Chapter 5:

Cleaning up the table quick Nolan, Caighlen and I put everything away and showed Remus and Fendall into the living room. Sitting down on my loveseat Caighlen joined me as, Nolan sat in his favorite chair and the guys took up the coach. Looking at them I never really realized how big they really were until they sat on the coach, they made it look like the love seat Caighlen and I were sitting on, it made me and Nolan laugh as we shared thoughts. Feeling Caighlen's arm go around me I looked up at him as I snuggled into him and shared what we had been thinking seeing him smile and shake his head at us.

'We are large by nature. If you think we are big now just wait until you see us in the water,' Caighlen commented nipping my ear as I giggled.

'Just how big are you guys in the water?' I asked bunching my hands in his shirt.

'Probably bigger than your dragons,' He commented smiling as I looked up at him in awe.

'Dragons? What are you talking about?" I asked curious as he looked at me in surprise then looked at Nolan.

"You two don't know what you are?" He questioned flabbergasted as we looked at him.

"What do you mean?" Nolan asked confused.

"He mentioned dragons, but I have no idea what you are talking about." I replied confused also as the other two looked surprised as well.

"You mean you don't even know that you are water dragons?" Remus said with his eyes open wide and I shook my head no.

"No, all we know is that we are humans with an unnatural call of the ocean and that we can communicate telepathically with each other, other than that we know nothing." Nolan explained as I bounced in my seat.

"So, wait are you telling us we are water dragons?" I asked excited.

"Well, yeah. It's pretty obvious at least to us." Fendall said slowly looking back and forth between us. "So you mean to say you have never shifted?"

"No, we're always in our human forms. I mean sure I have a voice that talks to me about going home but that's it and even then that is really recent within the last couple of weeks." I replied seeing Nolan's head whip around to me surprised.

"You have a voice too? Man, I don't know how I didn't notice it sooner!" He said smacking his head. "You kept acting all weird spacing out and looking at the ocean I figured you just wanted to swim, but it makes more since now! You were talking to her weren't you?"

"Of course." I said nodding my head rapidly. "Wait, you have one too?"

"Yeah, but I got mine quite a few years ago. I think it was around the time I discovered Rina." Nolan said scrunching his face as he thought back on it.

"That's normal, usually you get your split personality when you shift but in some cases it happens when your about to meet your mate." Caighlen said nodding his head.

"Well, that's good. For a while there I thought I was going crazy and hearing things." I said relieved putting a hand to my chest.

"My question is why did your parents never tell you more about yourselves?" Fendall said suspicious as we shrugged our shoulders.

"No, idea. You'd have to ask them." Nolan replied back.

"Would you mind if we talked to your parents?" Caighlen looked down at me and asked.

"You can ask, I'm sure Mrs. L. wouldn't mind coming for a visit again so soon." I said looking back at Nolan seeing him nod his head.

"Yeah, I'm sure she'd love that." Nolan said and got up to call his mom.

"What about your parents?" Remus asked confused as I chuckled.

"That would be a little bit hard considered my parents are dead." I said tilting my head.

"Dead?" Fendall asked and I nodded.

"Yeah, they were both murdered about 6 years ago but hey who's counting?" I said looking at them as Nolan come back into the room.

"Mom, said she could be down tomorrow afternoon at the latest." He said as he sat back down in his chair and looked at us, "What did I miss?"

"They were wondering about my parents." I replied looked at him as he nodded.

"Oh, yeah they were murdered 6 years ago, about 2 years after we moved out here. Mom never talks about it, she says it's too hard to talk about because she lost not only her best friends but my pa as well. All we really know is that some random shooters came in when everyone was sleeping and shot up the place. Her parents and my dad were dead before any help could even come. My mom was gone for the day at a conference, she came home the next morning as the officers were cleaning up the scene." Nolan explained glancing out the window.

"They never found the shooters. Which is why Mrs. L. told us not to come home and to just stay where we were, so we did. She was so stressed out she never even let us return for their funerals, but instead had a live skype call so that we could watch the whole thing." I said shrugging my shoulders, feeling the familiar sadness creep up on me.

Wrapping me tighter in his arms Caighlen pulled me closer.

