Being a hunter was now the most dangerous work that existed ever since the portals and dungeons showed up. It's my dream to be a doctor, a neurosurgeon specifically. but since the portals and dungeons showed up and people starts awakening, my dream of being a doctor needs to be dropped, for my sister developed this illness caused by the awakening called the eternal sleep.

This illness causes for someone's life force to be taken away from them, and put into coma but thanks to advance medicine and science, they developed a new kind of life support that keeps the people infected by the eternal sleep alive and well but still in a coma state. My parents were also nowhere to be found; they just suddenly vanished like the other people in the world, and authorities still doesn't know where are they.

I registered myself to be a hunter, once I've learned that I have gone through awakening to support my sisters need of life support and to pay for the everyday expenses. because even though being a hunter is hard, it also pays very well.

It's hard being in the lowest rank of hunters rank, because you get the least job and got discriminated all the time, especially if you are not in any team. I was identified as one an E-class hunter, when I was evaluated, they even said that I might be the weakest among the weakest because of my mana level, which is 10. It was a struggle at first, to find jobs or team that will hire me, that's why I am glad that I met Stephan and Alice that formally made me part of their team and it help me a lot.

"You hurt yourself again Demetri, why did you come to my rescue, do you really have a death wish?"-Alice.

"I'm sorry Alice, but you will be dead if I didn't do it. my skin is much thicker than yours, I am glad you are okay"-Demetri

"I'm not hurt at all, but you are really in a bad shape"-Alice

"I'm glad you are not hurt, it looks like speed is only a good thing I can be proud off"-Demetri

"Woy, Don't move ass I'm healing you, your wound will open up again"-Alice

I've never been in a raid that I came out not hurt, every time, even though my skin is thick, perks of being an assassin, even in the lowest rank dungeon, I get wounded. I'm so disappointed of myself. I wanted to be stronger, much stronger so that I can protect the people who are important to me, especially my sister.

After the raid, I sat on the corner while watching the harvest team take out all the mana crystals and the monster carcass out of the dungeon, when the dungeon boss was taken out, the dungeon automatically shut and disappear, like it didn't appear at all. After dealing with the dealer, Stephan gather us around to give us the portion of the profit for today.

"Can we get more than this or cut his pay, we all know here that we did more than this E-rank"-other Assassin.

I did not comment to what he said and stayed silent. The other hunters begin to support what he said and I can't do anything about it and about to agree but Stephan begin to talk.

"Everybody stop, if it's not for Demetri we would already lost are only healer, you all know how hard it is to get a healer for a team, healer is a big demand and very few"- Stephan.

No one dared to talk back to Stephan because he is the strongest one of all us, being the only Class A Hunter in this group. After checking if the profit has already been transferred to our account using our membership cards that projects a screen that shows are stats, we part ways.

"I'm sorry for those things they said to you Demetri"- Stephan.

"It's okay Stephan, I'm used to it already"-Demetri.

I said to them with a smile, but I know they are not convince.

"Why don't we eat the stress away, let's go eat Pares"-Alice.

"I'm sorry I have to go to the hospital to pay the bills, maybe next time"-Demetri.

I bid my farewell to them and began walking to the hospital not far away from where we did the raid. I pay the bills immediately once I arrived, the remaining money is all I have until the next raid so I have to budget it properly because it's not much. Even after the visiting hours ended already, the nurses allowed me to visit my sister, because they already know me.

"Hi there Diana, how are you?"-Demetri.

I said to my sister even though I know she will not answer. I replace the dried flowers on the side table with the new ones I bought.

"I got hurt again in the raid but thanks to Alice, I always get healed, it's embarrassing but just like always I successfully protected her from those monsters"-Demetri.

"It's getting lonely here Diana, I promise you I will do anything for you, and I will continue looking for pa and ma, I will not lose hope"-Demetri.

I peck a kiss on my sister's forehead before leaving. I stop by the nurses station to say good bye and take my leave. As soon as I arrive home, I took a bath first, to wash off all the dirt and monsters blood before eating the noodles that I bought in the 7/11 that I stop by near our house.

While eating, I turn on the television to watch the news and same as always its all about the dungeon, and portals accidents and the top hunters locally and international. I can't help myself but to feel envy on those hunters, giving a great contribution in defeating the monsters, I wish I were as strong as they are.
