After completing the final round of the top eight, the Azure Dragon Academy had 4 representatives to participate in the Nine Dragons Tournament which was Gan Lu, the top of the academy, Jiu Xin who ranked third, Zi Jiang who ranked fourth, and the last one, Xueming who ranked twenty-eighth of the academy, leaving only one empty position. The selection would be a dual matching as well as finding the first best contestant.
The result was as expected, the contestant who became the last representative of the Azure Dragon Academy was Zhong Liang who ranked second in the academy.
After the academy had its 5 representatives, however, the tournament of finding the best contestant had not yet been completed. Therefore, the dual matching continued. In this round, it was a fight between Gan Lu and Zi Jiang. As expected, Zi Jiang fought Gan Lu ceremoniously. When he saw the difference between his skill and Gan Lu’s, he chose to step down from the stage and yielded.
