White haired Goddess

Ariellas pov

I don't know why but my emotions were all over the place. As soon as the promise was filled he pushed me back into the room without even a word.

I had to tell myself that it was just for a grade and an apology from him. I was a nobody and him not even giving me a second glance after that last kiss confirmed it.

That kiss felt like everything and nothing all at the same time. I had to forget him. Maybe find a God to distract me because I couldn't allow myself to get lost in his grey eyes ever again like I did when he kissed me.

I looked around my room and tried to busy myself because my mind kept going back to that kiss. His lips were so soft and felt good. I was hoping that I could skip the kiss but every time I tried my wrist tingled. So I did the dance with the kiss.

I should be happy because I passed and got a good grade but I didn't think about the consequences. I would have to be in that class every day with him. Thinking about that kiss.

I flopped down on my bed and screamed into the pillow. That feeling in my gut was destroying everything. It was just one kiss. One kiss that I could forget if I stopped thinking about it. This week I would work on finding a distraction.

I had a dreamless sleep and my worries about class seemed to be for nothing. A new God was there to take me to and from class the next morning. Blake was no where to be found along with Alax or King Alexander.

The whole morning the God was silent. Not one word was spoken. He didn't even tell me he was my help. He handed me a piece of paper saying that Blakes royal council duties called for his presence. Maybe Blake couldn't face me and he found the easiest way to escape the betrayal that he cooked up.

"You know it would be nice if you talked to me." I said with a sigh to the God who was sitting awkwardly across from me. Break had never been more awkward than this.

I would've been upset about him not even saying one word but a hand waving me over by the bushes had me smiling. A friendly face. I looked at the God who had been my babysitter throughout the whole morning. How could I get away?

"I'm going to the bathroom." I lied. He probably didn't know that my body was like all other Gods besides the problem of not having powers. He didn't even reply. He was just slowly eating his sandwich which worked for me. The one time I wanted him to ignore me.

"Hey." I rushed out as I ran to her. She looked around before she was grabbing my hand and teleporting out.

"I need to ask you something." She rushed out. She kept looking around cautiously. Was she in danger? "What?" I asked as I eyed the lake that she brought me to again. This seemed to be her go to place. The soft water fall noice was comforting.

"You didn't tell King Alexander anything right?" She asked me with a seriousness that had guilt hitting me. She was my first friend that didn't have alternate motives.

"I didn't bring you up if that's what you are wondering." I said with a cringe. I should've never betrayed her but it would be fine. Her ridged form had me second guessing that thought though.

"What did you tell him?" She asked with narrowed eyes. Something was really off, her purple eyes were no longer a violet but was glowing a lavender color.

"Are you okay?" I whispered as I looked at Klaudias features more. Her hair was changing color, her white hair no longer had the shine that it did before. It seemed to be dulling to a grey.

"I said what did you tell him." She snapped at me. I backed up a step and looked around at the secluded area we were in and cringed at myself for going with her blind.

"I'm not going to do anything but I need to know everything that happened yesterday." She said alittle more friendly but still serious. I owed her that atleast. She helped me out alot.

"He agreed to let me pass if I summarized what I wrote. I ended up telling him I knew about the fake book because of the dance that was on the page." I explained. Now I was seeing how stupid I was. They played me and probably laughed at me for going with what he said even though it was fake.

"No. Please tell me you didn't dance it." She whispered. The fact that she could turn pale with how pale she already was had me debating whether I should lie or not.

"Please Ariella tell me you didn't dance the dance with him." She begged and all I could do was frown and show my guilt on my face. I didn't want to lie and I knew my silence would be enough.

"No." She sobbed as she dropped to the ground. My heart broke for some reason and my gut churned even more as I looked at her.

"I'm sorry. He agreed to let me pass. He said he was sorry for going along with his son's prank." I whispered. I don't know why dread hit me over a simple dance. Within an instant something churned inside of me and I was dropping to the floor.

"No. Ariella listen to me you have defenses for this and you can fight it." She rushed out. My heart was squeezing and I didn't even know what I was fighting. Why did it feel like my heart was filling up? I felt weird.

"You have to take her back Klaudia, he can't know that we know." A God with a seductive accent said. I would've looked up but my heart was feeling funny. Every part of me was.

"But dad." Klaudia whined to the God who was obviously her dad. "Klaudia he doesn't know that she prepared us for this. Send her back and we will plan. She won't remember our faces and we'll be safe to fight." The God with the accent said.

"Whats happening?" I groaned. I heard whispering and than it went silent for a second. "I can't find it." Klaudia said to her dad. A few curses could be heard before someone was kneeling next to me.

"Ariella where is the book at? I need it, this is important." The God rushed out. My body felt like it was about to burst. So much electricity felt like it was flowing through me.

"King Alexander probably has it. I left." I didn't get to finish my sentence because I was dizzy and passing out instantly.
