Group of friends part 2

Ariellas pov

"This beautiful Goddess right here is Ariella The new Goddess and I am the dick that never introduced myself. Ace is the name but the ladies love to call me Aye." Ace joked as his eyes twinkled up at me.

"Nobody calls you Aye loser." The Goddess next to him who had dark blue hair laughed as she playfully hit him.

The way he looked at her with hooded eyes told me that he was definitely a player. It was fine. I was definitely not looking for anyone to date.

"I'm sorry I'm so rude. My name's Rosie." The dark blue haired Goddess with the yellow eyes smiled. Rosie and Ace. That was easy.

"Ariella but he already told you that." I softly spoke. The way she made her brows jump had me confused and the smile that came with it was even more confusing.

"Well I'm Derek and this here is jazzie." The God with regular brown hair said as he messed up the blond Goddesses hair. So many names to remember.

"Well as long as you don't try to talk to my boyfriend we can be friends and all." The Goddess Jazzie said with alot of sass.

"So how is your first day?" Derek asked as he pulled out something that I never seen before. Why he would talk to me when his girlfriend told me not to talk to him was confusing.

I would rather have a Goddess as a friend nomatter how friendly Derek was so I ignored him.

"Is something wrong?" Derek asked again. It seemed he was not one to get a hint. Jazzie had her head laid up against Derek and was just looking at me. Examining me like I was an animal. I tried to not look away but everyones eyes on me was too much.

I looked towards the area that we came through and watched everyone laugh and eat all while enjoying the view. The tables near a small bird feeder was tempting. I definitely wanted to sit down but I didn't feel comfortable on the grass.

"Are you alright?" Jazzie asked me forcing my attention back to the group of new friends I may or may not make.

"Of course." I whispered as I looked at her beautiful face. Every goddess and God here were beyond beautiful. It was exhausting.

She gave me a soft smile before she was sitting up. "Well you've been ignoring Derek so I assumed something was wrong." She stated.

My face scrunched up on its own and I couldnt help but look at Derek. "You. Ummm you told me not to talk to him." I stated.

She took me in before laughing. Full blown laughing. The guys just smirked at me but Jazzie was literally laughing like I was the funniest Goddess she ever met. I think I was the only one that didn't get the joke.

"Omg you are too cute." She forced out through her laugh. How was I cute? I wanted to ask but I definitely didn't want them laughing at me more.

"I told you she was cute. So innocent and cute." Ace said as he eyed me in a uncomfortable way. He was cute and all but I wanted to take it slow. He looked at me like he would devour me.

"Here. You need this." Jazzie said as she handed me a blue straw that was on fire or atleast smoky at the end.

"What is this?" I asked as I eyed the thing that she had between her fingers. Her smirk had me eyeing her suspiciously. She brought the straw to her lips and inhaled.

I watched as she held out the straw again. She slowly blew smoke out her mouth towards me. The smell of leaves and pine hit me full force.

"It will help you relax. It's fine I promise." She said a she gestured for me to take the straw.

I hesitated for a second before I was slowly reaching for the straw. "What's in the straw?" I asked suspiciously. I knew that she just had it but I still had to ask.

"Straw? Fuck you are killing me." Ace groaned as he fixed his pants alittle.

I looked at the dark blue straw and twirled it around before I was bringing it close to my eyes. It smelled more potent the closer it got to my face. The tip of it was on fire and ash was building up the longer it burned.

"Put the tip that's not on fire in your mouth and inhale until your mouth is filled with smoke. It's simple." Derek explained as he gave Jazzie a kiss on her neck. I was quick to look away.

"If this isn't your thing it's fine. Everyone isn't cut out for it." Ace said in a nonchalant way. He looked bored the way he lazily watched me in disinterest. Was I ruining their fun?

I looked down at the straw and put the end that wasn't on fire in my mouth. A earthy taste hit my mouth instantly. A weird sensation hit me in my gut but I pushed it aside and inhaled long and hard.

Definitely a bad mistake because I started choking instantly. Ace made an Inhaling gesture so even through the choking I inhaled one more time and that was the deal breaker. I felt like I might die.

I took the straw away from my mouth fast and it was grabbed from my hands before I dropped it. That was the last thing on my mind because Coughing fits took me for a ride that I definitely didn't like.

My eyes started to water and my mouth started to burn. I could hear talking and laughing over all my coughs and that did nothing to help ease the feeling of death. No amount of clearing of my throat helped. A few tears rolled down my face and I wiped them away fast.

After minutes of almost dying, my vision focused and a weird sensation that I couldn't explain took hold of me. Everyone was looking at me with either a smile or a smirk.

My response was a blush and smile. Whatever was in that straw had me feeling light. Free. "How about you come and sit next to me?" Ace asked with a smirk that was disarming. He held his hand out for me to grab and I did the only rational thing I could think of, I grabbed it and allowed him to pull me down next to him. I needed to relax.
