The End and Beginning of a Stone Spirit

A man can be seen standing on a cliff, intensely staring down at a raging river, water whiter than snow. He seemingly reaches out for something in the air. When he pulls his hand back, he is holding a palm sized glowing black stone. The stone gives off a chilling aura, not cold when touched but people's souls shiver when they look at it. The man slowly brings the stone up to his face. The stone lights up his head and a middle age face can be seen. Yet his eyes look like those from an old man on his last breath, weary and desolate. He whispers softly, "My descendant, you are the last of us. I place all of my burdens on you, but I will also give you a chance to be something greater." He then raises his other hand to his chest and pulls out a sphere of light. "This is all of our knowledge that our clan has collected over trillions of years. When you awaken, this will give you paths to follow. Which path you choose is the only freedom I can give you". The mans face slowing turns black, cracks appearing all over. A sad smile can be seen on his face as he looks at the black stone. He then gently tosses the stone down towards the white river, letting out a long deep sigh. A great rush of wind came, as if called by this mans sigh. He calmly looks at this gust, and the wind rushes through him. The man turns into dust, as the wind carries his remains up towards the heavens.