"That must have been an awful thing to have to experience. Not being able to see your parents one last time." Caighlen said sending me comfort and love.

"It was but we learned from a young age that everything was done for a reason. Our parents said there was always a chance that something bad might happen. I mean sure at the time we didn't think that it would be that but we just have to remember to keep on living for them because that's what they wanted most. Well, that and having Nolan and I become mates." I replied chuckling as Nolan gave me the stink eye and Caighlen growled pulling me closer.

"Oh relax. It's pretty obvious I feel nothing for him but brotherly love and both of our parents knew that. They just loved to hope and dream." I commented with a smile snuggling even closer.

"You know thinking about it, they must have known we shared a special bond." Nolan said thinking about it.

"You know you're right." I replied thinking about it then we looked at each other and started laughing.

'I bet they noticed when all of a sudden you came into the delivery room and demanded to hold me!' I teased through our link.

"HEY! That's not fair and you know it!" Nolan shouted while crossing his arms and pouting.

"I DEMAND YOU LET ME HOLD HER RIGHT NOW!" I mimicked him while laughing and he flushed red.

"Well, if you wouldn't have called me to you the minute you were born it would have been different!" He cried flushing the deepest shade of red as they all looked back and forth between us, so I explained.

"When I was born I accidentally called Nolan into the delivery room and he demanded that he gets to hold me. It was so funny because everybody just looked at him in shock and were taking so long so he just walked forward and grabbed me right from their arms and refused to give me back." I said laughing feeling tears come to my eyes.

"It's not my fault. You called and I came! It was a compulsion I had no control over that!" He said embarrassed.

"You called him to you when you were born?" Fendall said with wide eyes.

"Well, yeah. Isn't that normal?" "I questioned looking up at Caighlen as he shook his head amazed.

"No, not at all." He replied and I looked down.

"Oh." I commented and Caighlen lifted my head up too look at him.

"There's nothing wrong with you love. If anything it just goes to confirm our suspicions." He said and looked at the guys.

"Definitely confirms it." Remus and Fendall said simultaneously while I frowned at them confused.

"What suspicions?" Nolan asked with an edge to his voice.

"I'm thinking that maybe we should hold off on telling you until your mother gets here. She might be able to enlighten us even more. I don't want to just throw accusations out there knowing your mother could have more of an answer to what we are thinking." Caighlen said slowly with his eyebrows furrowed together.

"We've been waiting. You said you'd explain." I whined throwing my hands in the air exasperated.

"I know I'm sorry love. But I would really like to wait until his mother is here, if that is okay? It's only until tomorrow afternoon and then you will have all of the answers you want." Caighlen said grabbing my hands and looking at me. I could feel his frustration because he wanted to tell me yet he really wanted to know the full story before giving me a full answer.

"I understand besides I know where you are coming from." I said looking at him with a smile feeling him relax. Looking at the clock I almost gasped.

"Is that really the time? Oh, man we really need to get some sleep Nolan." I said as I saw the clock said 12:30 p.m.

Glancing at the clock his eyes nearly bulged.

"Jesus. I didn't think it was that late." He commented and looked at me. "Any chance my boss might be lenient and let us take the day off?" He joked as I threw a pillow at him.

"Don't be ridiculous! We all have to work tomorrow, there is no way I am letting you talk your way out of that, it wouldn't be fair to everybody else." I said glaring as he laughed.

"One could only hope." He mumbled. "Alright, I'm heading to bed."

"You better be sleeping on the floor!" I called after him before he left the room.

"Ugh, buzz kill." He said pouting at me.

"Just because she's in your bedroom doesn't mean I'll give you a free pass to crawl into bed with her." I said crossing my arms as he put his arms in the air.

"Yes, mom." He replied and left the room as I shook my head.

"I swear. Some days he's like such a little kid." I commented with a smile. "Now, how about we get you two a room so we can all rest up?"

"Sounds good to me, been a while since I've slept in a bed." Remus commented as he got up and stretched with Fendall following suit.

"Alrighty, let's go." I said and started heading up stairs walking to the first bedroom on the left I told Remus he could sleep in there, then gave Fendall the second bedroom on the left.

