The man in iron clad had a striking semblance with Kallis, almost like a more mature version of his friend.
'Even at gunpoint, I won't believe this man and Kallis are unrelated. He must either be his father or uncle maybe elder brother to some extent in any case both of them must have blood tie.'
Quinn mentally exclaimed as he wondered the relationship between the two. The newcomer's face was young and handsome, yet his eyes were too mature for someone in his mid-twenties.
This odd combination made it very difficult to predict their exact relationship. While Quinn was brooding, the man-made his way to Kallis lying on the floor.
The steps become heavier and his ever upright back slightly hunched as he approached Kallis; as much as Quinn craved, he could only helplessly watch the man approach his friend.
Though Kallis's story had something amiss about it, like how could a 5-year-old kid understand or go through so much torment in a couple of years and Quinn was sure that Kallis life was more than what eyes meet; it's still undeniable that Kallis is little kid with a soul-stirring tragic past.
To Quinn's surprise, the man's eyes became tender with every step he took to Kallis even a layer of tears formed in those mysterious amber eyes. Still, Quinn carefully observed without letting his guard down, not that he could stop the man from harming his friends.
"So it awoke after all."
*Sigh*
"My poor boy, Why's your fate this cruel?"
The man muttered with a weary sigh and bent down to caress his son's face. While he was embracing his long-separated son, a bright divine halo formed around them. Then the man took White pill from a jade box gently pushed it into Kallis's mouth.
Kallis started to intensely quiver and tremble he frowned before letting out a deep groan; his father made different hand signs, and soon the bright halo transformed into shackles. Beads of sweat fell from his forehead down his handsome as the halo slowly transformed into endless chains.
In a few seconds, the halo vanished and wholly transformed into chains.
Slowly the shackles covered Kallis forming a white cocoon and slowly tightened.
The moment it touched his dark skin, Kallis stopped trembling and his brows relaxed. After a few minutes, the shackles flickered a few times before completely vanishing.
The man stood up with great difficulty even when he was fully drained, his back was thoroughly drenched in sweat, and the tall majestic man was panting like a tired peasant.
Then he looked around, spotted three other little kids lying near his son. A gratified smile spread across his lips upon realizing that Kallis had earned some friends standing with him in the face of difficulty.
Being a veteran cultivator, he knew the rarity of such pure relationship in this cruel universe.
Slowly the amber pupils turned pure white and kept on mumbling some incomprehensive chants. Quinn suddenly remembered his first meeting with Blake, and immediately he knew the man was performing some sort of Divining skill.
The white eyes completely scanned Lardo a number of times before he exclaimed.
"Not bad… not bad at all. What a dazzling destiny pillar? As they say 'birds of the same feather flock together' umm…"
Then he turned to Boris, carefully scanned him before and shook his head.
*tsk*
"Whatever, who cares about destiny. Since your my kid's friend let me give a hand."
As he talked to himself, a ball of Purple liquid appeared in his hand, and he sent it floating to Boris.
The moment it touched his skin, the purple liquid seeped into the little kid body before completely vanishing.
Quinn was quietly witnessing everything; he couldn't sense any malicious intent from the man. Not that he can do anything to prevent the man who literally froze time to save his kid.
Finally, his attention was drawn to Quinn, he screened Quinn over and over before finally giving up.
"How is this possible? How could this happen? What going wrong? Why can't I read his destiny?"
Kallis's father murmured as he stared at Quinn in disbelief; then made a strange hand sign. That was the last thing Quinn remembered.
A few moments later, he found himself standing on a sea of white flames, yet strangely enough, the fire didn't harm him in any way. Though it burned his body, Quinn couldn't feel tinge od pain.
[Elgar, what's going on? Did that fellow teleport me to someplace?]
Quinn waited for a few seconds, but no one replied, he lost the connection with Zenith Box and Elgar. It was a strange, disturbing uneasiness, he was literally born with Elgar and suddenly missing him was too nerve-racking.
"I'm Kallis's father. Yasil Lincoln."
With the sound, the man suddenly manifested in spirit form before Quinn.
"Don't worry, you're in my inner world. Has Kallis revealed about his real past?"
He directly asked, and Quinn nodded with uncertainty. Quinn couldn't reconcile the man standing before him and Kallis's father in his story.
"Whatever my son told you is real; he really went through all those torturous experience before being banished to Unigux."
Yasil emotionlessly acknowledged, but Quinn didn't jump his guns before fully hearing out the other party.
"The House of Lincoln, also known as House of Light. Kallis is the first Dark Elemental in our lineage. Such an incident has never been recorded in the history of our clan. Kallis's birth was just an accident; his physique was a disaster."
He paused a moment while Quinn's eyes turned cold; which was completely ignored by the man.
"It wasn't just ordinary Dark element he was cursed with Dharma Devouring Physique.
This physique appears once in every millennium, and inevitably he will become the strongest existence of their timeline. Moreover, their rise will be unprecedented and irresistible, but such an astronomical feat needs corresponding sacrifices.
This physique will feed on the hatred bottled within and boost the cultivator. Typically, a child born with Chaos Devouring Physique only has two outcomes. Either,
A long yet torturous life, born and raised in a hostile environment while the latter part will be nothing but revenge; Or,
A short and peaceful life, children without any animosity fallen prey to their own physique and die within a couple of years of birth."
*Sigh*
"And so I was forced to plant the seeds of enmity in my son; everything he experienced was real. Except for his mother and you, not another soul knows this truth.
Today was his premature awakening; I've sealed it temporarily. The next couple of years will have outbursts of smaller-scale from time to time before his real awakening.
I'm revealing these secrets because I know you are unique and destined to achieve extraordinary feats. Moreover, I sensed the righteous flames of anger burning in your eyes for the maltreated friend of yours' earlier.
No matter how dire the situation is never let him learn the truth; or all my efforts will be for nothing and you'll lose your friend. Please look after him on my behalf."
Yasil requested, no he was almost pleading. Quinn solemnly nodded without a hint of hesitation.
"Our next meeting will after be a long time, till then hold on to this token it might come in handy."
And a white pendant was thrown to Quinn before he lost his consciousness.
