Battle Of Roncevaux

As the smirk on Alex's face deepened, he lowered his head to mask it. Before the Saracen army could touch the corpses, the assault began.

Galib's expression darkened before anything had even occurred. His perception detected something, but he wasn't certain what it was. He narrowed his eyes, scouring the area for any disturbances.

"Farraj!" Galib shouted, but it was too late.

As an arrow shot towards Farraj, the man was unable to react. The arrow pierced through the wind at terrifying speeds, barely producing a single sound before digging into Farraj's neck as blood spewed.

It was as if time stopped.

The War had begun.

Farraj's expression froze, and his body trembled. Then, a second later, unable to maintain his balance, he fell face-first onto the ground. His body was soon covered in a pool of blood, rendering him dead.

It was a quick death, but it was meaningful.
