A warm-hearted person
His wife was actually a warm-hearted person, as from his perspective, if she were a cold-hearted person, like how she had acted in front of him so far, the kids, who had no blood relationship with her, would not act this way toward her.
It was not a surprise to find that cold-characterized mothers were adored by their biological children. But for them to be adored by non-biological ones was a different case.
