Secrets he doesn't know

in another part of the city,close to the huge Central university.A young man sat in a not so fancy restaurant as his mind went back to the conversation he overhead this morning going on between his parent. it wasn't a new thing for his parent to quarrel, as they quarreled every morning and night and his father always ended up hitting his mother who would always cover her face with thick make up in the morning with smile on her face, as she tried to hide it from him. Not that he hadn't tried to confront them, but each time, his parent denied like there was no fight going on amongst them and instead tried to create a fake picture of a harmonious couples in front of him like he was a one year old child who didn't know from left to right.

He had gotten ready as usual and headed down the stairs for breakfast so he could head for university when he heard his father hit his mother.

"You bitch, you are not going to say anything to him and you will have to do that unless you want to fucken leave this house!"

His mother had wince in pain but still retorted.

"Joachim, Ellen his our only child and has to know what family he was born into, you cannot hide it forever!".

"And what rights do you have to be able to make decision in this house?," "I said you cannot tell him and that remains that. so, you better keep your mouth shut and listen to what i say!"

"But and his mother, and I don't want him to follow in your footsteps. I want him to know, so that he his aware of what his happening and you don't manipulate him to become like you! "

his mother screams and when he realizes the situation was getting worse, he decide to step out and walk down the stairs.

Immediately his parent heard his footsteps, they ceased speaking and his mother stands up and approach him with huge smiles, trying to hide the tears that had slid down her cheeks.

"Mum, what's going on here?" he stares at his mother then his father. But, as usual, his mother plasters a huge smile on her face then slightly frown.

"What are you talking about Ellen, I and your dad were just having a family discussion. Then she walks over and places her hands on his shoulder.

"come Ellen, I have made your favorite dishes, you should have them, then hurry to the University!" but Ellen just stared at her, then glances at his father and made for the door, then walks out of the house.
