MORE STUDENTS?!

Krad was happy for getting this inspect skill,but at the same time,was saddened that it was unable to get more information about the short man.Though he already knew that this was the academy's deputy principal,he wanted to test it.

To his shock,the system stated that he was the principal instead of the deputy principal.He got hunches that Druid must have been replaced already.Watching the man being escorted by the two knights,he got angry.

He remembered this same person speaking about replacing Druid when he was in the principal's office.He knew that Frank was no good person for some unknown reason.Why did he want to be the principal so bad? Questions after questions with no answers filled Krad's mind.

Finally,the man stood infront of all the students and teachers.A grin wouldn't leave his face as he looked at the students."You guys don't know what's about to happen.Just continue to relax like that, very soon, you'll all be full of horror.Hmhmhm."He chuckled to himself in his thoughts.

"Tutors,non-teaching staff,and students of The Academy of Magic.It is an honour to represent to you, your new principal.Me."The students were shocked and began talking to each other.

"What did he just say?"A boy asked his friend.

"You heard him alright.He is the new principal,tadah."His friend replied annoyed.

"What happened to Druid Sage?"

"Am just asking myself that too."

His sharp ears caught the mentioning of Druid and he got infuriated."Shut up!"He shouted with warnings in his voice.The students realised that this man was a ticking time bomb,as he got angry very fast."I,Frank Bloodvessel,will be your principal.Whether you like it or not!And there are a new set of rules that you must adhere to."His voice was quite high.

"First of all,all students will last four years now instead of three in this school."The students groaned and moaned when they heard this, mostly the third years."What was that again?!"He held his ear as if he did hear them clearly.All the students went quiet again."So,there will be more practical classes for beast hunting than usual.Half of the beast crystals you collect will be taken by the school.Those two changes must be adhered to."With that,Frank left with his two knights.Then the tutors and non-teaching staff left.The students also had no choice but to leave.

It was already in the evening,so all students and teachers were in the dining hall having their dinner.Frank,the principal, was nowhere to be seen.The tables were full of foods of all types with the magic trays and spoons still serving the students.The tutors seemed to not be talkative this time,but the same couldn't be said for the students.They had hot news burning them.All the happenings and changes were so fast.

On their usual spot,Krad and Wendy were having their meal.A spoon steadily flew at Krad serving him noodles.That made him think,what exactly controlled all these magical items?That was another question with no answer.

"Wendy,can I trust you?"This question caught Wendy off-guard."Why's he asking me that question?"Wendy asked herself as she put her spoon down."Ah,yes,yes you can.Why are you asking me this question?"She had to ask."I want to start a journey.A journey to save humanity,a journey to stop the war.And I can't travel alone.I may like for you to join me."If the other students had heard him,there would have laughed their heads off.But on looking him on the eyes, Wendy could tell that he was serious,so she must also be serious.

"Krad,I know this is a big thing that you are planning.The world of humans is on a verge of braking, including the other races.They need heroes,and it would be an honour to join you in this journey."She declared.Krad was satisfied by her answer,so they continued eating and talking more.

"Krad,the thing you just did in class.You produced wind attacks without a wand,how was it possible?It has never been heard of a human using magic without a wand,you really are special."Wendy said."And where's your drum?"Krad was debating on whether to tell her the truth or ignore the question.But then he remembered Wendy said he can trust her.

"Last week I broke into the principal's office."Krad whispered.This came unexpected for Wendy that she almost got choked by the food."You what!"She had lost her control and had shouted.Everyone including the teachers were now looking at them."Nothing to look at here guys,come on mind your own businesses!"She said out loud.They complied and continued with what they were doing.On where the teachers sat, Eugene wasn't eating,he kept on hitting the tray of food with his spoon bored.When Wendy shouted,he had become suspicious of what their topic was.

"Do you know that news had spread about an intruder breaking into the principal's office and ruined everything there that it was hard to tell what was taken and what was not?"She controlled her voice more perfectly now."Of all the people I never expected it to be you.What were you even doing there?"

"There's something that no one knows of,except me.And since I can now trust you, I'll tell you.Druid Sage is...is..."

"Is what?"Wendy interrupted.

"Come closer."Wendy got close to him across the table since she was sitting opposite Krad.She could feel the comfortable warmth that was coming from him when he reached for her ear."Druid is my father."Wendy almost shouted again but she quickly held her mouth with both her hands and got back to her seat.She uncovered her mouth when she felt like she had relaxed.Krad was giving her unexpected surprises.

"He's your father?"She asked,still maintaining her voice."Well,not quite my real father,but a type of guardian.He found me on a planet full of beasts all alone when was a baby.So you see,am kind of an... orphan that now I've even lost the only parent I knew, Druid."Wendy felt very bad on learning about Krad's story.She couldn't understand the pain of having lost everyone from your family,but understood half of it.A frown was planted on her face."Oh sorry.I didn't mean to affect you like that."Krad said as he had noticed her sad look.

"Don't worry about it.My story is nothing compared to yours.Let us just eat."Krad knew something was wrong,but decided to ignore it for now.Wendy did not look like she was ready to talk about it.

With the usual morning beast roar timer,the students prepared for their lessons of the day.Krad woke up early,and got to speak to his roommate a little.He seemed to be a very quiet person with mysteries surrounding him.Well,at least Krad got to learn of his name.He was called Caleb Mist.He was also a first year,but was from a different class.On using his inspect skill,he also learnt that Caleb was a werewolf.

Heading to class,Krad found Wendy standing outside as usual, waiting for him.He didn't know why she was acting like this."Good morning,Krad."She said."Good morning to you too, Wendy."Krad replied.As usual,the troll face greeted them."Hi there kiddos!Have a great magic day."Krad asked himself if there was a troll face on the doors of the other classes.That was something he'll have to investigate.

On entering, they were amazed at how bigger and wider the class was.This wasn't how it was yesterday.There were more extra seats than normal.

"Are we having more students?"A girl asked her friend.

"It looks like so."Her friend,a boy with gelled hair said.

They all settled waiting.Krad looked around and saw that Davis was already there seating at the back.Well,he seemed more better than yesterday,but kept on avoiding direct eye contact with Krad.After some time,a group of students walked in.They were around twenty in number.They all went and occupied the empty seats,they would only talk to each other and would avoid talking to the other students.Using his inspect skills,Krad was both happy that it worked this time,and shocked with how strong they were compared to the others, mostly him.

Krad was shocked.He himself had only five points on strength,while one of these new students were crazy strong,and they had more natural powers than humans.He was sure that he was the only one who knew that they were all vampires."I hope I don't have to face them currently with how weak I am."Something had caught his eye,he saw Davis for the first time react since they entered the class.He had walked towards one of the vampires,and befriended him relatively easily."Did he notice how strong they are too?I hope what he's planning is not bad."Krad thought.
