Truly Infinite

Fate still kept a terrified expression on her face as she stared into Akio's soul. Akio himself was also weary as he waited a full minute before he got tired of the silence and spoke up.

"Who are you?"

This was enough to bring Fate back out of her shock as she stammered out. "Ahh, right I'm Fate. I was sent by Ava-sama to help you 'get stronger.'" Fate with a respectful tone she probably had never used with anyone besides Ava herself spoke quickly.

"Oh, I see. So you're the surprise she was talking about." Akio put on a thought-filled expression as he turned his attention back to Fate.

"Let's talk." With those words, Akio brought the girl into his 'house' as he made tea and got ready to talk about how she would help him get stronger.

.

.

.

The first thing Akio did was try to calm Fate down by asking her questions about herself. Eventually, she gained enough courage to also asked questions back.

Now that she had considerably calmed down Akio asked about the initial question he had.

"Ah right, well all Goddess Ava told me was to make you stronger, and seems how you already have a small bit of mastery over fate I will try to teach that." She had a thoughtful expression on her face as she spoke.

"Is fate something you can even teach?" Akio was skeptical.

"In the beginning stages yes, although it will have to be more visual." With those words, any fear that still clouded her mind was lost as she pulled out a piece of paper and pen from somewhere.

"Let's start now." Fate began to draw on the paper.

"Imagine this is a person's complete life." Fate drew a straight line and marked the beginning 'birth' and the end 'death'.

"Of course, this is extremely simplified and completely takes out the process of reincarnation."

"A person's fate is established at the moment of their birth. Every person who is bound by fate usually follows this line until their death although there are exceptions." Fate explained the best she could just using that one line.

"When a person in any way changes that fate they start to get a small amount of control over it, although it will really be a very small amount."

Fate started to draw again another line. This time however a small slash was made at a point in the line that changed its direction. The line then continues in that new direction.

"Changing even one part of a person's fate will change the entirety of it, it can even be as small as leading someone left when they otherwise would've gone right." Fate finished and then looked up to see if Akio had any questions.

"If I was to change someone's life in any way wouldn't that just be a part of their fate?" Akio spoke with curiosity.

"Usually you would be right, however, you are an irregular in the first place." Fate's words made Akio remember a certain silver-haired puppet.

"Fate usually works by the world you are born in, so when you escape your world and go to a foreign one your actions in turn become foreign. This combined with Ava-sama's blessing makes it possible for you to master the concept of fate. Still, even if you are temporarily outside of fate it is possible for a person that has a high enough mastery over it to bind you to one or just see into your future."

Fate finished answering Akio's question before crumbling the paper and standing up. "Let's go out in public it would be good to get some hands-on experience."

"Ah, wait let me tell my wives I'll be gone for a bit." With those words, Akio suddenly disappeared from the room.

'Wives? Hmm, if that's the case then maybe....' A scheming smile made its way to Fate's face as she slowly began to form a plan.

.

.

.

"Let's look at that child right there." Fate spoke as she stood side by side with Akio on the corner of a popular street. The two were currently using a barrier that would make it seem like they had no presence.

"That kid will die at the age of 14 because he stumbled upon a supernatural being." Fate spoke as she then began using her power.

"Watch closely." Fate for a few seconds glowed with a purple aura while focusing on the kid.

Akio focused his hardest on the kid trying to see what she was doing. That was when he was able to see it. A very blurry vision of a terrified kid who was trying to escape from a woman. The woman then stabbed the kid straight through the heart and his eyes turned lifeless.

Just as soon as the vision ended it played again but this time with a different scene. In this scene, the kid didn't go to the woods where he met his demise and instead went to his friend's house.

That was when it all ended and Akio's vision returned to normal.

"Did you see it?" Fate asked the dazed Akio.

"Yes, you made changed what he did that day and in turn saved him."

"Exactly, although the process of actually changing someone's fate is a little tricky, hmm, how about that woman right there. She will trip on her son's toys when she returns home and injure her ankle. Try to change it."

