A Plan's a Brewin'

Victoria, along with Lady Caroline and the Baron, headed off on a carriage towards Victoria's new school.

As Victoria looked out the window, she noticed that they were headed towards the School of Light Magic.

*I thought I was going to a new school. *

"Why are still headed this way? I thought I was supposed to go to a school for Dark magic? " Victoria asked curiously.

"That's where we're taking you. Next to the School of Light Magic, is the School of Dark Magic. " Caroline replied.

What?

Victoria poked her head out the window. She looked at the dark looking building that was next to the School of Light Magic.

*I knew that the book left out many important details, but I didn't think they'd leave something this important. *

Victoria felt her stomach drop, her thoughts lingered her towards something she shouldn't have.

*That means that Princess Amelia did not only bring down the Dark Kingdom to their knees, but she also controlled the children in the School of Dark Magic.

Children like me. *

*And Prince Arroyo, who was supposed to defend his people, drew his sword against them, and banished them to the Nether Realm. Instead of protecting his kingdom, he chose to ignore it and fight for his lover, Princess Aurora. *

Anger filled within Victoria. She could feel her body becoming tense.

*What a destructive couple. *

Victoria sat back down on her seat. Baron Cohen and Lady Caroline could tell that something was on her mind, but they couldn't bring themselves to ask. It wasn't that they were afraid of her, all their fear has already disappeared, it was that they felt pity towards her.

*'She must be missing her family'* Is what Baron Cohen and Lady Caroline thought. But their guess was far from what Victoria was actually thinking.

*Hmm, being right next to the School of Light Magic is actually a really good opportunity. At first, I couldn't come up with a plan because I didn't know where my new school was. But knowing that it's right next to the School of Light Magic, I can easily keep track on the main characters before Arroyo finds Aurora. *

Victoria's eyes glistened. She didn't know why, but the situation thrilled her.

*Hmm, if I'm going to continue living in this world, I should at least change things up a bit. *

Victoria grinned.

*That's right. If I could change Victoria's fate, I should be able to do something about everyone else's. Plus, my trump card is the fact that I know every single one of the most powerful characters in this world. I know their strengths, their weaknesses and what makes them tick. *

*And there's also.... Ellen. *

*If dad's theory was true, then more of an excuse for me to change everything. *

Victoria finally reached the gates of the School. She hopped off the carriage and waved goodbye to Baron Cohen and Lady Caroline. As Victoria was about to step in the gate, someone from behind, grabbed her. At first Victoria was about to punch whoever it was that grabbed her, until she noticed that it was Vince.

"Vince?! I thought you were at your School? " Victoria asked Vince as he hugged her.

"We waited for you to arrive noona! We didn't get a chance to say goodbye to you when we left the house earlier! "

"Huh? We? " Victoria asked confusingly.

"Vince, do you even know what keeping a low profile means? We're not supposed to talk to Victoria if we don't want her to be found out. " Victor spoke from behind.

"What? Victor? You waited for me too? " Victoria exclaimed with surprise.

"Aww, it's already bad enough that we can't see noona at home, we should at least be friends at school! " Vince replied as he continued to wrap his arms around Victoria.

*Huh, was Vince always this clingy? Not saying I don't like it, I think it's kinda cute. I also like the way he calls me noona. *

"Heh, it really is a Korean novel isn't it? " Victoria mumbled subconsciously.

"What?" Victor asked.

"I-I-I mean, whoa! Haha look at the time! We should really head to class! " Victoria exclaimed nervously, sweat was drenching from her forehead.

Victoria tried to pull away from Vince's grasp, but Vince wouldn't budge.

"Aww Noona! You can't go yet! Let's go to school together! " Vince said while looking at Victoria with puppy dog eyes.

"Tch! Vince! Why are you being so clingy all of a sudden? Can't you remember? She's keeping a low profile! " Victor said to Vince.

"Huh? Are really worried about that? It's okay, we can be friends at school. Besides, no one's gonna find out. It's impossible to have a sister with dark magic. And I was transferred to the School of Dark Magic because it was for my safety. But what's the point of safety, if I can't even hang out with my brothers once in a while. " Victoria said as she lightly stroked Vince's hair.

Victor couldn't help but feel touched at what Victoria said.

"I-i-s it really okay for us t-t-too v-v-isit y-y-y-you noonim? " Victor stuttered.

*Aww, they're so cute when they call me noonim and noona. I wonder why they didn't call me that before? *

"Of course! Let's get along with each other at school, shall we? " Victoria asked expectantly.

"YES! " Victor and Vince said in unison.

*They're like little puppies. Cute! *

*Though my reason for hanging out with them is actually just to keep an eye on them. It's going to be hard to know what they're up to if we pretended that we didn't know each other. *

The trio finally headed towards the gate. Except Vince couldn't come in.

