The Vile Purple's Onslaught (2)

"Pyo Yong..."

Despite being over fifty meters away from his lifeless body, I could still see it clear as day.

It was clear that the Vile Purple clan had attacked both me and the cult at the same time. And if Pyo Yong was dead, then I was already too late.

Wait, Pyo Kang may still be alive, if he is not all is lost yet!

As I darted through the demolished headquarters of the cult, I only saw more and more bodies who died to poison and combat wounds. But there were a few bodies that I noticed were missing. The main ones being the thirteen executives I was training alongside Pyo Kang's body.

Klang!

Soon the sounds of a clash echoed from the cult leader building, that was definitely where the other survivors were.

Within seconds I arrived at the cult leader building and looked inside for any signs of fighting. Only to find a one-armed Pyo Kang fighting against three masked men in purple robes.

Behind him were the thirteen executives I had been training, with Bae Suk, Baek Il, and Mun Hee standing in front of the other ten. If this went on, everyone I had put so much effort into growing stronger would die.

In the blink of an eye, I pulled out the dragon horn blade from its scabbard and beheaded two of the three purple robed men. The third man eluded my blade however, as he had stepped in front of Pyo Kang before I attacked.

The man in purple robes quickly noticed his lack of comrades and leapt back out of mine and Pyo Kang's reach.

"Who dares interrupt this subjugation?! I will have your head for messing with the Vile Purple clan!"

Subjugation? This bastard dares to act like a member of the Orthodox alliance while murdering thousands of people?

"Subjugation? You murder my subordinates and dare to act like the Orthodox while doing so? I will take your head for this!"

"That's rich coming from the leader of an Unorthodox cult! As one of the Twelve Heads of Orthodox I will bring you down!"

This bastard dares to call himself one of the Twelve Heads of Orthodox? He must be crazier than even the Lunatic Swords-

Wait a minute, this might be the same situation as with the Namgung clan not being Orthodox anymore... Let's put that to the test.

"If you're one of the Twelve Heads of Orthodox, then surely you will recognize a member of the Mount Song Sect, right?"

"I would recognize the Mount Song Sect's disciples or martial arts anywhere, you do not possess the Golden Core that represents your sect, you are no member of the Mount Song Sect."

I subtle smirk creeped across my face as his words left his mouth, I would prove him wrong. Now that I had internal energy, the Golden Dragon Slash would manifest the golden dragon the technique creates with its movements.

I kicked up the sword of the deceased Vile Purple clan member and readied the Golden Dragon Slash stance. "You were quite wrong!" I yelled as I began performing the Golden Dragon Slash with the man as my target.

In a matter of seconds, the forty-two slashes and stabs of the Golden Dragon Slash were performed, creating the silhouette of a golden dragon slashing through the space before it.

The man's eyes instantly widened as he wasn't expecting to see the Golden Dragon Slash come from an unknown martial artist who led a cult.

But in an instant the man countered my movements and knocked me back to where Pyo Kang was resting.

"How do you know the martial arts of Mount Song!"

"I'm not a formal member of the Mount Song Sect, but if you halt your attack for ten minutes, I will explain to you what you need to know."

The man paused, clearly unsure as to what he should do. If he continued attacking and I turned out to be a member of Mount Song, his entire clan might get uprooted. But if he stopped and I turned out to be someone who stole from Mount Song, he would be letting a criminal get away.

I kept myself at the ready, I didn't know this man's thought process so I couldn't predict what he might do. However, it seems like that wasn't necessary, as the man slid his sword back into its sheath after a few minutes of thinking.

"You have ten minutes, explain everything."

So, he decided to listen to what I had to say, good. I'll try to make this quick for him then.

"Bae Suk! Take the executives and leave the building, what is going to be said next isn't for your ears."

As soon as I felt Bae Suk and the other executives leave the area, I turned back to the man and began explaining everything, from my transmigration into this different timeline all the way to my fights with the Namgung clan.

With every detail of my story that I spoke of, the man's eyes changed, confusion, bewilderment, disbelief and many other emotions being clearly expressed in his eyes.

Even Pyo Kang and Pyo Yong found this story hard to believe, despite having gotten to know me quite well over the year and a half of training. So, this man was going to have a hard time believing my story to be true.

"That... How... Please, can you explain a part of that story once more?" The man stammered out.

"Which part?"

"The part before you... transmigritated? Transmigrated? You know, the part about some pure white space."

"The Other Side?"

"Yes, that. What is that?"

"It's essentially the place powerful martial artists go to once they've grown too powerful for the universe to contain them. Think of it like the afterlife for martial artists except you don't physically die."

The man placed his hands over his face and groaned. Whatever thoughts were running around in his head must have been giving him a headache.

However, it seems predicting things today wasn't my forte, as the man bowed toward me a moment later.

"As the leader of the Violet Dawn clan, I apologize for attacking your cult. We had received word from a trusted source that Namgung clan members were seen entering and leaving this location, so we thought this might be one of their secret bases."
