21.ITS A TRAP
THIRD POV .
Everyone started making small talk as they started following Tatiana and her friends .
Something was bugging Riley though . Things were never that easy . She had been living alone all this while but she knew that people were not this nice .
Something was not adding up . The kids that she was with looked like little kids . There was no way she had decided to take care of them.
She did not look like that kind of person .
"Hey Aubrey ",she called out to Aubrey who stood and waited for Riley to catch up with her .
The only person who knew Tatiana was Aubrey so she needed her to tell her everything she knew about Aubrey .
"What's up ?",Aubrey asked her as she caught up with her .
"I had a question, were you and Tatiana friends before it looked like neither of you was happy seeing the other ",Riley said chuckling .
"We were not really friends she just saved me that's it ",said Aubrey .
"Ooh then why did you guys separate?",Riley asked her .
"Well when she found me she took me to the hospital to see my mum but she wanted to leave and I wanted to stay with her for a while in case she woke up ",said Aubrey .
" Ooohh so did she stay with you? ",Riley asked her even though she already k ew the answer .
" What she would never , it's always about her she never thinks about someone else ",said Aubrey chuckling .
It was what Riley had assumed . Tatiana didn't look like someone who cared about other people so why would she show them a place that they would stay at?
It was most definitely a trap .
" Then why would she be so generous to show us a place to stay don't you think thats unlike her ? ", Riley asked Aubrey .
" Just let it go maybe she has changed we don't know if she is saying the truth or lying we just have to go and see for our selves" ,said Aubrey and by this Glen turned behind to look at them.
" Is everything okay ? ",she asked them.
" Yes everything is quite alright it's just Riley overthinking again ",said Aubrey .
'What's up ?",Glen asked Riley .
"Hey you guys will talk later the sun will be setting soon so we've got to go ",said Riley as she took a corner and entered a street that looked too clean it felt like they were in another city .
It looked as if they had left the poor side of town and entered the rich neighborhood and that was exactly what they had walked into .
The streets looked clean , quiet as of the place was new and they were the first people there .
'What is this place ? ",asked Aubrey as she looked around in awe .
She could never have thought after everything had happened that a place like that existed . It looked so good to be true .
" We don't know what it was but I think some big shot people lived here , nothing had been ruined which means they all left at kind of the same time because all their belongings are packed ",she said as they entered a large gate that stood in the middle of the street .
The walls were covered in bricks that were so tall to the point it was imposiible for someone to climb .
"There is even grass and all that this can't be real ",said Harry .
,So are you the only people who have been staying here or better yet how did you find out about this place ?",asked Riley .
There was definitely something else that she was not telling them .
"That is a story for another day for now just get comfortable and take a house so that you can rest , I assume tomorrow you'll be on the road ",said Tatiana .
"Yeah , thank you really we appreciate it ",said Harry smiling at her .
She reminded him of her daughter .
"No problem we have to help each other or else we'll all be ruined ",said Tatiana .
"Okay thank you ",said Glen as she matched to the house that was on the left side and urged the others to follow her .
She opened the door and was just greeted by fresh air compared to the other houses she had raided .
There were no pictures on the wall but it seemed that there had been they had just been taken down.
The house looked like it had belonged to a family because even though the house was clean and spotless there were some toys scattered on the corridor as they entered .
The house was painted in white and the walls were spotless which was wierd if the family had kids .
Riley made her way to the kitchen and they was a kettle on the stove and a cup in the counter . She touched it and it was warm which meant that someone had been there and nit so long ago .
Tatiana had said that they were the only people who lived there but how come there would be a cup of coffee that was still warm if they had been with them all along .
She opened one of the cupboards and stuffed the bag that she was carrying. She took two guns and strapped them on her belt .
She was going to find out what was going on .
She heard a thud and wondered where it was coming from. She closed the cupboard and slowly walked to the living room where she had left the others but they were nowhere to be seen .
It was as if they had suddenly disappeared into thin air but that was not true .
Their bags were missing which only meant one thing . Tatiana had lied to them . Someone had entered the house when she had gone to the kitchen and taken her friends .
She needed to leave as fast as she could . She turned around to go to the kitchen to take her bag when suddenly someone hit her and she fell down unconscious.
