Chapter 31
Xavier made his way up the stairs, carrying me in his arms like I'm some precious ceramic statue, which might break if he let loose, but I'm in no mood to complain.
He sat down on my bed and turned to me; his eyes lost the warm look. It was like you're looking at an iceberg frozen, not moving, melting slowly, but now showing the signs of the danger coming forth.
"I'm going to send Aisling up to help you change" he was about to turn and leave me, and somehow, I knew he was going to confront Alex, but I was not ready to let go yet, So I grabbed his hand holding him back.
"Stay. Please, just for a while, but stay" He stopped looking back at me. I saw pain unfold in his eyes as His gaze moved from my face to my hand, softening his face.
"Don't go, please. I need you right now Xavi. I don't want to be alone." he slowly unclasped my hand and placed it on my chest.