"Huh? Vince what's wrong? Why can't you come in? " Victor asked, his face all confused.

*Right. Vince also had the same incident in the book, where he couldn't come in because his brooch was stolen by Ellen. I guess Ellen stole it this time too. In the end, Aurora helped him get in because she lent him her brooch. But during that time, class was already halfway through, how was he able to get inside school on the first half of the semester? *

"Oh, I know! I'll just go over at the back! Dad told me there was a secret entrance he used to use when he wanted to skip class! "

*What?*

"Is that really something dad should brag about? Geez, here I thought he was a model student!" Victor spat.

*Hmm a secret entrance that could also be an exit. I guess that's how Arroyo was able to meet Aurora. *

Victoria's gaze wandered to the ground.

*If I want to change the outcome of the plot. Then I should be the one who gets to meet Aurora first. *

"Then let's do it! " Victoria yelled.

"What? " Victor asked.

"Let's take the secret entrance! I'm curious now that I know about it. " Victoria replied.

"But what if we get cau-"

"YEEESSSS! LET'S GO NOONA! " Vince grabbed Victoria by the hand and dragged her with him.

"Wha- wait for ME! " Victor screamed and chased after them.

It didn't take long for them to find the spot Vince was talking about, since Vince remembered everything his dad told him.

"Wow, who knows it'd be a shabby old door. " Vince commented.

"I don't know, I kinda like it. At least it's convenient." Victor joined.

"I wanted it to be a little bit more exciting."

"You just want to make things, harder don't you?"

As Victor and Vince started to babble, Victoria's gaze was far from them.

She looked back at the forest behind her, wondering whether or not she should just go now or wait a little longer.

*This is it. I'll be able to meet the heroine of the story if I just pass through those woods. But if I bring her back here, wouldn't that just quicken the pace of Amelia turning evil? The reason why Amelia's position as crown princess was evoked was because Aurora, was revealed to be the true princess. If I bring her here now, without any concrete plan, then I'm just gonna cause myself additional trouble. *

Victoria turned back at the door where Victor and Vince were still bickering.

*Through that door are the main characters of the book that I've still yet to meet. If I run towards the forest now, Victor and Vince would definitely follow me. *

*Plus, I don't know what will happen if I bring Aurora here now. I could just be helping the plot by doing that.

I can't waste this opportunity. If I want to live and go back home, I need to formulate a plan. *

"Noonim? Are you alright? " Victor asked.

Victor's voice pulled Victoria back to reality. She noticed that she's been dozing off for quite a while.

"Ah, yeah I'm fine. " Victoria replied.

"Well then! Let's open the door, shall we? " Vince exclaimed excitedly.

Vince opened the door, and just as the Duke told him, the door wasn't locked. The three siblings entered the door and through it, they reached the far corner of the school garden. As they walked through the garden, Victor couldn't help but glance back and forth at Victoria. Vince noticed this, and kept on eyeing Victor.

Victoria on the other hand was dozing off once again. Her head was up in the clouds.

"She's up to something isn't she? " Vince said to Victor.

"What makes you say that? " Victor asked Vince.

"You and father do the same thing when you're planning something. "

"Are we really that easy to read? "

"When you're thinking? Yep. But when you actually do the plan, it's hard to figure out your motive. "

Victor looked back at Victoria. Her face still blank and her eyes focused.

"Hmm. So, what do you think she's up to? " Victor asked

"Probably something to do with the forest. Noona was pretty interested in it earlier. " Vince replied.

"Then what do you think we should do? "

Vince's eyes widened.

"You're asking me what to do?! " Vince asked in surprise.

"Well yeah, you're the one who had the hunch about the forest, and if she really is interested in going there, then it won't take long until she makes her move." Victor explained.

"Well, that is purely speculation. Since she just saw the door for the first time, she will use it to her advantage, but I think she's still formulating a plan. Though I don't know what the motive for that plan is. But if you're suggesting we follow her... " Vince looked over at Victor, and grinned.

"Well, if you put it that way, then yeah. I'm suggesting we follow her. But only because I'm worried about her, you know? As her brother, I have an overwhelming sense of responsibility! " Victor answered and grinned back.

A smile formed on Vince's lips. He was curious as to know what Victoria was up to, and he found it an advantage to have Victor as an ally.

"Well then, since we don't know anything for sure, I suggest we keep an eye on her. And if she does end up using the door, then, we'll be ready, won't we? " Vince gave off a mischievous smile at Victor.

"Heh, couldn't agree more. " Victor replied with the same energy.

As three siblings continued to walk along, Vince and Victor formed an alliance. As for Victoria, her plan, was still brewing.
