Dormitory (Part 1)

While Blake was talking a white stone suddenly appeared in his hand, it was probably taken from his storage device. Then he placed a stone on Quinn's forehead and told.

"Quinn this is 'Soul Sealing Gem' it helps in concealing your real natal soul. If the news about your Grade 10 natal soul is known to the world, you will get unnecessary attention which is detrimental for your growth, so we are better to hide it. This process will be a bit painful, so bear with it."

Then Blake crushed the gem with his hands, and a white radiance shot from the crushed stone and entered Quinn Glabella. The process was painful but not unbearable, so he easily bore it.

But still, he decided to put an act and pressed his forehead with both his hands and shouted like he was suffering from hellish pain. Blake pressed Quinn's glabella with his thumb. The pain lessened after that and Quinn stopped crying.

"Moreover, never ever utter a word about your Basic Soul to anyone, not even to your closest friend. At least wait till you graduate from the school and safeguard this secret like your life depends on it."

After that, Blake hesitated a bit before speaking.

"Quinn here is a piece of advice 'the possibility of outsmarting oneself is very high when one is ignorant.'" After finishing, Blake asked Quinn to take a bath and get ready to go to the dorm.

He was trying to act like a dignified grandfather in front of his grandson. So he didn't chitchat and tried to be a bit strict. Quinn wasn't bothered with Blake's attitude as he knew Blake cared about him very much.

Quinn even felt it was refreshing to have a strict grandpa. While Quinn was bathing, he was considering Blake's last lines as he thought there was some hidden message in it.

On the surface, it seemed like Blake warning him to keep quiet about his soul grade and Basic Soul, but there was also something hidden as if he was trying to implying something else. Quinn felt dizzy as he couldn't make heads or tails out of it.

After pondering a bit, he decided to treat it like some old beggar's blabber and forget about it. After taking a shower, he had tasteless breakfast with Blake. Only after eating an ordinary breakfast, Quinn started to miss his mother and her tasty food.

After breakfast Blake took him to his hovercar, it was very old and dirty. Quinn was astonished to see such a car as everyone in this world will have at least one android, and so even if one is very lazy, all manual work would be done by the android.

Quinn didn't find any android in Blake's house, and he assumed that Blake was a bit old-fashioned and did all his work by himself. Generally, old people are active, and Quinn expected Blake to be this type of person.

But after seeing the car, he was speechless, and Quinn knew that he was mistaken. Blake was really a lazy old coot. Blake got in the car even without even bothering to cleaning the dirty car.

After half-an-hour, the car stopped. The ride was bumpy and once they nearly got into an accident, because one of the boosters failed. After some self-repair, it somehow started again and safely dropped them.

Because the ride was very bumpy and scary Quinn couldn't even check out the city, in fact also if the car went smoothly, he will still fail to see as the windows cracked and very dusty.

When Quinn got down, he saw a very long wall about 3 meters high. He was standing before the gate, it's the Dormitory. Once they neared the entrance, it automatically opened. They made their way to the office building near the gate.

When they enter the Inside the office, there was only an old lady who was sleeping on a couch. Blake went near her and woke her up gently. After seeing Blake, the old lady, immediately woke up and apologized.

She was like a country bumpkin who saw her favourite celebrity her were glittering like stars. Blake actually behaved gentlemanly apologized for disturbing and politely asked for a room for Quinn without any chitchat.

Seeing Blake's acting Quinn felt like vomiting 'This old man is really shameless and why the hell is he behaving like some superstar.'

Only after that did the old lady realize that another person was here. Even after seeing him, she ignored him and tried to flirt with Blake. But Blake was like a slippery eel and insisted on finishing the job in hand.

'What's so great about this old man and aren't you guys a bit too old for this?' Quinn was fuming inside. Finally, the old women reluctantly took a few cards and asked Quinn to select one. The tickets were in different colours, and many numbers were written on it.

Even then she was checking out Blake and thinking of something, the only god knows what she was thinking. Quinn wanted to escape before he really vomited seeing this flirting old couple, so he randomly took a card and ran outside.

After that, he checked the card. It was a sturdy and flexible black colour card with 'A - 9' written on either side of the card. There was no symbol or indication on the card just the number.

Blake reluctantly came from the office and went to Quinn standing outside the building. After that, he took the card from Quinn's hand saw the number. After seeing the number, Blake looked at Quinn as if he was seeing a lottery winner.

Quinn looked around and saw 10 columns of buildings; they were all neatly arranged and looked identical. The columns were so long that Quinn wasn't able to see the end. He could only see a point at which all the 10 columns met.

Each building in a row was marked in alphabetical order - A, B, C... till J followed by a number. Like A 9, H 80, and so on. All the buildings were identical, and in the same colour, it looked so similar that if one removed the numbers, no one could differentiate one from others.

Then Quinn and Blake went to A column. There were many hover disks stationed, Blake placed the card on verification box, and a hover disk automatically came near him.

The disk was small, and only one person could stand in it. Then Blake lifted Quinn and placed him on the disk. Actually, Quinn quickly got on to it as it was floating very close to the ground.

"Brat, work hard and make us proud. And also enjoy your school days to the maximum extent possible. Your future is in your hands. Bye, Quinn, take care." Then Blake gave the card to Quinn and ran back to the office.

Quinn was dumbfounded seeing this old man running after giving a severe lecture. When he saw him entering the office, Quinn's opinion about Blake again changed. 'He's a perverted lazy old coot.'

Shaking his head, Quinn ordered the disk to go to A-9 building. Then the hover disk steadily went to A-9.
