Chapter 20 Accident in War

As the brotherhood of wolves and assassins run into battle Creed looks to his right and sees the celestial ancestor assassin's again. One of the spirits looked at him and nods and points up, Creed looks up " ah crap! ARROWS!"  He yelled backed just as a barrage of arrows slices through the air. Most of the wolves moved just in the nick of time, barley missing a hundred or so wolves. As Creed grabs his throwing knives his cloak activates, his eyes turn, ears turn and he feels unstoppable" Woah! Haha, I can get used to this!" He said. He throws two knives they went through two of the archers, a few seconds later a loud rumble roared across the ground Creed looks back and sees the war trolls speeding in on war warthogs. The notice another celestial spirit coming out of the ground " what is that... ?" As the next set of spirits rises out of the ground " Elphia, Midnight it's your ancestors!" Yelled Saku. As they watch 300 wolf ancestor packs rise they all hear a loud roaring howl, the ground begins to shake even more maybe we will get through this today Creed thought. Another war horn sounded another 800 of the king's army came running over the hills. This time shots of black smoke fill the air as the soldiers stop. "They have guns!" Fang said in fear.

" COVER! " Creed yelled, the wolves and assassins slide into cover barley missing another barrage of arrows mixed with bullets. He hears yelping a little ways off, his head snaps to the sound of the Yelp and sees about 20 wolves go down " damn!" He said Saku and Fang take cover next to Creed " what are we going to do? They have guns and clearly have more guys than us! We are going to get destroyed here, we need to just leave or retreat!" Cried, Fang. Creed looked at him " No! We will not leave if we leave...." Ricochet of bullets " they will see us as cowards. We are not cowards, we are assassins and wolves in unity! We will fight!" Fang grunts about the time he turns around to move away Midnight and Elphia stepped up, looked at Creed " for some reason we feel the power running through our veins. You might want to cover your ears!"  They both put one front paw down then a hind paw, Creed watched as they drew in a breath and let out a thunderous howl. Creed looked up and saw 200 celestial wolves alongside them howling at the same time. The howl rang across the field knocking down a large number of soldiers. Holy crap Creed thought, " ok everyone else let's go!" He yelled and Saku, Fang, and he jumped over the rocks they were behind. Saku's eyes instantly turned bright ice blue while his arm with the tattoo turned into the solid ice hammer. " Creed your ancestors' blade NOW!" Midnight yelled, he flicked his wrist upward to see the shadow realm alongside the blade taking out about 50 to 100 men at once. Fang watching as one right after the other fell. "Fang help me get the archers!" Saku encouraged running towards the archers. " Ready! Aim!FIRE! the commander yelled another barrage of arrows slices through the air. This time the arrows didn't miss there mark 50 or more wolves fell victim to the arrows. Creed heard something being loaded and focused on the sound and noticed a ball of fire, " FIRE!" the commander yelled again he saw the ball of fire slung. " Midnight, Elphia! Watch out!" The alpha wolves looked up to see the fire hurling towards them, with a flash they howled the others wolves howled back and moved barely missing the ball of fire. Creed looked towards the commander I have to take him out if we are to win this he thought as more arrows came slicing through the air, he was getting ready to move into a thick thicket when he heard a word he never wanted to hear " ah!" His head snaps back to the sound and sees Fang go down with two arrows lodged one in his chest barley missing his heart and the other in his abdomen. Creed rushes over to Fang and looks over his wounds "we have to patch this up!" He said, but before he could get started Fang grabbed his arm " no you listen to me Creed! You have to stop that maniac before he does something dumb. If it's a war they want master Creed then give him one that he will never forget." Creed looks up at the chief commander and saw the small group of soldiers he has around him. Midnight, Elphia and Saku looked at him " oh crap!" They said in unison. He stands and with his ancestor blade humming takes one step after another, arrows raining down and with one swift swing, his sword rings throughout the battlefield. His sword humming with the wolf head illuminating the ground around him, one soldier runs up he ducks and with a quick swing forward the soldier fell. Two more soldiers ran up guns aimed at his head one.two. three he counts in his head guns loaded and fired he spins out of the way, having hold of the sword backward he slams the sword around slicing one soldier across the back while one of his blades stabs the other in the neck. One by one, two by two they fell victim to creeds uncharted strength, in the meantime Saku looks on " come on guys what are we standing around for! Let's get out there and help him now!" He then sees why Creed is so powerful right now no way that's not possible he thought as he sees 15 assassin ancestors joining his sword and blade with every swing, every stab, every duck. Creed lets out an ear-shattering battle cry, looks back at the crew and they all push forward Creed gets to the strong point where the chief commander and his set of goons as Creed put it. He walks up to one and the soldier said: " Stop or I'll shoot!" He laughs the soldier shot *cling*  the bullet ricochet off his ancestor gauntlet, as he throws a knife the soldier goes down. Another soldier runs at him Creed ducks and spins throwing two knives and stabbing the other in the back of the throat, in one quick motion retracting his blade and pulling out his sword and cutting through the commander's stomach while his ancestors' blade goes through his neck. " Now the king will know you do not mess with my family!"
