Chapter 30
Even though Eloy's stay in the ward was very boring, Felix made her follow the medical advice and stay in the hospital for a week. As a child she had always thought that practicing playing the same piece over and over again was the most torturous thing in the world, and now she wanted to take back what she had said before, because as an able-bodied person yet being forced to stay in the ward and doing nothing but sitting or lying down, she felt that her body was going to be idle and scrapped.
Felix had prepared so many pastimes for her, food, drink, fun, and all sorts of things that he understood a woman would like, all delivered to her, that she was a little worried about how many suitcases his assistant would need to carry behind them when she could be discharged.
