9: Double The Heartache

Shanne saw Kai leaning on a bench,at the rooftop garden,but when he saw her,he stand up and tried to walk away from her.

"Are you avoiding me?"Tell me what's the reason you're doing this to me?"she asked.

Kai froze a little bit,but after a second he turned around to face her.

"Me?Avoiding you?Why should I?"Am I not allowed to chose who's I'm going to talked?Are we that closed,enough for you to think that Im avoiding you?It's not because I save you two times,it doesn't mean were already close."he said as he smirks.

He walk slowly to her and caress her hair and whisper.

"Or is it because I wipe your tears here?or I held your hair,or I gave you my handkerchief?

"Or maybe because I almost kissed you on that day when your crying?"

"Everything I've done is just an acts."he said and turn his back controlling his emotion to not take back the harsh words he said.He knew she was hurt,but he have to do this to make her safe from the elderly.

Shanne can't utter even a single word from her mouth.She is shock and deeply hurt by the words he said.Every words that he said is like a sword that cutting his heart.He's not the Kai that she knows.He seems like a different person.

"D-do you really mean what you said?"her tears started to flow running down her cheeks.

Kai didn't answered her,he just walked away from her.If he stay longer,surely he would take back the words he just said,and hug her so tight.And worst he would tell her what he really felt for her.And that makes things more complicated.

On the stairway he meet Namjoo.

"What happened?Why your expression like that?"

Kai heard that Shanne is calling his name,she followed him.Without thinking,he pulled Namjoo and kissed her on the lips for Shanne to see.

Shanne can't believed the words that Kai said.His eyes told different to the words he says.So,she called his name,and hurriedly followed him.

"Kai!Kai!Kai wai-------

She's surprised of what she saw.

Kai and Namjoo are kissing at the stairway.All her hopes are disappeared.Her knees are trembling.She run back to the rooftop garden and cry.

It is double pain than the words he said.Her tears flows from her eyes.She's very hurt.They said,they were best friends,but now she already knew that they are not just friends, instead a lovers.

She let her tears come out until she fall asleep at the bench.

She didn't noticed that Kai came back.He saw her sleeping at the bench he used to leaned.Kai caress her cheek,and trace the tears on it.

"I'm sorry for hurting you.But,this is the only way to make you safe.To stay away from."

Kai caress her lips carefully.And he bent to kissed her gently.

Namjoo heared what Kai said to the sleeping girl,and it hurts her,it's confirmed, Kai loves her.For the first time Kai fall in love.

She's ready to leave when he saw him kissing on her lips while sleeping,and then he walked away.And it hurts her more.She's with him since young,while this girl...they just met and know each other for few months.But,why Kai sees her as a friend only?

"Hah!"Shanne gasped as she wake up.She felt as if someone kissed her.She touched her lips.

"I can fell the warmth of a kiss."Or did I just dreamed?" She looked at her wrist watch and saw it was already dismissal.

"Omo!I skipped my last subject."I slept for 2 hours and I didn't noticed the time.She thought of what happened earlier.

"Alright, if you don't liked me,then I don't liked you anymore."she whispered.But why her eyes became watery again?But before she can cry again she heard Lay's voice calling her name.

"Ya!Shanne-ah!You're just here but you didn't answered me back!"Lay said.

"Sorry."she just said trying to hide her swelled eyes.

"Ya!Did you just cry?"

"No!My eyes like this because I'm only awake right now.I got sleep here.And I skipped my last subject not intensionally."Shanne explained.Wishing Lay would believe her.

Lay just stare at her.Even though,he's not totally convinced ,he just didn't asked her.

"Let's go!"he said.

"Yeah,Ga ja!"

After they left,Kai slowly came out from the back of the plants.He's been there since she slept until she woke up.He didn't left her,he just hid on the fat plants and silently watched her while sleeping.

Kris,Tao,Xiumin,together with Suho,Luhan and Sehun that holding Luhan's arm,are waiting for them outside the school campus.

"What took you so long to come out?"We've been waiting here for half an hour!"says Suho.

"Sorry,but why are you waiting for us?"asked Shanne.

"We decided to have bonding with you in your house,since tomorrow is Saturday."explained Luhan.

"And we saw Kris,Tao,and,Xuimin,so we envited them to join us."So come on,let's go,while it's still early."said Sehun and he headed first to Shanne's house.

"Annyeong haseyo,aunt!"greetings of all her friends to her aunt Dara.

"IMO(aunt) they are my friends in school,and this is Kai my best friend in the Philippines. Can they stay here for awhile?"asked Shanne.

"Of course,they can!"Dara said with joy."I'm happy that you found a new friends here."Lay,how's your mother?"

"You know him aunt Dara?"she's surprised that her aunt knows Lay.

"O-of course!"He's our neighbor before."

"Ah."I can't barely remember my childhood."she said.

"Don't think about it."Come,let's eat.I cooked early that's why the dinner is already ready."said her aunt.

When they are at the dinning table,exactly when Eunji came down.Her friends eyes widen as they saw Eunji.

"What is the'despise'I mean one of the spice girls is here?"asked Sehun raising his brow.

"S-she is my eonni."Shanne said shyly,she's worried that her older sister will get mad,that he brought friends to their house.

"What!"the only word that came out from her friends mouth.

"Eonni,they came because---

"It's okay.Just don't make your noise too loud."Eunji said and she goes to the kitchen and have some foods.She brought foods to her room because she's studying for her upcoming midterm.

Shanne is shock of her sister's reaction.She expected that her eonni will make her embarrassed in front of her friends.

"Aunt Dara,did you saw my eonni's reaction?"

Dara smiled at her."I knew it.Someday,you and her will become okay again,just like before."

"Oh,come on guys let's eat while the foods are still hot."

They ate and laughed until 8:00 pm.Shanne is very happy at this moment.For the meantime,she forgot her heartache for an hours.
