Details:
These are friendly arboreal herbivore creatures who like to play pranks on other monsters. They mostly dwell on trees and hide amongst its leaves and branches. Due to their pranking nature, they are used as slang synonymous with stupid.
The number of their tails increases with age. These beasts are also one of the rare beasts that could evolve. Once they are able to grow 9 tails, they receive a boost from nature and evolve. These are docile and escape at the first sign of danger.

On the tree branches, there were a few monkey-like creatures. After a few seconds of showing the details, the green panel disappeared.
Keek! Keek!
As they screeched, the Mokakas started to slightly bounce on the branch after noticing me.
They were all dark in color, blending easily in the surrounding. All of them had red eyes and looked very similar to the normal monkeys back on Earth.
One thing that caught my attention was that they had three to five tails. A monkey with just one tail was such a nuisance, and these guys had multiple of it!
I looked at them as they got closer to me. They were only three in number. I placed my dagger into the left pocket of my jacket. So I could take it out immediately on the first sign of danger.
Keek! Keek!
The Mokakas screeched as they moved from one branch to another. They weren't even using their arms and just moved with the help of their tales.
As they got closer to me, they stood at a meter distance away from me. Their expressions were easy to read as they had humanoid faces.
With my back relaxed on the tree trunk, I looked at the faces of the three beasts in front of me. It was evident from their looks that seeing a human was not frequent for them. There was curiosity on their faces.
It was as if I had bought a new and strange toy and showed them to kids.
I then moved my left hand forward towards one of the members of the group. I couldn't feel any ill intentions from them. It was the same feeling that little kids gave. They also looked slightly cute, cuter than the monkeys on Earth but less cute than1 the Oryctolas.
As the Mokaka saw my hand approaching, it shivered a little. However, it instantly calmed down when it looked at my calm and composed expression.
I moved my hands over its head and started to pet it. It started to strangely feel like I was back in the orphanage, patting my little siblings.
'His hairs are actually soft, this feels really good!'
As I was petting the Mokaka, all four of us subconsciously let our guard down. The Mokakas moved closer to me while screeching in lower voices.
Kuu! Kuu!
The Mokaka with five tails then moved forward and started to ruffle my hair. It was obviously copying me.
The younger one, whom I was petting, sat in my lap and started to check through the bags on my belt. On the other hand, the third Mokaka which had four tails, started to check through the pockets of my jacket.
'This reminds me how the kids in the orphanage would always check my pockets for candies whenever I returned. Are these guys hungry? I need to do something, my pockets hold dangerous things!'
As they had started their search, I raised my right hand in the air.
Keek! Keek!
The beasts stopped and started to look at my hand. Suddenly from nowhere, a yellow colored fruit dropped on the palms of my hand.
Keek! Keek!
It had only appeared when the five tailed Mokaka jumped and grabbed the yellow starlight fruit. It was so happy to eat that fruit that it just made me smile.
I then looked at the other Mokakas. They too were looking at me with saddened eyes. I said, "Don't worry, there is a lot more of these."
Kuu! Kuu!
As I spoke, I brought forth a couple more of those and gave it to them. They enthusiastically ate them like monkeys! Well they were monkeys in a sense…
This amazed me a lot! I gave them one more fruit each as I pet them while they ate.
"You guys are closer to humans than most of the villagers!" I strangely started to talk to them. "Only if you guys were able to speak the same language as me, I would have actually taken you guys along with me on my adventure."
As I spoke, I turned towards the sky to look at the glittering stars and nebulas. It was funny how I was bonding so much with a beast whose name was synonymous with 'idiot'.
"Maybe I'm an idiot, ha-ha…" I gave a self-deprecating laugh.
After a few minutes, the Mokakas finished their meal and looked towards me. Noticing their gaze, I looked back at them.
"That's all I'm going to give you guys. I'll have to stop somewhere and grow some more before giving it out for free like that!" I thought that they wanted more fruits.
Just when I said it, the youngest climbed on my head and sat on it. With both of its hands, it grabbed my hair. Meanwhile, the other two sat on each of my shoulders.
Keek! Keek!
They started to screech and each of them pointed downwards.
"Do you guys want me to jump back on the ground?" I asked.
Keek! Keek!
They started to bounce on me with their light weight, as if answering me with a yes.
"Can you guys actually understand me?" There was doubt, curiosity and a little bit of excitement in my voice.
Kuu?
The Mokakas made a confused expression.
'I guess they could only understand body language and face expressions.' I thought inwardly.
Thud!
I jumped off the branch I was resting on. Looking around I noticed the surrounding. At the center was a burned campfire, I had already stored the charcoal that was left. On a corner there was the big rock. I wasn't planning on storing it as it would take up a lot of useless space.
Keek! Keek!
The Mokakas again started to bounce on me. I could feel their multiple numbers of tails slithering at my back.
Then, the young guy slightly pulled my hairs with his left hand. His action surprised me and I yelled, "Hey!"
Kuu! Kuu!
All three of them started whimpering. Noticing their reactions, I sighed and said, "Do you want to take me somewhere? Or is it just some kind of game for you guys?"
Keek! Keek!
They again started to bounce and slightly pulled my hairs towards left. Following their directions, I started to walk left. Their reactions confirmed that they wanted to take me somewhere.
***
It had been ten minutes since I started to follow the Mokakas' directions. They were taking me deeper into the forest. Also, they had been very quiet and focused since the moment we left the clearing.
I looked at the star that was facing south and realized that we were walking west, probably. I actually had no clue where we were going anymore.
Each of my hands was holding a dagger. If a monster were to suddenly attack us, I was ready. While my mind was busy monitoring my surroundings and following the directions of the Mokakas, I heard the trickling sound of water.
Since I had used my 250 liters of water without being stingy, by using it to bathe and wash as well as to drink, my reserves were quickly draining. I knew I had to find a source of water quickly.
The Mokakas then took me towards the direction of the sound of the water. We entered carefully through the bushes. One thing about water bodies was that, it was the most probable place to encounter any kind of living being, whether it is beasts or monsters.
As soon as we entered the clearing, I noticed a big lake. The surface of the lake was reflecting the beautiful stars in the sky. The scene was nothing less than enthralling!
Thankfully, the clearing was empty. There might have been some creatures in the lake so we moved carefully towards it.
As soon as we got closer, the Mokakas quickly left my side and jumped downwards to drink from the lake. With a swift and quick motion, I also filled my Space 2 back with the cold water of the lake.
Since I was also a bit thirsty, I drank some water directly from the lake. There was no creature in it. Atleast, I wasn't able to get a glimpse of anything.
Just as the Mokakas finished quenching their thirst, they climbed back on me. Then they guided me to walk along the lake, which I did.

After about five minutes of walking, we had left the lake behind and were now standing infront of a stone structure.
"Did you guys want to bring me here?" I asked the beasts while looking at the building.
Kuu!
The Mokakas then got down and replied with a low screech. The youngest then came towards my legs and pushed it slightly forward before running away with the other two.
"Wait! And they are gone…"
I was now left alone in a large clearing, facing an obviously man-made stone cave or a crypt which had strange markings on its entrance.
