Recovery

Within the firmament, there was a field about a hundred square meters filled with lush vegetation. A brook of clear water divided the field into two. At its banks, flowers of different colours and nature grew bringing the beauty of the field a notch higher. The scent of the ambiance was nourishing to the body and visitors of this field would always want to come back. At the moment, this paradise was filled with a few Saints who were all dressed in white.

Akinyi Nyalando, General Guardian and other Saints were standing in a circle on the other side of the field with their heads lowered in reverence. One middle-aged man and another old one were seated on chairs that resembled thrones at the center of the circle. They were also dressed in white and their eyes were closed.

All of a sudden, an old man with a young man and woman materialized making the two men open their eyes as bright smiles appeared on their faces.

"Now that they are here, I an going to gp straight to the treatment." The old man said.

"Ochieng', the One from above you know of is our sister. We can never appear on Keniya and that is why we had someone bring you here to the firmament. We hope to help you recover quickly so that you can go and help us achieve victory, I hope it is not too much." The Heir of Seasons said looking at Ochieng' respectfully. The reason why he was so respectful was known to himself.

"Do not be worried my gods. I had already taken this path, I can only stop once we defeat the Black Fiends." Ochieng' smiled.

He was not surprised to know that the One from above was a woman and that she had brothers since he had inherited the memories of Inscrutable Horse who happened to be a god himself. After the second awakening of the god's power, he had a better understanding of the heavens. He even came to know that above the seven siblings, were more powerful gods who lived in higher dimensions.

Knowing that a minute wasted meant more time given to the Lord of darkness to get stronger, the two gods helped Ochieng' heal and completely awakened Apeleka's ability. Not too long later, the fully recovered Ochieng' and Apeleka were sent back to the tent at the center of the camp in the deserts of the Northern areas.

The people within the the tent were more than excited when they saw Ochieng'. Most of them had been worried about this Ordainer of them. They were not ready to see Ochieng' leave their side even for a minute.

"Apart from their head, I want all the chosen wizards and witches you people told me about remain here to look after the camp alongside my wife, Jakony and Labosa. As for their heads, Okeyo, Mboya and Mwiga, I want you to accompany me to where the warriors are training. I want us to prepare for a battle in the dark world..." Looking at them, Ochieng' gave orders. He was inevitably their leader and for what was ahead of them, they could only trust and obey him unconditionally even though they were all older than him apart from Apeleka.

"Ochieng', I am not going to be far from you again. Wherever you go, even if it is marching to your death, I will follow...do not even try to convince me otherwise because I have made up my mind." Apeleka interrupted Ochieng', he tried to persuade her to stay but she could not just change her mind. He only shook his head bitterly before agreeing.

Just like that, Apeleka would also go to the training camp to prepare for war. Since Jakony could never be separated from her, it would also go. Labosa was also Apeleka's companion, she could not be left behind.

Since it was already dark, the eight decided to leave for the camp the next day. They had to have a good rest before as well for that would never happen until the war was over.

...

"You have no idea how much I have missed you Ochieng', I really needed you."

Inside a small tent in the desert of the Northern areas, Apeleka who sat across Ochieng' on a buffalo hide said as she looked at the young man affectionately.

"I missed you too. I always saw you wherever I..." Ochieng' could not finish whatever he wanted to say for the girl's forefinger was already pressed on his lips.

"Shhh, say no more, I just want you inside me." She whispered.

Bringing their heads closer, they kissed lightly before standing on their knees and continuing fervently. Their hands were caressing each other's back lovingly. Their breathing became heavier and louder. Soon, their garments were flying in the air, leaving their crimsoned bodies bare. Minutes later, mourns of pleasure filled the entire tent as pumping sounds escaped even beyond it. Positions were changed and for a long time no one wanted to stop. An hour passed, and they were still at it, thirty minutes past one hour, positions were still being changed. It was as if all the desires of the past two months and a few weeks were being exhausted at once. Only after a few minutes before two hours elapsed did they stop.

Lying beside each other, they talked as their eyes gleamed with satisfaction. Time passed without them knowing it. Outside was quiet for everybody else was dead asleep. This was a desert which was initially not inhabited. Not even the sounds of animals could be heard, maybe the sound of the winds, as they went past the walls of the tents.

When it dawned the next day, Ochieng', Apeleka and the other six left for the training camp. They went on Ratong's back because they felt better doing it that way. With its speed, a few minutes passed before they arrived at the camp. There, it was as if their coming was anticipated. They were welcomed happily by the warriors who had long woken up to prepare for their coming.
