The morning sun failed to shed light to the path Jack was in, leaving his headlights to its own as the car drove past the thickets.
Jack drove his Dodge to the outskirts of town, where the mine was located. It was a dilapidated structure, surrounded by a rusty fence and a sign that read "No Trespassing". Jack ignored the warning and climbed over the fence, making his way towards the entrance of the mine.
He was greeted by a gruff voice that shouted "Hey, you! What are you doing here?"
Jack turned and saw a man standing behind him, holding a shotgun. He was wearing a dirty overalls and a hard hat, and had a scruffy beard and a missing tooth. He looked like he worked at the mine, or at least used to.
"Whoa, easy there," Jack said, raising his hands in surrender. "I'm not here to cause any trouble. I'm just looking for some information."
"Information?" the man repeated sceptically. "What kind of information?"
