Chapter 3: Final result

Everyone is silent; laughter echoes from the leaders' platform.

Yami: "Hahahahahaha!"

The battles continued until it was Asta's turn.

Asta excitedly: "Let's fight like men who battle for their dreams!"

Arrogant Bohha boy: "You filthy brat, this is not your place. I will become a Magic Knight, and you will..." Satoru interrupts: "Boo, boo, don't waste my time, you trash," then addresses Asta, "Come on, dwarf, crush this insect."

William Vangeance: "Begin."

Bohha boy: "Holding his grimoire in his hands, don't slack off, Asta," as a bubble forms around him.

Some villainous internal monologue that's not necessary to mention.

Asta: "Alright, I won't give up," as he disappears from his spot, reappearing in front of Bohha boy, pulling a massive sword from his grimoire.

William: "He's fast. Is he using speed magic?"

Yami replies: "No, he isn't. His physical skill is just incredibly impressive."

The bubble gets sliced in half, and Bohha boy is crushed.

One of the applicants: "What... just happened?!"

Asta, with unyielding determination: "I don't want to be an ordinary Magic Knight; I want to become the Wizard King!"

Finral: "Was that magic? I didn't expect him to be this strong after his poor results."

Yami replies: "He didn't use magic," then comments on Asta's statement, "We have a peculiar kid here."

The battles continue, and Yuno crushes a noble who resembles a human insect.

William: "Now, with the last test over, step forward if you hear your number. Any leader who wants the examinee, please raise your hand."

William: "Number 1..."

...

William: "Number 32, you have been chosen by the Purple Orca."

...

William: "Number 78, you have been chosen by the Crimson Lion."

...

William: "Number 116, you have failed."

William: "Number 141, you have failed."

William: "Number 163, step forward." Satoru walks forward with his hands in his pockets, and all the leaders stand from their seats, raising their hands.

The side characters, in awe and in unison: "All the leaders want him."

Fuegoleon: "Damn nephew, you've done what you wanted. Now come and join the family squad to inherit my position."

One side character: "What? Is he from the royal family?"

Another side character: "Did I hear that right? Did he say inherit his position as leader of the Crimson Lion?"

Satoru, sticking his tongue out at Fuegoleon: "Pfft, stupid uncle, that's never going to happen."

A vein pops on Fuegoleon's forehead: "I swear I'll die young like this."

Satoru: "I choose the Black Bulls."

Everyone in the testing area, in unison: "Whaaaaaaaaat?!!!!!!!!!!"

Yami laughs heartily: "Hahahahahahahaha!"

William, smiling: "Number 164," Yuno steps forward, and all the leaders raise their hands, shocking everyone.

Yuno: "I choose the Golden Dawn."

Finral comments: "He chose the easiest path."

Yami: "Doesn't matter; we've got our golden egg."

Finral: "Is he that strong?"

Fuegoleon, feeling intense conflict: "Yes, he is the closest to the Wizard King's power among everyone in the kingdom."

Finral, with shrinking eyes: "Really?!"

William: "Number 165." Asta steps forward to the sound of a cricket in the background.

Yami stands up: "Of course, this is what happens. Even if you're good at fighting, no one wants a power with no identity, as the name suggests. What we look for in a Magic Knight is magical power," then Yami releases an immense pressure of his magical power, causing everyone's hair to stand on end in fear.

Yami jumps from the platform, landing in front of Asta, then says, "No one here wants you because you have no magical power."

Asta struggles to breathe, looking at Yami, finding him like a predator.

Yami: "Do you still want to become the Wizard King, you who have no magical power? Can you still say that to my face?"

Asta, with determination: "I don't care who or what says otherwise, I will become the Wizard King someday."

Yami, laughing heartily: "You're funny, kid. Come to the Black Bulls." Asta and everyone else can't believe it.

Yami continues, threateningly: "For your information, you don't have the right to refuse."

Then Yami adds: "Be ready to run into the depths of hell in the Black Bulls, and one day you'll become the Wizard King."

Asta: "Yes, sir!"

Satoru, beside them with popcorn in hand: "That was nice of you, gorilla." A vein pops on Yami's forehead as he attacks Satoru with his sword, stopping just a centimeter from his face. Satoru continues eating his popcorn, trying to push the sword further, veins popping from his hands.

Asta interrupts: "Now that everything is over, I'll go to the bathroom."

After a while, Asta returns to find Yami in the same position he was in, then Yami looks at Asta with frustration.

Yami: "Do you have the nerve to make me wait this long?"

Asta, surprised: "Was it that long?!!!"

Satoru, still eating popcorn: "Yes."

Yami, addressing Finral after grabbing Asta's head, trying to crush it: "Finral, let's go. And you, stop eating, eye boy."

Finral: "Fallen Angel's Gate," a spatial portal opens, leading to the Black Bulls' hideout.

Yami throws Asta through it and follows with the others. As soon as Finral's portal closes, the hideout door explodes in Asta's face, revealing chaos everywhere: a drunk lady, a child eating voraciously, two kids fighting, and a boy staring at a picture with a nosebleed.
