The Labyrinth of Emanuel

Malcom ran towards the exit. He had to put distance between him and the two enemies who had seen him, he crossed the rooms with speed, and when he reached the room where the staircase should be to ascend, he only found a strange room that looked like a huge dining room. Many gnawed tables and a huge bar at the end with two doors in the corners of the room. He walked slowly, looking around when he heard a voice say.

"Marked! You're leaving so soon…? I can't allow it!" The man's voice sounded everywhere when he said, "I'm sorry, but to get out, you need the key. Why don't you come? I'll give it to you!"

Malcom cursed under his breath and tried to communicate with Skyler, but he couldn't. Looking around him, he understood that he was trapped and would have to defeat those two people to escape.

In the cell room, Sarah watched the man speak to the rune he had used.

"That is a good trick, Emanuel!"

Said the girl calmly while the man in the flowered shirt smiled. When he saw her, he said.

"I told you! The virtues could not beat me!" She snorted again, and leaving the rune floating in the air, she saw how it transformed into a tiny model of that place. "He is here. We can follow his movements and change the rooms as we want because I am the maze master! Send your things to get him!"

The girl cracked her teeth and then said.

"Don't act like you are the boss, Emanuel!" When she said that, she took two of the coffins in her clothes and taking them off she put them on the ground. In a fraction of seconds they turned into huge coffins from which two strange corpses came out.

One of the corpses had a boiled mouth and ears torn off while instead of hands, it had crossbows, and the other was a female with long limbs, claws and giant fangs that resembled the fangs of a tiger.

When Emanuel saw them, he said.

"Remember you can't kill him, Sarah!"

She smiled and said.

"I will not kill him. But I'll hurt him a lot!"

And with a laugh, the two corpses shot out in the direction of Malcom. In the dining room, Malcom was trying to think of a strategy to get out of that place.

Obviously, they had modified the entire ruin with a magic treasure or rune, and to break that spell, he would have to take the treasure or knock out the mage who activated the rune. Either option led him to fight with them.

Breathing slowly calmed his anxiety and speaking out loud to understand the train of thought he said.

"The soldiers at the gate were level three, which means that they already used specialties. These two jerks must be level three or higher! Clearly, that girl controls the corpses, and the man who spoke is the one who controls the stage. They know I haven't left, so either there is no way out, or they can see me!"

At that moment, Malcom heard movement in the entrance, and looking towards the door, he saw how the creature with the fangs entered with speed to attack him. Still, as it passed, Malcom smiled, and a card that he himself had left on the floor was activated impaling the creature.

"Excellent, they can't see everything I do. Just know where I am!"

The second one appeared behind the first corpse and, raising his hands, shot several shavings of his crossbow against the marked. He ran and lifted the tables. He managed to prevent the shots from hitting him and going out through one of the doors on the other side of the gate. He tried to get away. The creature pursued him, and as the creature crossed the door, saw how the Marked waited for it with his dagger turned into a sword and, with a quick movement, cut the head off that corpse.

"Damn Marked!" Said the woman angrily.

Emanuel saw her and, with a smile, said.

"Are your corpses so useless that they cannot capture a Marked?"

"I don't see you doing anything!" She said angrily.

The smiling man got up and, walking to the front, said.

"Let's do something then!"

From his feet, several tangles came out and began to spread throughout the place. He smiled as the plants grew in all directions, and with a smile looking at Sarah, he said.

"I'll limit his movement. You take care of him!"

She nodded and, taking a coffin from her dress, said.

"This is special for him!" Placing the coffin on the floor grew to be much taller than her, and a huge creature appeared from it. "Go get the stupid Marked, Astro!"

The corpse that emerged from that colossal coffin was enormous, much larger than a human being. In one of his hands it had a gigantic mass while in the other a shield that could easily function as a door to anywhere. His entire body was covered by black armor, and on his head, a horned helmet covered his face.

Emanuel opened his eyes with surprise, and smiling, he said.

"Astro!? Are we taking this seriously?"

Sarah, with an angry expression, said.

"He has destroyed four of my precious pets. That damn Marked made me mad!"

And with those words, the creature jumped and sped toward the door to hunt Malcom. In another place in the ruins, which size was now gigantic, Malcom ran, trying to establish a strategy to confront his captors. He was advancing down a long corridor when in front of him, a vine began to advance along the walls of that place.

Malcom stopped instantly and saw how the vines stopped in front of him. He analyzed them for a second, and taking a step forward, one of them lunged against him with speed. Using his dagger, he cut it, and backing away, he realized that they responded to his movement.

"I won't be able to move through here!"

Malcom said as he prepared to back away, but when he saw across the corridor from the darkness, a huge figure appeared. It was a man in armor, so large that its horns rose to the ceiling. IT held a gigantic mass in his right hand, while in its left, a shield rested.

"They are very persistent!"

Said the marked, sheathing his dagger and taking two cards from his arsenal. Seeing the creature, he calmly threw them.

But at that moment, the shield of that corpse flew in his direction.

Malcom could barely react by leaning backward, almost remaining in a horizontal position to see how the shield passed over him.

The creature was catching its own shield on the other side of the hall when Malcolm, with surprise, saw a huge mass rush down to crush him.

Using the treasure from his boots, he got out of the way to watch the huge corpse destroy the floor in one fell swoop.

This does not make the slightest sense! Malcom thought as he went for a card with one of his hands.
