Separated

"What's the plan for tomorrow?" Miyu asked the three of them.

"What, you are the director here, and you do not know?" Wang Zibo, finally relaxing over Mo Yifan's acceptance, teased Miyu. It was like Chen Waan's opinion did not matter to him at all. He was confident Wang Zenghao would be able to convince her anyway.

Chen Waan decided to go completely silent at this moment. These two people were selfish people alright. She had decided to take the previous insulting incident as fuel to the fire burning inside her and prove them her worth. But it seemed like whatever she did, she would never be able to climb the ranks in their eyes.

If her consent did not matter, then her contributing to any of the discussions did not make any sense either. She had thought this Mo Yifan was a kid inside, the way he had tried to reconcile but she was wrong. She still needed to take more time to judge these two characters. She could not warm up to them anymore.

She had thought she could at least become friends with Mo Yifan but that possibility seemed distant. She was going to maintain only professional closeness with them, learning everything required in the process. She was going to leech off them.

"Right, I meant after the interview. Chen Waan, you are the translator for tomorrow. How about going for shopping afterwards? I heard you did not bring enough clothes?" Miyu suggested, as she looked forward to spending time with another intelligent being.

"I think I can manage in two sets of clothes. It is not a problem," Chen Waan mentally checked her money wallet, zero. And her emotional wallet too, nothing.

She did not need to go on personal errands with other employees anymore. The disappointment after rejection was very obvious on Miyu's face. And truly, she understood Chen Waan's sentiments. She had gone through the same thing being a female trying to be in the position of power. There were numerous times when her male seniors had shut her down. Same thing was happening with Chen Waan here.

Miyu did not pursue it further. She just needed to kidnap Chen Waan alone the next day. She would personally treat her.

The dinner went majorly in silence. Miyu took Chen Waan away from the boys, for sleepover at her own home. She knew Chen Waan would be uncomfortable with them for the time being. Chen Waan was very grateful to the Director. She still wanted to understand the rationale behind everyone treating her so nicely.

"I apologize for them. I heard from Auntie Zhou that you guys had a fight just before this. I guess they are not treating you right," Miyu started the conversation as they were heading to her house. She had already informed one of her aides to pack and bring her stuff from the inn.

"It's alright. I might have been rude too. I do not have much experience with living with unknown people, much less guys. So I struggle in knowing my boundaries and what is polite and what is not," Chen Waan admitted honestly. She did not really want to talk much, but this was also an opportunity to learn from an industry senior. So she needed to milk this opportunity as much as she could.

"Oh! I had no idea. I am sorry, you have become such a sensation throughout the company that we sometimes forget to consider your background," Miyu replied helplessly.

'That does not give you an excuse to insult me!'

"Ah well. I guess, as I am trying to get used to everyone, everyone around me is doing the same. The only thing is, I feel so lost. I certainly did not have any direction in my mind till now regarding my career, but this was definitely not it. I had thought I would do something related to languages. So the only aspect I am enjoying right now is the translation part," Chen Waan confessed once again. She had a dejected tone to her voice. She truly was confused.

Miyu was delighted that they could have a heart to heart right now. It felt that the personal connection she was seeking with this girl was being established slowly. She would never think that Chen Waan was only interested in her advice and not forging any relations.

"Ah! That's okay. I saw your acting today and you do have a knack for it. Trust me, Wang Zenghao has never been wrong," Miyu counseled her cheerfully.

"That is what the problem is. Everyone is banking on the fact that since Wang Zenghao chose me, there should be something brilliant about me. But no one is talking about my own talents. And for that reason, I do not even have proper feedback from anyone apart from my trainer. Everyone is treating me like some kind of genius but I am not even faring that well in my training," Chen Waan lowered her head, her hands fidgeting. She might have been able to evade those situations with her arrogant persona, but it was not true her. She was not even sure who she was anymore.

"I am so sorry you feel like that. I don't guarantee that it would get either. Why don't you try it for some time still? I personally did enjoy your performance today and am looking forward to what kind of characters you bring to life," Miyu replied her in the manner of giving advice. But she herself was not sure if her empty words would alleviate the pain she was going through.

"And if it does not work out in the end, you still have your languages, right? They would not ever betray you!" Miyu concluded. She really did not have words of advice for Chen Waan at the moment. She was a special case after all.

After having such a heavy chat, when they both reached Miyu's villa, Chen Waan could not believe her eyes. She was looking at exact replica of the house she was currently living in!

Some heavy chit chat indeed!
