She nodded afraid that the man would kiss her again.

They drove back. Inside the car carried the air of ambiguity and it stifled Louise even more.

She opened the windows to make her blushing subside. Her straight black hair danced freely against the wind. She held her hair to avoid it getting tangled. Occasionally, a few strands of her hair brushes against Augustus' face.

They never talked again what transpired earlier.

"Don't open it for too long, lest you feel cold." The man gently reminded her but then Louise didn't responed. Eventually,  Louise closed the window but she stayed silent. He was not bothered by it. Instead, his lips had a small arc on its corners.

Augustus drove carefully towards the company.

"We're not going back to the manor?" Louise asked as she noticed their route.

"En. Lander and Brandon prepared a small gathering for you..." Augustus replied with a smile.

"Ohhh. Okay. Let me tell Alice. I promised to treat her a meal." Louise retrieved her phone from the compartment.

"Tell her that we are waiting at the Winter Hotel." Augustus didn't mind that she invited Alice without his knowledge.

Louise just texted Alice, afraid that she might disturb her work.

After a few minutes, they arrived at a modern looking building and the sign "Winter Hotel" hung ostentatiously on the outside.

They drove straight towards the basement parking.

The duo boarded the elevator and Augustus held her hands again. This made Louise blush again.

Did it mean that he is now her boyfriend?

Augustus still had that small smile. He was quite happy with the development.

He never thought that Louise had the same feelings for him. Even though he did not ask, he still knew it. Her infatuated face when looking at him was that one thing.

Actually, he noticed it a long time ago but he didn't express his feelings. He acted normaly in front of her. He just showed her his gentleness and care from time to time. He respected her decisions and fulfilled her small wishes.

Louise was still in cloud nine. She couldn't believe that this out of reach man has feelings for her.

"Are we dating now?" She blurted out her thoughts which. made Augustus smile even more.

"If that's what you want..." Augustus let her call the shots. Anyway, she is his in this lifetime and the next if there is any.

This made Louise speechless. It was so sloppy of him to make her think of things between them.

"Then will this change anything between us?" Louise was quite an insecure person. She didn't show it but Augustus knew this as she knew that she had no family to rely on.

"Nothing will change. I will still be the same and you can do so as you wish. It's just that I have an official title now and from time to time, I will exert it to keep bees away."
