Obsession

Ava helped Amelia to make lunch and stayed with them for some time before she decided to leave.

"Are you sure you won't stay the night?" Amelia asked as she was worried about Ava staying alone.

"I will be fine. Thank you for your hospitality towards me." Ava said, she looked at Hannah and said "You told me a lot of things about the future, yet you refuse to tell me who The immortals are, why?"

Hannah looked at Ava and said "It is not my duty to tell you that."

"I hope you can visit us more often" Amelia said.

Ava nodded in agreement and left with a heavy heart and for the first time she began to feel afraid of what the future holds for her.

As Amelia watched Ava leave she felt unhappy, because if it were up to her she would have wanted Ava to stay the night. At least she can finally relaxed since there is someone taking care of Logan.

"You shouldn't look so unhappy, you should enjoy her now that she is nice and sweet because as time goes on she will become very dangerous."

"Why did you tell her those things, I thought you don't tell people their future?"

"I don't, but I gave her a bonus since she made me laugh." Hannah said with a shrugged.

Amelia stared at Hannah in disbelief and said "It doesn't matter. I am just happy that my little Logan finally has someone he will spend the rest of his life with, at least he is doing much better than my idiot son."

'Achoo'

"Are you alright?"

"Yes, but why do I have this feeling that someone is saying bad words about me." Jack said with an unease look.

"Perhaps your conscience is judging you. Tell me the truth what horrible thing have you done recently?" Logan asked teasingly.

"Nothing!" Jack replied immediately and when he saw Logan looking at him suspiciously, he knew it was because of his quick replied so he said more calmly "It isn't horrible, it's just complicated."

"Complicated is a word that goes with Brian and not you. Does it involve a woman?"

"Something like that and it involves my mate."

"You should be happy that you have found your mate, what is so complicated about that?"

"Well, that is because her sister is the one I am mated to."

"Whose sister?"

"Mia's"

Logan looked at Jack in disbelief and asked "Are we talking about the same Mia you have been dating for a year or are we talking about another Mia and please tell me it is another Mia."

"It is the same Mia"

"Oh goodness, how come you didn't know that you were mated to your girlfriend sister."

"How could I have known when she went to stay with her uncle since she was 10."

"Well does Mia knows that her sister is your mate."

Jack stared at Logan silently and knew the answer to his question just by looking at his beta.

"You haven't told her, have you?"

"How do you expect me to tell my current girlfriend that her younger sister is my mate. Mia may not be my mate but I still care about her and I wouldn't like to see her hurt."

"Jack listen to me, you have to tell Mia the truth and I agree she will get hurt but it is either you hurt Mia or your mate. And by the way, what is the name of your mate?"

"Her name is Keira and she is so beautiful"

"If you want you can come to me anytime to receive some romantic advise. I think every soon I will be able to win Ava heart."

"Are you bragging about your relationship to me right now?"

"Yes, I am"

"You are so shameless"

"At least I didn't get involved with my mate sister"

"Ouch."

Logan laughed at Jack trying to feign an hurt expression and before he could say anything the door to his study's was knocked.

"Come in" And immediately when Logan saw who was at the door, his smile faded and he said harshly "I told you I would be busy and I do not want to be disturb by you."

"Well, you had no problem of being disturbed by your beta but when your future wife wishes to speak to you, you discard her like she is nothing."

Logan looked at Lia with no emotion in his eyes, then he turned to Jack and said "Excuse us."

Jack nodded and gave a slight bow to Logan and was about to leave when Lia said "How dare you disrespect the future Luna of this pack. You bowed to the Alpha and dare to ignored the Luna, I could have your head for your actions."

"To you, you may be the future Luna of this pack but to me and everyone else, our only Luna is Ava"

"How dare you!" Lia shouted as she raised her hand to slap Jack but she was stop by Logan cold and deep voice "Leave Jack"

Jack looked at Logan and walked out of the study.

After Jack left, Lia looked at Logan in anger and said "He disrespected me and all you could tell him was to leave?"

"If you had known your limit, then you would never have felt disrespected."

"We had a deal. And I want a real marriage, i want your heart." Lia finally confessed with tears in her eyes. She has seen the affection Logan had shown to Ava and she couldn't stand Logan indifference anymore. At this point she could do anything for Logan to love her.

Logan saw the desperation in Lia eyes, he walked closer to her and bent down to whisper in her ears "As long as you are Serefina daughter, you can never have my heart. Since you are her daughter you must already know how much I hate that woman and being her daughter has made that hatred pass on to you." Logan looked at Lia face and saw the tears in her eyes but even that couldn't move him. He turned his back to Lia and told her to leave but Lia words made him stiffened.

"What if I help you to get your revenge from your mother?"

Logan turned to look at Lia and gave her a cold smile "Do you really think I will believe that you are capable of betraying Serefina, you said it yourself, that she gave you your life"

"But she has never cared about me. She has only used me for her selfish purposes and now that I have finally found something that I want she intend to take it away from me as well." Lia held Logan hands and felt relieve when he didn't push her away. "I won't let anyone take you away from me Logan, not even my mother because you are mine."

Logan bent his head and whispered very closely to Lia lips and asked "Do you love me, Lia?"

"Yes, of course I do" Lia voice was hoarse, she felt so much excitement of being this close to Logan but her excitement did not last long because Logan next words were like a sharp thong that pierced her heart brutally "What you feel for me isn't love Lia, it is called obsession and it sickens me."

"Be it love or obsession, I will never let you go." Lia said more firmly.
