please go to Recovery Girl to have those injuries of yours taken care of."

You couldn't argue with your teacher because despite the incredible take down you and your team displayed, you're still hurting physically from head to toe thanks to your injuries. So, with a polite "yes, ma'am!", you allowed the UA bots to escort you to the Nurse's office.

Once Recovery Girl helped heal your injured body and you took a nap to regain the stamina you lost, you were able to return to your dorm in the evening. Before doing so, you went to Gamma Gym with your parents, Izuku and Katsuki to check if that strange power will come out again. 

"What the hell is with you? Use it!" Katsuki demanded Izuku as he aimed numerous attacks on Izuku. ​​​​​"Are you scared or somethin'!?"

"Wait, wait!!" Izuku exclaimed, dodging every one of his rival's attacks. The unlocked power known as "Black Whip" didn't even leak out. "I'm telling you, it just won't activate!!"

"Katsuki! Stop!" You reprimanded your boyfriend's aggressiveness. "That's not how you should approach this! Cut it out!!"

Katsuki stops attacking Izuku and stood in front of you.

"That new power's useless if it doesn't work when he's in trouble." Katsuki said.

"You have a point, but right now, we're making sure that it doesn't come out."

"How are you feeling, Young Midoriya?" All Might asked his successor. 

"Okay... I guess..." Izuku double checks his right arm for any signs of the new power. "I don't feel it's presence anymore."

While you were sleeping in the Nurse's office, your parents, Katsuki and Izuku had a discussion about this new power in the Teacher's lounge. According to Izuku, the Black Whip Quirk belonged to a bald guy, one of the previous wielders of One For All, and he told Izuku that the time has come. The user before your dad's master was said to be a young man with black hair. It's the first time your father heard something like this. Even his master didn't know about it. Katsuki and your mom have a theory that it has something to do with All For One. The power originally came from him in the first place, someone who's able to possess multiple Quirks. In other words, it's basically the same as him.

"You're just not feeling the danger." Katsuki argued. "If I really beat you down, it'll come back. The only thing to do is kick the crap outta you and force the energy to go wild again."

"Katsuki, please don't try to murder our friend." You said.

"It's his own damn fault for unlocking that new power and getting you injured in the first place! I don't fucking care if it was an accident!"

Oh. So that's the reason why he's being so aggressive right now. On one hand it's sweet that he's mad that I got hurt, but on the other hand... he's trying to kill our classmate.

"I'm really sorry, Himawari...." Izuku guiltily said with his head hung down.

"It's okay, Izuku!" You reassured your friend. "You didn't do it on purpose! Plus, all of my wounds healed!"

"Sunshine, why don't you and Katsuki return to your dorm." Your mother spoke. "You both are done here."

You listened to your mom and dragged your boyfriend out of the gym.

All For One and One For All... the abilities that allows you to use more than one Quirk... now that I think more about it, they do seem similar in one way or another...