After saying good night Caighlen and I headed to my bedroom. Closing the door we took off our clothes and crawled into bed as I snuggled up to him.

"You know I usually wear nightgowns to be but for some reason tonight I just don't want to." I said almost half asleep as Caighlen kissed my head and held me.

"It's the mate bond. You want to feel as much of me as possible and clothes tend to get in the way." He said matter of fact and I made a hmm sound and was out like a light.

Hearing my alarm go off I moaned in protest and snuggled into Caighlen more.

"Come on love. Time to get up." Caighlen said kissing my face.

"No, I don't want too." I moaned in protest as Caighlen laughed.

"I do believe it was you who said everybody still had to work today?" He teased and nipped my skin making me moan.

"Okay, okay. I get it. I'll get up." I said sleepily as I got up and stretched hearing Caighlen growl.

Turning my head I smiled as I saw him watching me with desire in his eyes.

"Like what you see mate?" I teased running my hands down my body watching his eyes track the movement.

"Of course I do. What a silly question to ask." He commented then got up and scooped me into his arms as he leaned down to kiss me.

Feeling his arousal on my leg, I let out a moan and slowly ground myself against him as he tightened his arms around me and walked into the bathroom. Setting me down I watched as he started up the shower, biting my lip as I watched his back side. He has such a scrumptious looking butt and those muscles on his back. I could feel body heating up as he growled and looked back at me with my favorite glowing bright blue eyes, letting me know he was turned on. Turning fully he walked forward and picked me up into his arms and started kissing me as he walked us towards the shower and stepped in. Moaning at the feel of the warm water and my body pressed against his I started to move my hips and whimper in need.

Gasping my thighs, he pressed my back against the wall and thrust into me. Moaning in pleasure I dug my nails into his back and looked into his eyes as he thrust hard and fast. Breathing heavily he shut off the water and picked me up to exit the shower then set me down and dried me off, then himself. Watching him in the mirror I brushed out my hair and brushed my teeth then walked into my bedroom and entered my closet and threw on regular work clothes, I don't feel up to my normal run today which is unusual because I go for a run everyday but I'll blame it on the mate bond. Suddenly remembering he had nothing to wear as I walked back out.

"I just remembered you and the guys have nothing to wear. I think Nolan is your size if you guys don't mind wearing his clothes?" I asked while looking at him as he turned to looked at me, watching his eyes look me up and down.

"That would be fine, we won't be picky. Things happened so suddenly so I'm sure they won't complain." He said in a husky voice as he watched me with the eyes of a predator making me shiver.

"Okay, I will be right back then." I said and left our bedroom. Our bedroom, I like the sound of that. I thought chuckling as I felt Caighlen's happiness shoot through the bond at my thoughts.

Knocking on Nolan's door, he opened it with disheveled hair and boxers.

"Couldn't have at least wore a shirt?" I teased.

"Eh, to hot and far to early for that. What do you need?" He said running a hand over his face.

"Could I get a couple sets of clothes for the guys? I figured you all might be around the same size." I asked and he nodded his head then walked away from the door and into his closet.

Hearing Rina groan she sat up and looked at me stretching.

"What time is it?" She asked then looked at the clock. "4:20 a.m. Why are you up so early?"

"I usually get up this early, I'm actually usually out for my morning jog at this time but I didn't feel like doing that today so I stayed home." I said leaning on the door frame watching as she nodded her head then got up and stretched as Nolan walked back from his closet, growling as he saw her midriff as she stretched. Shooting her head over she blushed at Nolan's hungry stare then lowered her shirt and turned back to me as Nolan walked over to give me his clothes.

"Would you mind if I borrowed some of your clothes?" Rina asked looking at herself.

"Of course, Caighlen and I will be in the kitchen so feel free to use my bathroom and anything you want from my closet." I said as I exited the room and walked to the other bedrooms. Cracking open Malcom's door I set the clothes on the dresser and set the alarm clock for 5 o'clock then left the room.

Going to the next bedroom I knocked lightly and waited as Fendall opened the door with a sleepy look.

"Hey, sorry for waking you. I just thought I should give you a pair of clothes, they're Nolan's we figured you were close in size." I explained as he nodded his head. "Also, breakfast will be at 5:10, if you want to set an alarm?"

