They say marriage is one of the greatest joys you’ll experience in life, but what does it say about your marriage when you can’t remember a single moment with the man you married? Veronica experiences the strangest thing one day when she wakes up in a hospital room without any memory of how she got there. She is introduced to her family who appear warm and loving at first but she soon gets a glimpse of how they want to use her for her money. Veronica is then surprised when a man enters the room and it is revealed he is not only her husband but a big hotshot businessman whose face is all over the news. She doesn’t understand how she got herself tangled up with such a man and later questions the accident which led to her losing her memories. Chapter 52
Veronica got up from Liam's chair when he returned with her water and chips. She stood by the large window to look out at the city as she ate. She didn't know how he got any work done with a view like this. She was lucky the art gallery didn't have this kind of view of the city.
"How are the chips?"
Veronica turned around to look at Liam. "They are good. They're not too salty. Can we get more of these at home and the juice? Just a little so I don't eat too much at once. I should work on having a little self-control with these chips."
"We normally have some at home. They're probably being ordered to be stocked up. There are more in the break room if you want another. I think you're the only one who eats them," said Liam.
"Good. Then I can have them all to myself. Are you ready?" Veronica asked, wanting something else to eat since the chips weren't enough. "I can go get something else myself if you are not done."
