once is a coincidence ( the glimpse)

sounds of laughter around him and yet he couldn't feel the happiness in the air, tucked at the corner of the cafe staring distantly into his coffee. He needed to leave this city soon, he wasn't the kind of person to settle down in a place for too long. He had his backpack packed already and was ready to leave, his destination unknown just acting purely on instinct.

He snapped out of his thinking and drank his now cold coffee, stood up, carried his backpack and left to where his car was packed. Suddenly, he tensed, everywhere stilled and then his nose started filtering through the scent of sweat, alcohol, and perfumes for that peculiar vanilla scent that caught his attention and then without much effort he found it, staring at the back of a strawberry blonde girl with a floral dress, who was talking to another girl on jean they seemed to be laughing about something but he didn't know why he was waiting for her to turn so he could see her.

He was confused, curious and stressed, he doesn't have time for girls right now, admittedly judging from her back profile she was sexy, he shook his head to clear the stray thought he was able to disconnect himself from the trance he was in and was about to open the car door when she turned halfway, he was shocked and captured by her cute little button nose and her plump lip and for the first time in 18 years his heart throbbed, seeing the sideview of her face only and he knew she spelt nothing but trouble and he didn't need that now so he got into his car and drove off to play the game of guess.
