The questions

Chapter Fourteen.

Harley

Oh my god.

Is this even real?

Is this man even real?

We walk out of the store and I follow him like a lost puppy. I know what this thing between us is going to be. He is going to have control over everything and I am going to let him. I might be acting like a fool for him but it feels so fucking good. I don't think about the consequences of our actions. I don't care that this might really just be sex for him and it isn't for me.

I like him.

I know that I don't really know him but I like the things I see. I like that he makes me smile, I like that I make him laugh. I like that he wants to please me and I want to please him. I like that he looks at me and it feels like he can see my soul. I like all those things even though they might not be important things.

He doesn't trust me.

This is nothing but sex to him, to the point where he wouldn't even tell me his name. that should be the deal-breaker.

A name is not a big deal but he has made it one. Strangers that are going to fuck. That should make me run for the hills but the more I see him, the more I want.

"Food first and then we go to my house,'' he tells me as we enter his car.

I nod because I am actually hungry and I want all the energy I can get for tonight.

We get to Mcflurries fast food and he goes straight to the drive-through. I remain quiet because there are different thoughts roaming my mind and the only fix, I can get it from him.

He orders food for me and somehow, it is exactly what I want. Once he has paid for our order, he starts the car again.

"It's going to talk us about an hour to get to my house."

From his words, I know that we are leaving town. I am going to be in so much trouble tomorrow but that is tomorrow's problem. I don't want to think, worry, or bother about anything but now.

"Okay.''

We eat in the car as he drives and our conversation is nothing personal. He talks to me but doesn't really say a lot. I know there is more to this man but he isn't going to show me and I don't want to push him because I want to enjoy the time I get to spend with him. Whatever this is, happened so quickly and I don't want to think about it.

I reach for the radio and slowly, I tune the station and he glances at me. I blush as he watches me. A slow smile sprawls on his face.

I don't know how long I stay awake but when I open my eyes. we are not in the car anymore. I jump up and look around. I am in a room. A very big room.

I sit up on the bed and pull the covers over my body. I am still in the same dress he put on me at the store. The room is dark, there is a balcony and the door is slightly open, so the curtains sway as wind enters the room.

It is cold.

So cold.

I stand up from the bed and look around.

He is not here.

How did I fall asleep so fast that I didn't even notice we had arrived. I walk the door of the room. Once I open the door and light enters the room. I tremble as I walk out to the hallway. I keep walking in search of him.

Everywhere is quiet, where the hell are we? This man must be richer than I thought because this place is amazing. The walls are beige, with gold encrusting. There are little lights overhead as I walk. The air is different.

I hear murmurs and stop in my track.

"You brought her here?" I hear a voice that is not recognizable.

"This is my home.''

This time, I hear his voice. the man I trust even though I know I shouldn't. there is a big part of me that knows this is all too good to be true. I don't expect him to be the love of my life. I don't expect him to sweep me off my feet. So I know that I have to expect the worst.

"You don't bring people here,'' the other man scolds him.

"It doesn't make any difference. After tonight, she will be out of my system."

I wince because he sounds so cold. I know he is talking about me and he has been upfront about what he wants but it still hurts to hear him say that.

The door opens before I can go back to the room and escape the humiliation of being caught eavesdropping.

"You're awake,'' he smiles at me.

I look at him and his hair is hung neatly on his head. He is in different clothes from earlier. I never thought the man in front of me could look casual but he does right now—casual and comfortable.

He looks perfect even now.

His eyes are bright, shining, and enchanting.

"Yeah, I was looking for you.''

I look over his shoulders and the man is the same one from the café. I recognize him immediately.

There is a frown on his face.

He doesn't look too happy to see me.

I don't know why because he doesn't even know me but one thing that I am sure of, is that he doesn't want me with his friend—or brother. I don't even know.

"I will see you later.''

The man tells him and pushes past me.

Yeah, he doesn't like me.

"Your friend seems to hate me,'' I mutter once he is gone.

He scoffs "He is not my friend,'' he moves closer to me and I watch him as he grabs my hands and pulls me even closer.

"How do you still smell so good,'' I blurt out as he leans forward and kisses the crook of my neck. His touch is electric. There is a burning sensation inside me.

"I had a shower,'' he smiles into my neck.

"Is this your house?''

He nods "Yup.''

"Your friend doesn't seem to think bringing me here was a bad idea,'' I add.

He ignores me and I feel his tongue slide through my neck. He is kissing me; I should focus on that but I can't.

"Are you married?''

He stiffens from my words and pulls back slightly "Why so many questions?''

I shrug.

I am still in his arms but I need to know before we continue.

"I just want to know.''

He sighs "Does it matter if I am married. This is just sex.'' He seems frustrated but I won't have sex with him if he is a married man. I won't do that to myself.

"Just answer the question.''

"It doesn't matter Harley. I want you and you want me. that is all that matters."

I take a deep breath because everything sinks in. I followed this stranger to god knows where and I don't even know his fucking name. This all seemed fun while it was happening but a big part of me knows that there are going to be consequences for my actions.

It seems like I am screwed either way.
