Real Massacre

"AH"

Yuto woke up after experiencing that rather strange dream of Corvin and Bently travelling and then murdering one another as the shadow corruption took over, this was a very traumatising nightmare as he didn't know if it was reality or all illusions

'What is that noise?'

A slowly approaching noise hits Yuto's eardrums, the most unpleasant and disturbing one yet, the sound of the emergency alarm, this alarm is only the worst-case scenario and it sure seems that something might have happened, Yuto instantly jumps towards his window and looks towards the gate of the camp, seeing two soldiers and a young man aiming at a smashed window in the admission room,

'NO-no-no this can't be true, there's no way this happening to me right now, why me? why is it so similar?'

The end of Yuto's dream and the real-life events that are unfolding right now match up perfectly in sync, Yuto thinks about telling everyone else who is most likely distressed and clueless about the current situation which Yuto thinks he knows about

'Shadow corruption on two people, they broke the window and are most likely going to get the other three uncorrupted men, this could escalate so far that this entire camp could be wiped within one night or even within the next hour, So the two options I have is to get the director and quickly explain the situation, either climb the walls and escape the camp or hide in the library until the day hits'

Yuto quickly managed to come up with multiple ideas on how to handle the current state of chaos which is about to ensue in the world as he knows it, he ran out of his room instantly into the hallway of the apartment complex seeing Kenzo and the other kids standing there in confusion of what is happening around the camp, Yuto stands beside them and begins to explain

"DIRECTOR, KENZO AND YOU ALL, PLEASE LISTEN"

"Calm down Yuto, it's probably just a mistake or a little minor rebellion"

"I had a dream director, it felt super vivid and very similar to our world, It was a young man named Bently and an old man named Corvin, I was on Corvin's hand somehow and he was corrupted by shadows throughout the story, he had a hoarse voice and said some very disturbing stuff"

"Yuto your assumption is based on a dream, hurry up and explain where this comes in"

The director is a bit impatient with the situation currently and just wants a summary

"They arrive at camp Sulga, I think that's our camp maybe, they go through the admission process and Corvin turns into a shadow, he slaughters a soldier and tears him to shreds while being shot, the shadow he made then attacks another soldier, a grunt was ordered to ring the alarm while the other two escape with Bently outside the window which the two shadows smashed through recently until I woke up, COME TO THE WINDOW"

The director and Yuto both rush to the window and take a look outside seeing that indeed the admission window was smashed and that there were currently two shadows attacking soldiers in the street, this is all the proof needed for the director to ensure that this is a shadow corruption breach into the city, the director has already planned for such occasion and discusses the plan with all the children of the orphanage

"All right so listen up, I will assess the situation outside the apartment and come back here, you will all stay beside this door and not run off and make sure to stay quiet, it's like a game of hide and seek"

All the small children nod while Kenzo and Yuto go towards his room to look out the window, they take their eyes out and see tons of military being killed outside until a convoy explodes causes the window to shatter and hitting Kenzo's face and him fall onto the ground in pain and agony

"Kenzo, relax it's not that bad trust me"

Yuto ran to get bandages and started covering Kenzo's damaged face, Stumbling every so often has a rumbling presence started going over throughout the camp, in mere moments there were intersections filled with people and fun activities all around, yet now all that remained from the last 5 minutes is an overbearing amount of slaughtered civilians laying on the road and seen through windows to be dead and slowly growing dark limbs onto their body

"Where is the director? It's been a couple of minutes..."

Kenzo's unrest grew larger as he was worried about the constant slaughtering he had seen and what fate the director could've face already, these shadows were too strong, making buildings rumble and collapse and set fires by destroying the local oil and gas reserves

*thud*

the door bursts open as the director runs in and locks it before hearing tons of scratching sounds behind the door as if a monster is trying to get in, most of the buildings of the camp have been already levelled to the ground and the number of shadows due to corruption is tenfold of that human population of the whole camp is, the military was successful in taking down some advances but was eventually running out of supplies and overran at the HQ, the last thing the civilians saw before their impending death arrived was the government fleeing on a helicopter, abandoning all their people as sacrificial pawns.

"Those bastards left us"

This was the first time the director has been seen cursing at any human being, but rightfully so he was allowed to be mad at the people who are leaving him and the orphanage to die, the director has only one choice to save everyone

"open the library now, this is an exception which I won't punish you for at all, since the outside from what you can hear is trying to get in and trying to kill us isn't save, we can only go downwards since the government went upwards" 

Kenzo and Yuto get the plank out of the floor to reach the switch of the stairs which descend into the library, they manage to flip the switch despite the darkness of the night and the rumbling of the building around them, the door about to lose its durability from the constant attacks from the outside is the only thing which is protecting them.
