Chapter 111
Veronica laid on the carpet with Liam's shirt covering her to keep her warm. She was not in the mood to leave just yet so she decided to lay around before she got up to take a shower.
Liam laid behind Veronica. He checked that the doors were locked and then came back to Veronica. "What is on your mind?"
"Everything. It's good that you didn't listen to your mother. Even if I wasn't in your life, you should have stayed away from the Smiths. Your uncle did nothing to prove he wouldn't turn on you but that's nothing new when it comes to Benjamin. It's still disappointing," Veronica said.
It would have worked out well for them if Benjamin was going to turn on Vance. It would be even better if Adeline decided to join but that was not going to happen. Veronica didn't trust that Adeline would be out of the city for long and even if she was, she could still be communicating to her father.