With Fate's words, Akio went about trying to change the fate of the woman. He focused just as he did before and was able to find the point where she trips on the toys. When he watched the vision he focused his intent and willed for her to instead of stepping on it to pick it up.

After that, the scene played again with his revision done and made.

"Great, pretty easy right? Well, it will get harder the more extreme things you try to change."

.

.

.

Akio spent around 2 hours changing the fate of various people with the help of Fate. He got to the point of being able to find the root of what made someone choose a path of crime and change it to something that did the opposite.

Fate, being a master of her concept could make someone with a 1/10,000 chance to die from cancer always have a 100% chance of survival. Akio was still nowhere near that but his mastery did reach 20%.

After they were done Akio took her to Arcadio where she was introduced to all his companions and wives. Then they had lunch where Fate for some strange reason was clearly trying to get in the good graces of Akio's lovers.

When lunch was over Akio went into the dimensional gap with Ophis Akane Fate and his wives as he prepared for his usual sparring.

.

.

.

*Crack*

Akio was breathing heavily as for the umpteenth time today he was blasted away with his bones cracking.

'How the hell is she using so much power with that body... wait.'

With that thought, Akio came to a realization. He was focusing too much on trying to get his body able to exert infinite physical strength. The part of him that is infinite is not his body but his soul that houses his concept. His body is only used to exert that concept in a physical way.

When that realization came Akio began focusing on his soul. He looked for where his infinity concept lay and found that it was completely merged within his soul. However, that was as far as it went. None of the concept was flowing through his physical body and instead just remained inside his soul.

'Am I an Idiot?'

Akio questioned why he never thought to try and control it. This would explain why Akio has infinite magic power as the place of origin for magic was where his soul was.

'Well let's give it a try.'

With that thought, Akio spread part of the infinity evenly throughout his body. Immediately he could feel a change. A feeling of omnipotence overtook him as he felt an unfathomable amount of power in every part of his body.

'So this is what Ophis feel's.'

Ophis was starting at Akio with shock. A minute ago she was beating him mercilessly but now she doubted she could even touch him. She could feel her connection with him growing as his mastery over the concept they shared grew.

A clear smile overtook her face as she once again with an increased speed rushed at Akio.

Akio was already aware of this as he easily dodged and sent a kick at Ophis. Ophis with a smile still on her face just increased her speed further and yet again swung her first at Akio.

The fight continued like that with Akio and Ophis just increasing their physical abilities after every exchange. They could go on forever with no end as their power was truly infinite.

Still, Akio knew he could win now, and the reason for that was his control of the void.

Akio backed away from Ophis and kept dodging her punches with ease. He then started to use both his void and infinite concepts in conjunction.

He completely voided the space between his fist and Ophis and sent a high-powered punch directly into her stomach. No matter how fast she could go even with infinite speed 0 distance is 0 distance. It is completely unavoidable.

Ophis was blown away but quickly regenerated and came back. Akio showing no more intent to fight walked over and hugged her expressing his gratitude for helping him achieve what he wanted.

Ophis was stiff for a while before she slowly with a small blush also hugged him.

.

.

.

Akio knew what he could do now. His power was infinite but that didn't mean it was omnipotent. His physical body may be indestructible but his soul could still be obliterated. His soul may house the concept of Infinity but it itself was not infinite. Akio assumed that was why his concept only reached 99% instead of 100 and he was sure Ophis was the same. His soul could be completely erased and he would die just like that.

With that thought, Akio became even more motivated on his journey to strengthen his soul.

One way he thought he may be able to achieve this is by evolving his 'spirit magic.' The true power of the magic is to be able to interfere with 'negative material' meaning he could directly interact with a person's soul.

He could already use that to completely take away a person's abilities and do other basic things but he was sure he could bring it to a different level.

Still, he set that thought apart as he felt a few people approaching his 'home'.

'Well, who will it be now?'
