The night raged on, on both sides where one slept peaceful and the other didn't get a wonk a wink of sleep.The next morning, Tricia work up as usual and headed for the university together with Valerie after having breakfast with the family.

At the end of each academic year, the university which was a very famous and reputable one owned by the Withhealds, usually held a closing ball for all the students especially the graduating year students.But that was not the only occasion coming up as the celebration of Halloween was also around the corner, and that was to be held a week before the semesters exams.

As usual, the school environment is bustling with students. but there is more excitement in the air as they awaited they celebration of Halloween and most importantly the end of the years ball for the graduating year students.Most students couldn't wait yo dress IP and showcase their customers as they had been preparing since the beginning of the academic year.

This particular time, Tricia and Valerie decided to head for the schools famous recreation center and spend their morning as they had no lectures till noon.along the way, they pass by other students who were either entry or exiting the building. Stepping in through the revolving door, the both decide to stick together and therefore went into the playroom.The playroom made use of HD graphics to create an illusion of stepping into another Universe which made it the favorite of most students.As expected, the room was packed full and different stations were occupied.

As the duo walked to one end of the room that had free systems and dealt with 3D games.An arrow appeared out of nowhere and headed towards their direction. Valerie screams and Tricia pulls her away the target hugging her.

"What was that for?"

she utters seriously shaken as the arrow looked so real.

"Sorry sweetheart, that was part of my Creation!"

A guy in blue googles appears before them.He gives them an apologetic smile and blows bubble from the gum on his mouth.

"Roland, hurry up!. the aliens are increasing!"

A lady in the same colour of googles screamed from behind and the Roland guy tips them a salute before walking back to their station where the lady was with some other guys.Valerie stares at his back for some seconds then snorts.

"When did I your to an alien in your fucken Creation?"

She felt like screaming and accusing everyone inside the room which in actual sense was a hall even though it was called a room.Tricia who sees the annoyed look on her face pills her away before she could make a scene which looked very plausible with her eyes that were roaming around the place and and her lips that had twisted to one end.

When the duo had finally pet he'd themselves each on a system that were lying side by side, they began to lazy away their morning on the computer screen. Getting closer to noon, Tricia suddenly remembered that she had to visit the library and glances at her wristwatch then turns to Valerie.

"I Think I will have to leave here, I need to use the library!"

"what!"

Valerie who's concentration was on the computer screen only glimpsed half of what she said and turns to her with a confused look on her face.Tricia stares back at her and she Bali is her eyes.

"I said, I need to check something at the library so clearly am leaving !"

"No problem!"

Valerie responds indifferently and turns back to the system leaving Tricia surprised and gaping at her as the usual Valerie would have wanted to tag along with her or at least, question why she chose to go the library when they were clearly having a good time, complaining of how she would feel lonely without company. Thinking maybe she,didn't understand that she meant she was leaving the library she decided to try again.

"Val are sure you heard me?"

Valerie turns back to her and responds.

"Of course, you said you needed to check something in the library.Aren't you going again?"

She gives her creepy face glance then smiles.

"Oh!, don't tell me you are waiting for me to tag along with you."

Tricia makes to speak but Valerie continues cutting her shut.

"I don't have to do that all the time or people would think that am a puppy always following you around just because your family or should I say your caretakers are rich folks and_,"

She chuckles at the end leaving Tricia shocked and speechless at her.she finally moves her lips and stutters.

"You are acting strangely val!"

rather like a whisper. AND for a second it felt like she saw black shadows hovering around her best friend and she blinks her eyes and it disappears as Valerie chuckles again.

"What are saying princess!, of course I was joking!"

The words came out sounding sarcastic but Tricia does not believe it.Valerie smiles and her eyes twinkles and Tricia stares at her for two seconds then sighs slowly.

"I hope you are okay val!"

she spoke In a worried tone then picks up her bag and pushes in the seat.

"What is that?, am very fine and see you later bestie!"

She blows her a kiss and turns back towards her system causing Tricia to give her and odd look before turning Away.

As Tricia walked Away from the reaction center, she kept wondering why it looked like Valerie was behaving differently and strangely.she shook her head and thought again, she remembered seeing things that liked like black shadows hovering around or to put on a better way surrounding her. she had seen it one second, and the next it had vanished like it wasn't there.she wondered if it had anything to do with her not sleeping well last night.speaking of las night,her thoughts began to wander to her conversation with Edward and how lonely he must feeling having to live there alone.she wondered if it was okay to visit him after the semesters exams.Even if it meant missing the ball as it wasn't even paramount to her cause she wasn't in the graduating year.But then, the Withheald twins would be pissed with her.

By the time she had reached the library, the thoughts about Valerie and what had occurred in the play room had been past and forget ten to be left at the back of her mind.Stepping into the huge brown building which was big enough to be calls a manor in the olden days and served the purpose of a library with the huge red and white letters placed at the entrance of the placed that read 'LIBRARY'.The library had five Floors and three librarians where the last two floors were the E-Library and the third floor was used for reading while the first two floors were filled with books which were claimed to be outdated and not needed by the students while only the head librarian and the school management had access to it.

Passing by the librarian who offered her smile in return for her greetings, she heads for the third floor as she needed to make reference to a book she discovered in one of the shelves and had been making use of it for a while now in her projects.

Now walking along the rows of shelves inside the library, she Searches for the book which seemed to have vanished into thin air.She didn't think any other person would show interest in it as it had been abandoned all this while with no one showing interest in it.Pushing the thought aside, she decides to check the other shelves as maybe, a student nay have picked it up then replaced it in a different place as some students were either too lazy and thought it as the work of the librarian to sought out the books while some forget the original place and decide to place it any other place.

After half an half of going through different shelves, she realizes that she hadn't even gone past quarter of the shelves in the library and decides to give UP and find another textbook similar to that, That would provide useful information. Glancing in some of the books around her, she walks back to the shelf she had found the previous book.Finding another one similar to the other, she walks back to the reading booth and takes a seat in a secluded corner.

After and hour of writing out the information and analysis that she would need, she closes her writing pad then pushes it aside before flipping through the remaining part of the textbook.finding nothing interesting enough, she rises from her seat and walks back to place the book into its shelf.

Immediately she walks away from her seat, a lady with short black hair and blue eyes walks unsuspiciously and slips into her seat. She mutters something under her breath and glances around Carefully then looks at the cameras around before looking down like she Was reason thanks yo the compartment separating each booth.She picks IP Tricia's bag and rummages it then places it back looking slightly flustered like she couldn't find what she was searching for.She raises her left hand and mutters some words lowly then opens it slowly to find Tricia Wilton still written on it in faint black letters.She glances at her wristwatch then looks around cautiously before slipping away from there and heading to the direction if the shelves.Hear I g footsteps approaching, she stops by one of the shelves and pretend to be looking for a book.The footsteps kept increasing and Tricia appears heading towards her seat after returning the book in its shelf.As she walks by her, the lady stops and subtly turns around glancing at her from head to toe.

"Seems normal!"

As the girl walked further away.

Reaching the seat he had occupied earlier, she doesn't bother to sit down and just picks uP her writing pad and stuffs it into her bag then heads out of the library followed closely by the lady who stayed five feet's behind her.