Shaking his head he rubbed his eyes. "Thanks for the clothes, I'll be right down as soon as I freshen up."

"Okay, by the way there are fresh towels and toothbrushes in the cupboard behind the door in your bathroom." I said smiling as I walked away from his room and to Remus's door and knocked.

Hearing the door open I looked up at Remus as he rubbed his eyes then looked down at me.

"Sorry, for waking you up. I brought you some clothes to wear, they're Nolan's we figured you were close in size. Also, your bathroom should have fresh towels and bathroom products behind the door in the cupboards, if you want to freshen up. Breakfast will be served at 5:10 but if you want to come down sooner that is up to you otherwise you can set an alarm to get a few extra minutes of sleep." I said smiling as he took the clothes and nodded his head.

Turning I started walking downstairs hearing movement in the kitchen. Walking in I walked up to Caighlen as he was washing out a pan and hugged him from behind.

"You don't have to do that. I can do the dishes." I said nuzzling him.

"I don't mind. Besides what kind of mate would I be if I let you do everything?" He said turning around to wrap his arms around me as he nuzzled me back and leaned down to kiss my lips.

Sighing contently I leaned into him just as Nolan walked in.

"Really, you guys in the kitchen? Was this morning and last night not enough?" He teased and I went red and looked at me.

"You heard us?" I gasped mortified.

"Kind of hard not to when your bathroom is separated by one wall from my bedroom." Nolan chuckled. "But I don't blame you. If Rina was ready for that you definitely would have heard us."

"Heard us what?" Rina questioned as she walked into the kitchen and we watched Nolan turn red.

"Nothing." Nolan replied quickly as I laughed and Rina looked at me confused.

"Nolan hear was just..." I started to explain when Nolan's hand shot over and covered my mouth.

"Not another world, little demon." Nolan said giving me a look as I eyes him amused and he moved his hand.

"He wants to make love to you." I finished as I looked at her smiling. Watching as she registered what I said and turned red while Nolan growled at me throwing his hands in the air.

"You never seem to have a filter!" Nolan exclaimed.

"Well, duh, thanks for finally figuring that out princess." I replied sarcastically as Rina and Caighlen laughed, then turned as Remus and Fendall walked into the kitchen glancing at us.

"What did we miss?" Remus asked.

"Nothing!" Nolan and Rina said in unison then looked at each other and started laughing.

Remus and Fendall looked at them and then shook their heads.

"Scratch that. We don't want to know." Remus said and Fendall nodded in agreement as Nolan looked around confused.

"Where's Malcom?" Nolan asked.

"Still sleeping. I set his alarm for 5 o'clock. You know we aren't going to get him out of bed any sooner than that." I giggled and walked back towards the kitchen to start breakfast.

"Mind if I help?" Rina questioned as she came up behind me.

"Be my guest." I said shrugging as we started to put together a healthy breakfast.

I chopped up fruits as she fried up eggs and bacon, then I made some oatmeal and grabbed out some dishes and passed them over to my mate. Mhmm my mate. Stopping to watch him as he set up the table while chatting with the guys.

Turning I grabbed out the orange juice and milk then walked over to the table and set them down. Glancing at the clock it read 5:08. Walking over to Rina I helped her bring the food over to the table and sat down just as Malcom came into the room. Stopping he looked at us and groaned.

"Seems I was the only one left out of bonding time." He pouted crossing his arms.

"That's because you don't like getting up early so we let you sleep longer." Rina commented as we nodded our heads in agreement as he shrugged his shoulders.

"Oh well, at least I got here in time for breakfast." Malcom replied as he sat down at the table, then we all started passing around the food. Piling food onto our plates we started to eat.

"Thanks for helping out with the eggs and bacon, Rina." I thanked her as I looked up from my plate.

"No problem, it's the least I can do." Rina said with a smile as she dug into her eggs and a few pieces of fruit.

"Rina the bacon and eggs taster awesome!" Malcom commented as he shoveled food down his throat as Rina and I looked at him grossed out.

