The Jaws of Death… it was a metaphor, but it felt real.
Embracing reality… it was difficult. Now, as Alex floated among the many who had the same fate, he wished nothing more than to stay.
Tired of life, even the cold, empty abyss felt warm. From drowning to starving, they were two extremes designed to kill. Embracing both… impossible.
As Alex floated through the abyss without a clear mind or a proper body, a sharp pain emerged from his nonexistent heart. He groaned but didn't react further. Soon, visions of domains with endless darkness and endless light bombarded his sight.
His eyes widened, and his consciousness became clear. Suddenly, he was back inside his physical body, as if nothing had happened.
Arthur sat in a meditative position before him, uncaring of what occurred in his proximity. As he noticed Alex's presence, his eyelids slowly opened. His lips contorted to reveal a faint smile, one that aligned with the excitement he felt.
