They are missing

The female giant dragged them through a long corridor. The inside of the palace was quite plain compared to the decorations outside. The walls were made of the same grey stones as the other structures at the settlement, the only difference was that they had some mystical runes engraved on them.

After taking a few turns and passing through some gaurds they finally arrived infront of a huge door. The whole door was made of metal and these too had those runes. The female giant touched some of the runes passing magic through them and the runes immediately lit up covering the whole door in white light.

Then the locks at the two ends of the door turned a few times and the door finally opened upon which a cold wind greeted their faces. They entered the room, it was huge hall around 40 feet wide and 30 feet tall. The room was lit up by small deep blue flame balls hovering in the air.

The female giant dragged them through the hall till they reached the centre of room. The room was filled with around twenty ice giants, ten of each on both the sides of the hall. There was no way to distinguish their ages as all of them looked like they were in their late 20s. They had the same silver eyes as all the other folks of settlement and they wore long robes that the elders of their village wore just that it was black in colour. And infront of them a young Ice giant was sitting on the throne. He appeared to be quite youthful compared to the other giants. And unlike the other male giants he had a slim figure with chiseled muscles on all the right parts. And he shared the same blue eyes as the female giant.

The female giant kneeled before the man sitting on the throne. The giant pulled the chains and made the human boys fall on their knees.

I greet the lord of the Black star sect. The lord waved his hands and the female giant continued my lord today I present before you these four human males who have committed the crime of infiltrating our lands and stealing our sacred frost flowers. I request justice and for the highest order of punishment on these filthy humans! There was a huge uproar in room and everyone was quite angry hearing this and some nodded in agreement with the female giant.

The man on the throne turned his gaze on the prisoners upon which Johan and his friends couldn't stop shivering. They could tell by instinct that the man infront of them was crazy strong. And that he was the one in charge here and that their fate was in his hands.

Meanwhile, in the human village. A group people were going towards the centre of the village where the mage tower was present. In this crowd Johan's parents were present too.

The person leading this group was man in his late 40s. He was none other than the village chief and Lukas's father. Go and inform the elders that the village chief is here. We have an urgent matter to discuss said the village chief to the gaurd.

William what did you find about the kids asked Ned. The gatekeepers said a shepherd boy saw them going towards the river said William. Why would they go there knowing full well that going there is forbidden asked Mary.

I think I know the answer, they went to the forests of Nilfheim said William. We all know that the forest is rich in magi.. before he could say more he was cut short.

No it makes perfect sense, they must have gone there searching for the spirits. Tonight it would be two years since Johan and Lukas's coming od age. And we all know that they don't have an affinity for magic so they must have gone there to form contract with the snow spirits said Ned.

Yes and that's why we need the elder's help to bring them back before it's too late said William.

Just then the gaurd came out running and said the crowd outside the elders are not inside! They are missing!