"Co-Co there is this neat little thing called chew chew chew and swallow, ever heard of it?" I teased looking at him as he gulped down his food and looked up with a flushed face as we laughed.

"I can't help it, it just tastes so good." Malcom whined as Nolan made a weird noise in the back of his throat.

"More like, you never eat breakfast unless it's the fresh buns that Raihl puts in the breakroom at work." Nolan teased and Malcom raised his fork at him.

"Don't judge my life." Malcom pouted as Nolan put his hands in the air laughing.

"I ain't judging, I'm just stating a fact." Nolan shot back then continued eating.

"Co-Co, you know you really should make sure to eat a proper breakfast, those fresh buns I bring in are not a proper meal. They are more like a snack." I scolded him as he shrunk in his chair giving me puppy eyes.

"I know but you guys both know I can't cook to save my life." Malcom whined as he continued eating.

"You know it's not that hard to learn a few of the basic cooking skills. I'm more than willing to help you out." I told him as I stuffed some fruit into my mouth as Rina nodded her head in agreement.

"Yeah, I know we would be more than willing to help you learn how to navigate the kitchen." Rina teased as Nolan pouted at her.

"What about me? Will you teach me?" Nolan whined looking at Rina as she shook her head.

"You had an actual cooking class. If you STILL can't cook after that, I don't think Raihl or I would be able to help you now." Rina said with a smirk on her face as Nolan's face fell.

"That is so not fair.." Nolan whined as I threw a strawberry slice at him.

"Cut it out. It is completely fair! I mean come on Nolan, we had a personal governess who taught us full time and you still couldn't navigate the kitchen. The only thing you could do was bring out all of the utilities that we needed to use." I said raising my eyebrow at him in amusement as Rina laughed.

"This is totally not fair. You two are totally ganging up on me!" Nolan shouted crossing his arms.

"What did you think would happen when you two finally got together?" I asked amused and he looked at a loss.

"Yeah, Nolan. I mean come on. You knew what we were like before hand. Why did you think that would change? It's girls against the world!" Rina commented as her and I started laughing.

"You two are evil." Malcom said as Nolan nodded his head in agreement.

"Evil you say? Just you wait, you two have seen nothing yet. I mean just imagine Nolan, you and Rina just finally got together, we have so many more years together!" I exclaimed clapping my hands in excitement watching as he turned white.

"Oh god." Nolan said almost looking sick.

Laughing Rina slapped his back and we all went back to eating. Finishing our food Rina and I gathered all the plates and started to put everything away and clean up. I washed the dishes as she put the leftovers into a container and set it in the fridge. Glancing at the clock I sighed.

"Time to go!" I called out hearing Malcom and Nolan groan in protest.

"SUCK IT UP YOU BUNCH OF BABIES!" Rina shouted from behind me as she winked at me.

Shaking my head we walked towards the door and slipped on our shoes. Pocketing my keys I turned and grabbed Caighlen's hand as we all exited the house. Stopping quick I locked it up and we all headed towards Nolan's truck.

"You know, we sure will be a sight." Rina chuckled and I looked at her.

"Right? I wonder what people will think of us today. Seeing as all of our vehicles are still at the center and now we are all showing up in Nolan's truck with three extra guys." I commented laughing.

"I swear people are going to think we are totally being pimped out." Rina shot back as we giggled some more and hopped into Nolan's truck.

"You two think the weirdest things." Nolan said shaking his head as he started his truck and pulled out of my driveway heading into town.

Arriving at the Dive Center we exited the truck and I walked to the shop and unlocked the doors. Glancing back as everybody entered after me. Turning on the lights I went and flipped on all the signs as Malcom, Nolan and Rina all headed into the back to get ready for the start of our day. Grabbing my clipboard I looked over and I watched as Fendall, Remus and Caighlen stood there looking lost.

Catching Caighlen's eye I walked over.

"Okay, so I'm not sure what to really do. But if you would all like to, you can help me out with shop? But that is completely up to you." I said as glanced at my clipboard.

"Doesn't matter to me. I'm obviously not leaving anytime soon." Caighlen commented as he walked over to me and pulled me into his arms and kissed the top of my head.

"Seems we are at your disposal." Remus joked as we cracked a smile.

