An injured monster is still a monster

The 'Fire-tailed monkey', was the first rare monster that they encountered so far. The level of the Fire-tailed monkey made them hesitate whether they should attack it or not.

Just when Jack was hesitating whether to attack the monkey or not while looking at it, he saw that the monkey was up to something as it was constantly looking at the stream from the tree branch just above it patiently as if it was looking for something.

And as if curiosity made its way to Jack's mind, he ordered his squad to hide in the nearby bushes and wait patiently, which confused the others as they were not sure what was he up to. But as he had already spoken, the members could only follow his order and hence they found a good spot and hid behind the bushes.

After waiting for sometime, to their surprise one more monster came to the bank of river

near the tree where the monkey was hanging to one of it's branches.

This monster was also a new one that they had never encountered before and its level was slightly inferior to that of the monkey as it was level 8.

The monkey seemed displeased with the arrival of this monster whose name was 'one-horned boar', which was clearly a mid-sized boar with a single horn at the centre of it's forehead. And the moment their eyes met, the monkey jumped at the boar from above and they both engaged in a fierce fight.

While the monsters were fighting, Jack and his squad was waiting patiently for the right moment to sneak attack and take them down simultaneously. After a fierce fight, the boar was heavily injured by the monkey and was panting heavily while the monkey was also not left unscratched and was injured severely.

Just when their fight was almost over and the monkey was ready to give the final blow, Jack shouted to his squad to attack, which shocked the monkey as it never expected that there will be someone else nearby nonetheless so many of them and stopped his attack on the boar. As Jack and the others rushed to attack them, the monkey formed the defensive stand and chatted at them in an unfriendly manner, the boar also growled at them as they seem pretty upset about someone interfering their battle and they both stood in attacking formation at the same time.

Shocked to see this new development in the monster's behaviour, Jack had a foreboding that something bad was going to happen as no matter how much injured the monsters were, they had higher levels then his squad as the average level of his squad was 4 with lowest being level 3 and highest being his own as level 6.

And reality proved that his feelings were correct, as soon as they came closer to the monsters the Fire-tailed monkey shot a fireball from his tail which directly hits a person's face and then jumped to the next person's shoulder and bit off a large chunk of flesh from his neck killing him directly.

The faces of everyone turned from excitement to that of horror when they realised how big of a mistake it was to think that they could take down these monsters while they were injured.

As the monkey was attacking the members, the boar was just standing in a defensive position as it's injury was quite heavy and it does not want to spend unnecessary energy. But that does not change the fact that if nothing is done they will be wiped out completely. Watching this turn of event, Jack tried to attack the monkey to save his brothers but was completely powerless to do anything as he was three levels lower than the monkey and its attack pattern was totally random. He helplessly watched his brothers getting injured while he couldn't do anything. And just when the monkey was going to attack Michael, jack subconsciously took out the rusty rectangular box which they found in the ruins and took out a shining arrow and threw at the monkey.

The arrow moved with a 'swosh' sound and struck the monkey in the chest who was just a meter away from Michael. And like that the monkey stopped its movement and hit the ground. Seeing that the monkey falling on the ground which a moment ago was moving in his direction with bloodthirsty eyes scared the shit out of him. After a few seconds, Michael took a deep breath and walked toward Jack and thanked him for saving his life.

After sorting the things and regouping, everyone felt sad for the dead brothers that died by the hands of the monkey and Jack was feeling extremely bad as a moment of bad dicision costed him dearly as three of his brothers were dead and nearly everyone was injured while some being extremely bad.

While all of this was taking place, the one-horned boar was just standing in a defensive position and didn't attacked anyone.

After seeing the horrific strength of the Fire-tailed monkey, no one was willing to take this boar lightly and were waiting for Jack's decision on what to do with the boar. As jack saw their faces, he knew what everyone was thinking and also that everyone was injured to some extent and no one was in a condition to fight the boar except for him and Michael.

And so it was decided that only he and Michael will fight the boar as he had the highest level and was not injured during the previous fight while Michael being only level 4 but like him, Michael was also the only one except him who was not injured during the last battle.

As the greavly injured boar watched two people coming towards him, it ran towards them to attack but being injured by the monkey its movements were sloppy and after a fierce battle it died by Jack's hand.

During the battle with the boar as Jack was the one in front taking the attack, he got some injuries and after the death of the boar Jack didn't even looked at the loot as he walked to the river to wash his injures.

While walking toward the river he asked his brothers to gather the loots from the Fire-tailed monkey and the one-horn boar'.

With some expectation on their mind, Michael and others gathered around the bodies of the two monsters as Michael picked the loots which contained 9 iron coins and a level 5 iron dagger and Fire-tailed monkey's fangs which could be used to make arrow heads.