"Sounds good to me. Let me see what I can have you do." I said with a smile as I looked down at my clipboard and flipped through a few pages. Biting my lip I walked over to our schedule board and I started writing things down while adding their names then turning back to them.

"Okay so this is our schedule board. If you have any questions on what you might be doing you can either ask me or look at this board. For now I'm just good to have you guys bring boxes out of the warehouse and restock the store." I said as I grabbed the warehouse keys and a three folders. "These are the keys to the warehouse and these folders will tell you where to find things and also where you can put them. I created this myself for all the new workers so they are very detailed and should have everything that you need."

"I'd rather stay with you." Caighlen said giving me a smirk as I shook my head.

"I am pretty sure if you stayed with me all day long I would get nothing done." I teased as Remus and Fendall chuckled and Caighlen pouted. Giving him a hug I jumped up and kissed his cheek just as Becky walked in.

"Whoa! What is this? Did you like win the lotto or something?" Becky commented looking shocked, as Remus snapped his head towards the door.

"Hey Beck! This is Caighlen, Fendal and Remus. As of today they will be helping out." I said as I pointed to all the guys.

"Yeah, I think I could get used to this." Becky said slightly dazed.

"Goof, by the way, Caighlen is mine so paws off." I said with slightly narrowed eyes hearing Caighlen chuckle and pull me closer as Becky looked at me shocked.

"Wow, when did miss single get herself a man." Becky teased as she put her stuff on the counter.

"Eh, yesterday?" I said looking sheepish as her eyes widened.

"Yesterday? And you didn't tell me?" Becky pouted. "Who else knows?"

"Everybody here but you...we kind of ran into them yesterday on our hike and well, Caighlen and I hit it off instantly." I said sheepishly while looking up at Caighlen, seeing that he was already looking down at me. Blushing I looked away.

"Man, if I didn't know you any better I would seriously say that you were lying. But in all honest you two look like you were made for each other." Becky teased with a grin then looked at the other guys, freezing as she gazed at Remus.

Looking back and forth between them I smiled.

"Hey Beck. You know if you stare at him hard enough you might just get his number." I teased and she blushed then quickly ran into the backroom as I laughed then turned to Remus who was watching the doorway she just went through.

"Hey Romeo. That's Becky, she's a great employee and totally awesome. Also, she is 17, so watch yourself." I said pointing a finger at him as his eyes widened.

"Man, everybody is finding their mates. Makes me wonder how much longer it will be before I find mine, seems you're like the main attraction for hooking up mates." Fendall teased but I could see the hope in his eyes. Aw someone wants a mate.

'Of course. We've all lived long lives so far and our existence gets lonely even though we still have each other.' Caighlen said caressing my mind.

'Well, I am going to make it my personal mission to find him his mate.' I shot back looking up into his eyes.

"So she's 17?" Remus asked looking at me.

"Yep, but she's really mature for her age. Compared to the other 17 year olds in this town, but that probably has to do with the fact that her parents don't codel her, they give it to her straight and definitely raised her right. By the way her 18th is in 4 days." I said cheekily as I looked at him and he rubbed the back of his neck.

"What do humans usually do for an 18th?" Remus asked confused looking at Fendall.

"Usually, they just hangout with friends and family at a birthday party and in case you are wondering we already planned a surprise birthday party for her, everyone is meeting here at 10 o'clock, we are taking the boats out on a dive tour. She's been saying how she'd love to visit the little islands so we planned a whole day of just touring and visiting the islands." I told him as he nodded his head.

"What should I do?" Remus asked sheepish.

"Easy, get her a present maybe a necklace or bracelet? She loves dolphins and sea turtles. Either that or maybe buy her a double stuffed oreo cake from Frankie's Bakery, it's her favorite!" I replied as he nodded his head again. "If you need any help just ask any of us, we are more than happy to help out."

"Thank you." Remus said smiling down at me as everybody came back into the front.

"You're welcome. Now let's get started!" I said clapping my hands after I put my clipboard under my arm.

"You are far too excited." Malcom teased as he shook his head.

"Shut it Co-Co. Or I will make you take my tour at 3." I threatened as his eyes got wide and everyone chuckled.
